world 96 just south of port sarim jail last night, there had to be around 50 of them cutting willows. Personally i think they should have a patrol of jagex mods hopping worlds but staying at the same location just banning all they see.

Are you kidding? That might cut into Jagex's profits.

"If Jagex refuse to do it we will!

We can form groups of people, no not groups!

An army, a RED army!

An army builed and based on the hopes of the communism!

The communism was builed by the workers but ruled by the cruel.

But we can still make our dream - 'coz we are all equal!

Maybe they won't give me the paradise with out autoers

But that is not nessersary, I will fight for it myself

if I have too. I have a dream. Not like freedom to one race

like what Martin Luther King Jr. fought for, but

I have a dream, and I will keep it and it will be a

DREAM of freedom to every single scaper between 3 and 126.

A dream that a world with appear without the snakes in our paradise

A dream that world with no autoers exists in reality!

This is yet not a dream but a fact!

We can fight for this world with no autoers

And react out for the dream..."

Describing the "anti-autoers army" using algebra/mathematics and english:

So my point is that we can form a group of people walking around RuneScape and deviding the autoers up between each other and report them. Using this equation:

Now Jagex have annoced that they wishes everybody to warn before reporting so before telling who to report who they say loud and clear:

"We are hunting down people using macro. Please a bit away if you are not". Then all the autoers would proberly remain - there should be a player mod amoungst the hunters so that people with public chat off also would hear it.

Now logically only autoers would remain so now they can easy tell who to report who and begin the reporting. Tell all non-autoers that it's over and go to next spot.

Now this would be hard to organize but if it was repeated constantly over a period you would get rid of autoers!

Now consider, what would you most like, spend 1 week day every 1-2 weeks to walk around reporting which would take 2 hours maybe. Or living with autoers making RuneScape a hell of a game to play?

yea lets take down runescape, not. i like all of those people who tried to kill millions and take over the world. yea everyones friends with them. lets go back to WW2, will do that, put all of the macros in prison camps.(im jokeing)

okay im done i had too. but lets have an army Player Moderators. so my membership expense dosen't go up. jagex could just go and pick like 100 or so ppl who hate macros and repot like 10 every day. that have the power to ban. yea thats right just ban them  i win.

yea its probibally unlikly but at least its better than the prison camp thing.

I was being sarcastic... I have been one of the leading complainers about Jagex's lack of attention to problems in the game, like macroers and scammers.

Unfortunately, the company these days only seems to care about money, and nothing else.

~q

so you've been complaining?

have you actually done anyting to help change it?

What would you suggest I do?

Stand there reporting them all day so my reports can be ignored?

Post about it on the Runescape forums so Jagex's band of sycophants can lock the thread and quote me lies about how Jagex is working hard on the issue?

I've spent a couple hundred hours of my time writing a comprehensive site to help people avoid scams. I wrote two articles on a gaming site to help raise awareness and increase the pressure on Jagex to clean up its act. I've spoken out loudly and often to get Jagex to reverse some of its idiotic policies.

What more would you have me do? What has anyone else done?

if you want the problem solved, being pessimistic won't help. report sites for gold traders, as they're the main source of macros, or report ingame gold traders and buyers.

if you want to know what others have done, there was a group of people listing out gold buyers for reporting. it's a pleasant way to spend your day, especially since they're easy to find.

Not a pessimist, an optimist. I am hopeful that if enough people put forth the effort, we can get Jagex to change.

And in the meantime, I am doing my part to help people from falling victim to the scams Jagex refuses to fix.

Uh huh. Sure.

There are sites devoted to doing this stuff that have been around for years and are still there. I've spent my fair share of time in the past reporting to Jagex, and it's pointless. They simply don't care.

The Macroer Outbreak is becoming a pandemic. I log on to world 7 Falador Cabbage Patch to hang out with some OoC and this is at like 10PM PST and the Yew trees are FLOODED and COVERED in AUTOERS/Macroers, I mean, I remember seeing like 3 or 4 there a month or two ago, but there was atleast a 20 all clustered over those few trees.

