The day when RSC became RS2....

 

 

 

I got lost cause i didnt kno where i was stupid graphics

not knowing i could turn my screen, i had a rly hard time learning to cook blindly, since if you look from the south, the oven thing stand behind a wall

oh boy, I remember my 1st day of rsc, friend gave some iron stuff to train on cows with, a few months later I was killing gaurds and it started raining crackers, didnt care, I was focused on exp. my mate popped a couple crackers on me, i remembered trading my yellow phat for 40gp and a blue. I remember when the mining guild never had more than 2 players. I remember wasting a day trying to talk to a camel

Back in 2001, it was soo empty. I was new, in RS2, I was in Lumbridge trained random skills and always carried the items I got from the Tutorial Island. Kept going west then I met Hobgoblins, died very quickly, so sad, so I started a new character, just added an extra 0. Only if I could change my name to Jaques.

i was walking around and saw some dude killing goblins then it dropped a bronze sq and he left it on the ground and i got it o.O then some dude walked in and killed some dude

I remember training on goblins, not knowing how to train str and def properly, I had like 10attack, 3 str and 2 def.

had no idea how to train them... all the way with a bronze dagger.

 

 

 

I eventaully figured that i would gain def if i fought with no armor on

 

 

 

didnt work, and i thought if i fought with no weapon i would get strength.. nope

first rs memories.

i thought we were only doing RS2 memories

 

 

 

but: My first one was....

 

 

 

I was soooooo annoyed when i created my character - cause i didn't know how to change his looks - i had to go with the default setting o.O

 

 

 

Head: Brown, Short

 

 

 

Torso: White T-Shirt

 

 

 

Legs: Blue Pants

 

 

 

Feet: Brown "boots"

 

 

 

Choice of Character: Adventurer (you got a choice if u wanted to be a miner, warrior, adventurer, etc - and u got stats bonuses for what u chose =) )

 

 

 

an adventurer was just a mix..

 

 

 

Then when i was around level 10 or 15 - it rained:

 

 

 

"HAPPY CHRISTMAS" and then..... Crackers came!!!!! but i had no idea what to do - so i just kept wandering the world to find karamaja. Then Halloween came - i missed it :'( but then.... Christmas = santa hat [X]

i remember when you didnt have your cb lvl next to your name... me and a couple friends ( including you necro) would take off everything and go say "we are new, can we have free stuff"... lol it was funny... but today i hate beggers...

When i first entered Runescape, in RS2 my friend told me to cut trees because its really good money, he had been playing only a few days himself.

 

 

 

I was instantly hooked, i was really excited when i got to 30 woodcutting, then after a while i got to 60, went to the yews but it was going slow so i went back to willows and cut to 65, from there i gained my first million GP and became a member shortly after. I finished with that account 51 combat and 79 woodcutting :D

I remember when "Cook 'x'" option came out. It made cooking so much easier!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, I remember an old friend who's rsn was Worshipme666 (he doesn't play anymore). Pretty much every time I saw him. I did the bow emote (aka worshiping him). He was a cool guy... but then he had some real life troubles and quit :( I miss him...

I can't pretend I'm an oldtimer, or anything, but I've been playing about a year. My dad played at that time, and he begged me to help him mine essence by standing at the dead tree in varrock and running the essence to the bank. I got killed by a mugger once or twice there. To this day if I see a mugger, I kill it just because I can :P

I remember when me and my friend weren't able to play RS when we wanted to because of expensive internet bills. We used to go outside and imagine we were in runescape. Eating apples gave 1exp in 'eating skill', which we marked on paper and counted carefully how many more apples and sandwiches we were going have to eat before dinner so that we'd have a high enough skill level for pasta.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We were also tossing each other around for combat exp and beating trees with sticks for woodcutting. We didn't have matches for firemaking though, luckily.

Same thing happened to me, i died and had no idea what i was going to do without my tinderbox and started again :shock:

When the RS2 Beta went to free players(before I became a member) I was at a drop party and picked up a Red Partyhat.

I remember raising my magic level to about 50 killing the Dark Wizards in their circle, and bring scared of Delrith while fighting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Running into the wilderness in full bronze trying to make a "PK pure" and ending up dying everytime I try to pk.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I also remember on my first day getting members killing a guard, then getting a clue scroll. I finished it, only to get Rangers and sell them in Varrock bank for 10k, which was the most money I'd ever seen in my life! And this was back when they were worth 500k or so.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I also remember shortly after finding out about hallies getting a rune one, and killing about 50 black demons from the safe spot next to the baby blue dragons, and taking hours over there, and having the rangers get angry with me because I was taking too long. I got a dragon med from one of them, and traded it for a ring of wealth :P

On my first rs day, I bought shears in the general store for like 1-2 gp, 2 minutes later someone bought it from me for 28 gp, I was very happy with the 25 gp profit :')

me and my friend camped out in the wilderness we had a fire and everything lol for about 2 hours we just told each others storys and jokes

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

then the pain told me he was geting hid computer reposesed for not paying bills :evil:

I have so many. Once when I was like level 20 I found a guy drop trading rune items, and I got the rune med and long and I thought I was sooo rich but then he said he was gonna report me. And I fell for it :( .... I was 8 or 9 :P how would I know.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Training on hill gaints for days. It was all I used to do. Kill gaints make wines repeat. Meeting alot of friendly people down there. Not like the Rs2 f2pers now :evil:.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Going to drop partys when they were accutally good. Getting rune long, then trying to sell it and somehow this chick stole it from the trade screen. Then we got everyone to report here and chased her in the wildy and this nice guy that was level 70 killed her and got the rune long and gave it back to me :D

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Looking for a fishing rod. Finally saw someone selling one for 100gp so I went to go make 100gp thinking he'll be there the next day :uhh:. But finally someone brought me to Port Sariam and I bought a fishing rod and then got lost. Ended up walking to the hobgoblins near crafting guild and almost died. .... Then finding out I need a net first -.-

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The day after I got hacked I was about to quit then I followed this guy to a drop party and got a rune kite. Sold it then got on my feet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fishing lobbies was another fun thing. Just talking with everyone was awesome... then training on lessers. Then couple months later beta came out. Did the same thing in beta. Got hacked and quit came back year later.

I was training at the ice giants, and a level 100+ started up a conversation with me. I was so amazed that I took a picture of him wishing me luck to prove it to Oreo. :lol: (Nice stats, huh?)
