I was talking with a friend about price changes in stuff, like guthans. And this guy came to said he could trim armour with lvl 51 smith. I ignored him and chatted with a friend whose grave was worth 500k - the angel of death gravestone.

 

 

 

the scammer insisted that he could train armour with lvl 51 smith and 82 mining. he soon gave up on trimming armour and asked to wield another guy's dharok axe - that guy had full dharok.

 

 

 

okay, now the scammer turns to me and asks to wear my party hat for a few secs. he claims he's a jagex mod. here's where i made my mistake. with my friend beside me, and after he having attempted to scam those around me, i began to get impatient and switched to teasing the scammer.

 

 

 

i joked with my friend that i was a jagex mod as well ... and asked for the scammer's password. there ... and a passerby reported me immediately after seeing that i had a red partyhat.

 

 

 

i believe that conversation / evidence was not complete and was authored. to frame me lol. it was "cut off" right after "dont report me" because the next thing i said was "im jkin" ... i'm sure the mod did read that. what's wrong with being rich?

IMITATING. joking with a friend and teasing a scammer ... and i got five black marks with six days mute.

 

 

 

I'm not angry about the mute punishment. I'm furious however, that they denied my appeal within two minutes, and gave me an earlier trade restriction. I have 300m+ locked in my account now ... I'm buying santas ... but they are going for 19. 5 to 20.5 when the "market price" jagex assumes santas to be are 21.5+

 

 

 

i'm buying two santas. so that means paying four million more. i'm being punished for something i did not do? Password scamming? My foot ...

If what you have posted is correct and not changed in any way (not accusing, but lets face it many people have done it before) then I personally don't think there are any grounds for punishment there..... is it possible that a 3rd party there questioned the other guys ability to trim armour, followed by you saying "sure, hand 'em over"?

A few months ago, I was following a trust game scammer. I noticed a silent playermod following, too.

 

 

 

When the scammer said "do you know how to play the trust game", I said "Aha!" and reported him. I said that 99.9% of all trust games are scams; the playermod disagreed and said that 100% of all trust games are scams. I told him that there are always exceptions. At that point, a player told me to shut up I told him that if didn't like what I said, he should just add me to Ignore, because that's what it's for. He tells me to shut up again, and I tell him to add me to Ignore again. This is when the playermod tells me to shut up unless if I want to join the scammer (in getting muted).

 

 

 

Whatever. Like I care. I stay there for a while and go back to trying to sell my spare rune items.

What happened then was n00blet PMed me and said he was a JaGeX Admin and that if I didn't give him my "Sword of Power (Silverlight) and my 100k he'd permanent ban me. (He must've heard me say "Time 2 get 100k"). I responded with, "Lol, u r not a jagex mod, all mods have a name like mod mark." He then began spamming me with, "I AM A MOD & ILL BAN U!!1111 ZEZIMA IS MY BRO AND HE'LL BAN ALL UR ACCOUNTS!111 ANDREW IS MY UNCLE!!111 HE'LL BAN UR COMPUTER!111" So, I was so fed up I PMed with this message, "Sie sind ein wenig Neuling und Ihr sind keine JaGeX Moderator. Ich habe bereits berichtet, dass Sie sich fÃÆÃâÃâür Artikel 5 brechen. Also, viel SpaÃÆÃâÃâ¦Ã¸ verboten werden. :)"

 

Which translated into English is "You are a little newbie and your are not a JaGeX moderator. I already reported you for breaking Rule 5. So, have fun being banned. :)" And he [bleep]ing reported me for cursing!!!111 I was muted for 3 whole days!!11

well...i posted this on the rants forum and it got locked in a minute because the rants forum is "rants about in game features only" and because "no one here can do anything about it anyway". well here is what i posted, copy and pasted:

I am ranting about the appeal system. My previous account (k nex2) was banned because apparently I real world traded, I didnt. 10 black marks, permanently banned. If that isnt bad enough, I try to appeal it, and I get auto denied in two seconds. A day later I try my last chance appeal, denied, because of my attitude in-game and because I broke rules time and time again. First of all, real world trading doesnt have anything to do with your attitude in-game; second of all they only said I broke one rule. So both those statements had nothing to do with what I did or what I said in my appeal. This really disappoints me, not just that they dont read regular appeals, but something as important as a last chance appeal is read by a computer. I had that account for 2 years, I had about 20m in my bank and almost 1400 total. Gone because they THOUGHT I broke a rule. And the evidence was we have evidence you supplied gold to a gold selling site. We have evidence you did this for benefit in the real world. Well gee, thanks for showing me the evidence. That really cleared things up.

 

 

 

So jagex, Im not asking you read every single message sent in by players, but at least glance at the last chance appeals.

Saying tip.it is a reportable offense... but to be honest with you I doubt they would take any action against your account other than noting down that it's a rule that you had broke in the past....

 

 

 

I personally don't report people for saying Youtube, or google... although i fully agree that it should not be allowed.... you would be amazed at how little the community know about web security, and will follow any old site name.... And especsially Youtube, tipi.it, HQ, google.... etc are some well known sites in the community (the game) that do pose a risk.

 

 

 

Sorry.... but tip.it aint all that safe in the grand scheme of things.

ok i dont know if this is true. but i have heard about something called "last chance" that jagex does to people with perm mutes /bans where u appeal to them and if u have had like 2-3 months of amazing behavior that they will give u a chance to be unmuted. a p mod was the one who imformed me but i still have not been able to find anything

 

 

 

If you are permanently banned, then you have the option to appeal the offences. If all of your appeals have been used and you still have 10 or more black marks, then you get the option to use a "last chance appeal". This is one final appeal that you can use, and if it is accepted then you will be given a "last chance". You will be unbanned but still have all the blackmarks. This appeal is not given for some offences (Macroing, I think..). Also, the blackmarks will not be removed, and after using a last chance appeal then you will NOT be given another, even for future offences.
