December 17, 200619 yr Jellies drop thread too. A remarkable number of mid-level monsters seem to drop steel axes. Fire Giants, Aberrant Specters, Jellies, Zygomite, Kalphite Soldiers, Ice Giants, Pyrefiends, Dust Devils, etc. Even monsters that mostly drop mithril and above drop steel axes. What is it about steel axes that makes them so common? Not only that, they're annoying to get as a drop. Not worth alching or keeping to sell, but you always seem to pick them up.