I smell mass-banning coming again, just like Jagex did to the Green Dragon autoers (which come back anyhow). It's neverending, just like the war on drugs in America.

Wolfy is Officially Retired.

I miss you all (Well, mostly my friends n stuff)

If you want to talk to me, send me a message, I check the boards daily. :D

reporting autoers is like a teenager voting, he/she thinks one vote won't count -.-

Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob.

People in OT eat glass when they are bored.

Woot! Person Record!!!

Reported 19 macros in under a minute! God I'm good!

No you didnt...

You can only report once per minute.

Macros=good.

According to Duke_Kaleb's signature, I see a PMod crown next to Duke Kaleb.

PMods have no wait limit for reports.

Ontopic: I try to report as many as possible. They ruin the game.

Heh, and you're implying that there is an end and all we have to do is to get rid of the existing macroers and everything will be peachy again. Guess what? You're wrong.

qeltar is 100% right to say that 1 vote doesn't count. It would be like voting on one issue, when an infinate number of the same exist... Believe it or not, but that makes the issue worthless.

Reporting an autoer, even considering the autoer is banned in 4 days and over 80% of autoers are banned, the macroer still makes a profit believe it or not.

Reporting is useless. It's not Jagex's problem, reguardless if they like it or not.

think of the ways we can stop these:

- we can do mass banning, very large numbers of people just banning them all - maybe a tip.it event or a part of a tip.it event. many tip.it events include many people parading through varrok and other hotspots

- boycott trades from autoer masters - not sure how this would be done

- boycott the gold selling sites, the main source of autoers - easy but the kind of people here on tip.it dont buy gold anyway.

- introduce something into the game to stop them - many suggestions on tip.it that would temp stop them but they would just rise from the stinking ashes again

- if anyone knows the real life law of the trades, my dad said if the licience policy was in a certain way it could be against real life law to trade. not sure about this one

Well, I think the bots and GP farmers have infiltrated World 2. When I go there to sell my Blood Runes from Ankou/Barrows or buy Deaths/Minds when the chest doesn't give any, I see level 11s with the usual bot appearance saying 'Buying Air Mind Fire Water Earth Body Runes 15ea! - Lao Ming Gao (not a real name)'. They say the same thing over and over. It's really annoying.

Why don't we do a name and shame policy here

post a macroers name, where they macro and all the tip it community can arrive the mods amongst us can give them a warning. then we can all report them.

mob rule!!!

alternativly Jagex could give the/selected Player Mods the power to make macroers attackable even when not in wildy!! now that would vent a few frustrations

Lol vimes220, those are quite horrible suggestions. If they cared about appearence they wouldn't be level 3 without any signs of achievement and have un-creative names.

And keeping in mind that Jagex doesn't want to give Pmods the right to ban let alone play with macroers makes me doubt the second

Reporting does help and jagex do seem quicker on removing gold selling sites now.

Since ebay have join Jagex to stop these trades this must leave alot of jagex mods with nothing to do anymore. (Wheres as they were banning accounts that have just been sold this would now explain the personal repliys from customer support.)

A few other things you can do to get back at macros:

-First find out how they make there money (eg, selling to a shop, banking) and shut any doors in there path.

- Some macros folow words on the screen, so dropping yews and then leaving a trail in to a load of monsters works, same with pure essance.

-Folow them to there drop trading spot and steal the money.

-Leave a trail into a house and lock them in.

-Teleblock them in the wilderness.

Common macro spots:

-Rimmington yews

-Rimmington willows

-Port sariam willows and yew

-Varrock yews

-Varrock essance mine

-Green dragons

-Cosmic respawn in the iced part of the wildy

-Rimmington and all other arrow shops

-Magic shops

-Draynor willows

-Cathbary and fishing guide lobster spots

-World 1,2&3 auto trading
