December 23, 200619 yr What is valued more in game now? Skills or money? To me it seems people will value money and appearences more now than obtaining a 99 skill, for example people choose to keep a blue party hat over getting 99 in atleast 5 skills. A while back skills were truely important but now 99 cooking and fletching became too overcommon from people wanting skill capes, this again puts people off a 99 skill as it isn't even special anymore! So do you value money or skills more? Myself I value money as it helps me raise skills and I use skills to obtain all I have ( not very little right now ). Thanks for reading and post your opinions : I AM SURELY GOING TO WIN THE AWARD OF THE MOST LOVED TIP.IT'ER EVER, SURELY?
December 23, 200619 yr skills easily, not becasue of the cape, i have always enjoyed having a high total and high skills
December 23, 200619 yr Skills. Why not money? Anyone could find full dragon in wilderness. :P "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
December 23, 200619 yr Money is more valued in the general runescape population, it seems. Hanging out in Edge W99 shows that the majority of high level players own seemingly useless, expensive, yet stylish items. Me personally though, could care less about those types of items; I will not waste my money on them. I'd much rather spend 1m on gaining a few levels in a hard to level skill than spend it strutting my stuff. I used to own Dragon Legs and a Zamorak platebody, but I sold them in favor of torags. Just about the only 'fancy' items I own are ones I have gotten from treasure trails but have been too lazy to sell, like my two pirate hats and green boater, or the free or cheap kind, like random event clothing, hearaldic steel kite and helm, and things like those.
December 23, 200619 yr I never understood why people want rares or fancy items anyway when I had a p hat, I was scared to wear it anywhere, fearing my mouse batteries would die, or I would get a random and not know it. Im happier with money in my bank that I can use for skills when I decide to do so.
December 23, 200619 yr I value skills more than money, but that doesn't mean I won't own some expensive rare. The money gained from the constant rising is greatly appreciated, as it funds my skilling habits.
December 23, 200619 yr I'd go with money. With money, comes skills. For example, if you had 100M, you could go get 99 magic, and with 99 magic, you could PK like crazy and earn all your money back in a week. :D (If your not a noob PK'er like myself .. lol)
December 23, 200619 yr Money. I enjoy buying things, then getting bored, elling them, and buying different things. You occassionally make profit too, thats a bonus. Thanks To: Everyone for the siggies, especially Kal for the Pixel.Currently Playing: FIFA 07, NFS: Carbon, Morrowind and Dungeon Siege II.
December 23, 200619 yr Alot of skills require money to raise, so money. For this purpose, I totally agree, but.. for many (young?) players money is only important to brag about and to spent on useless game-items like santa's or phats.. So.. it's skills for me.. (like the game is originally intended to be :-w )
December 23, 200619 yr Skills, but without money skills take too long, think about it. :-k edit: apparently I'm not the only one who thinks so :P
December 23, 200619 yr hmm well i respect skills more but it takes money to get high skills lucky barrower-dh legs, veracs skirt, karil skirt, karils top (x3), dh pl8,karils coif, half key(x2), x-bow, ahrims robetopgoodbye Piman1053 Thu Jul 26, 2007 1:05 pm326death326 is banned~~~EVERYONE ADD MY NEW MAIN "Y0uknowwho" (first o is a zero)
December 23, 200619 yr Skills, every time \ Expecting a good life because you're a good person is like expecting a bull not to charge because you're a vegetarian.

Im happier with money in my bank that I can use for skills when I decide to do so. I'm like that with my party hat. I like only wear it if i'm talk to people or about to get a special level. WASTE:P I have both skills and money. I don't spend money on skills. I have 33m in my bank I could spend on skills but I choose not to. Probably end up buying a rare. So I guess I value both :-k Quit RuneScape :)

December 23, 200619 yr Money, as I'm a bit short atm.... Oh and once you've got the skills you can't raise them anymore, so there's no trying out new training methods and having parties when you get to a certain level. I know my sig is random, but hey!
December 23, 200619 yr A while back skills were truely important but now 99 cooking and fletching became too overcommon from people wanting skill capes, this again puts people off a 99 skill as it isn't even special anymore! Not true getting urself 99 cooking or fletching gets you ranked at about 1500 out of the odd 10mil players thts not common Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
December 23, 200619 yr Personally, I find raising skills as nothing more than an attempt to gain recognition through having more free time. Now money, that can be used for fun (and recognition other than through rares, like being a Barraging saviour in a Castle Wars game :o). There's DK'ing, CW, the expensive but nerve racking (thus fun) Fight Caves, KQ'ing, etc. And of course walking around with a party hat on is fun. Skills? In my eyes it's a just frikking number. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

Those capes are certainly more commmon but are still an achievement nontheless. It's a slightly odd way of looking at it to think 'No I'm not going to achieve 99 in a skill because all those other people beat me to it.'
December 23, 200619 yr Skills, I don't really use money all that much. I prefer to get any dragon items and barrows items by actually going out and killing the monsters, not buying the stuff from some pker. perfect grammar is one thing, typing like a drugged monkey and enjoying it is anotherAMEN!
December 23, 200619 yr Skills, I could just make money with my skills. Which actully you can use money on skills if you think of it the other way. 99 Mining 99 Smithing 99 Runecrafting 99 Slayer 99 Herblore These would make quite alot of money. Tbfgraphx14Happy to find I'm not the only one who eats glass.
