the phrase "hooking up" has different meanings EVERYWHERE. And in all different contexts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"I hooked up with him last night and it was hot" means something very different from "We weren't sitting together at the play, but after the performance ended we hooked up and got dessert together" means something very different from "Yeah, did you know the two of them are hooked up now? Ridic!!"
