I saw one site that said 100% of Asian-Americans are lactose intolerant

http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddisease ... ance/#risk

Between 30 and 50 million Americans are lactose intolerant and certain ethnic and racial populations are more affected than others. Up to 80 percent of African Americans, 80 to 100 percent of American Indians, and 90 to 100 percent of Asian Americans are lactose intolerant. The condition is least common among people of northern European descent.

Are they serious? I don't even know any Filipino who is lactose intolerant.

Yup same here.

I don't even know a Filipino thats allergic to peanuts.

Back on topic, IDK if im ever gonna drink something nasty because im soo thirstyand I have no choice, the first thing I'd drink is my own pee.

And thankfully, ive never been that desperate in my life.

Same for me, we play a drinking game, where the eventual loser has to down a pint of 'donations' which consists of something from everyones drink.

Same idea for me, just with shots. Ended up with like a double whisky/gin/sambuca/black Aftershock one time. Stupid game, not recommended.

La lune ne garde aucune rancune.

Something I kept drinking not because I was thirsty but because it was a challenge between me and two friends was water with the following:

-Orange juice

-Milk

-A1 sauce

-Kool-Aid powder

-Lemon juice

-Sparking grape juice

-Lemonade powder

-Blue Cheese

I THINK that was everything. It wasn't that bad except when you got to the A1/Blue cheese clumps. Ew

I once bit into a cod-liver oil tablet in the hope of it making me vomit. It didn't, it juts slid into every corner of my mouth and had me falling about the bathroom trying to spit it out. Even after several pints of milk my mouth still tasted disgusting.

Never ever ever again.

Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!

11 glasses of soured milk. I had a competition with my "friend", but he couldn't go further after 5 glasses. Don't try that at home. I guess it's healthy, but it really doesn't make you feel good. AND soured milk tastes awful.

Do you mean the AMAZING 7.4% Brothers Pear Cider? Either way the answer is no. You must never taint BPC with any other drink, it would be blasphemous!

Over a year ago, I took ill advice from a friend offering free booze...his uncle made some moonshine he didn't like so he offered it to me...I drank it like it was water; the taste was so muted, that I wasn't aware it was close to 180 proof.

I won't go into specifics about what happened that evening; I tried to block most of it out, but I had a date the next night at around 9pm...the hangover was still in full swing at that point. It carried through the 2nd day and quite aways into the 2nd evening. Horrible, horrible fallout.

I don't wanna go to school tomarrow so I'm hoping it will make me sick lol

You have issues :-s

For it is the greyness of dusk that reigns.

Worst thing for me was raw scrambled eggs. I was making eggs and I scrambled them, and my dad dared me to try it. I did. And Ill tell you it was not very good.

Something called a brain haemorrhage, which was actually quite nice tasting, but looked terrible and had a terrible consistency. Felt like ... something rather nasty slipping down my throat.

The worse thing I have drank (that I can remember) is ketchup and milk...Gross!

Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar!

Oh I do remember this one drink I had, some stupidly strong alcoholic cocktail I had. It was called something like Rocket Fuel, and good lord it tasted like it too. My throat was burning for days.

But kept on drinking cause your thirsty... So what is it for you? Like right now I'm drinking some milk, and it tastes kinda sour, but I don't wanna go to school tomarrow so I'm hoping it will make me sick lol. So whats the nasty thing some of you guys out there have drank/ate?

Hah! I hope it was that milk that made you sick! .. Yeah, he wasn't feeling well last night and didn't attend school today.

Anyways.. Worst thing I've tried it whiskey. I didn't keep drinking it ran around trying to find something to stop the burning.. Needless to say, I won'y be trying whiskey again for some time..[/code]

Yeah, I have the same problem and wikipedia doesn't explain that. My heritage is half scandinavian and half south-european but intolerance occurs in neither half of my family.

Also, (I'm not sure which country you're from, always thought you're Czech judging from the little flag in your avatar) the statistics don't mention a whole lot of other people, like those living in the middle-east, russia, etc. who also consume lots of dairy products.

Edit- lol, I'm blind. The flag in your avatar resembles the czech one but in inverse colors. Sorry. Not sure where you're from.

What are you talking about? :? The Czech flag has a blue triangle and a red and white horizontal stripe. The flag in his avatar resembles Canada at most, and it's in his location thing.

Also, didn't you say Nordic folk were not lactose intolerant? You're confusing me. :?

You have issues :-s

I sometimes do the same thing as well. I have a problem with eating cereal (no, I'm not lactose because I used to drink loads of milk), so I take these lactose tablets when I eat it. Well one night, I ate cereal without them so I would get sick and miss school the next day. Which I did. :D

Are they serious? I don't even know any Filipino who is lactose intolerant.

I'm not full Filipino, only 1/4 I think, but I'm lactose intolerant enough that if I eat a bowl of cereal with milk(and don't drink the milk) I will clear out the room and have to visit the throne in an hour.

Worst thing i've ever had.... Vault and goldschlauger.... Projectiled into my kitchen sink :L

~M

I'm the only person in my immediate family that isn't lactose intolerant. My mother experiences the worst symptoms (back pain and things like that); most people on her side of the family are lactose intolerant; My father experiences mild symptoms, my sister and older brother are a little worse than my father but a little better than my mother; I'm not intolerant to it at all. So yeah, it stands to reason that most people are lactose intolerant. Besides, milk is intended for infants in their early stages of development.

I think the worst thing I ever drank was a shot of whiskey. Nasty stuff. I'm not insane enough to drink things that oviously don't go well together (like steak and cake... eew).
