When I was a noob, I used to mine tin and copper (that's what it was to make bronze bars i think), then walk out the dwarven mines (through the exit/entrance near the monastery :lol: ), walk to the furnace of falador and smelt my ores, walked back in the mines the same way I did as I exited, went to the anvils there, made some bronze items sold it to the general store and repeat. :wink: I thought I was making a fair bit of money. : Then I found out I could mine iron, so I mined the iron in the dwarven mines, and sold them to the general store inside there (If i remember correctly I sold them for 6gp a piece). There were so many funny memories from when I (and other people) were little noobs just entering a new place :thumbsup: Funny to look back now. :

Tutorial island on my first account back in RSC. I was stuck on the first NPC for a while, and could not figure out how to talk (took me a minute or so to figure out I couldn't).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next memory was when I went to Hobgoblins. Someone had left a limpwurt root on the ground and I daringly went in and tried to get it. I did get it, but I also died in the process.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And the last early memory was when I found someone dropping their gold unstrung amulets on the ground. I got around 5 and sold them all to the general store. Got me quite a bit of gold. I spent it on a mithril scimitar that I couldn't use yet XD (I was in Al Kharid).

my first memory would be dying after walking past the stonehedge wizards and tried to grab some gp that i saw on the ground. i lost my beloved tinderbox, and never found out how to buy another one ( :wall: ) until one of my friends showed me that there were general stores that sold tinderboxes for 1 gp each.

Yes amazing...2 gp per hide was all the money in the world... And then! guess what i found a 20 gp buyer! Yeah!...The i fell for a password scam...

Getting slaughtered by the Dark Wizards outside Varrock.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Going to Draynor and asking for help on the Knights Sword Quest, and actually found 2 guys who went and showed me safe spots to mine and helped me stay clear of the ice warriors. 1 doesnt log on much anymore, but the other one is my longest standing friend on RS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Getting a Anti Dragon Fire Shield from a guy when I had first started really playing. I actually got like 3 from him, and somebody bought one from me for 10k, which nearly made me wet myself (I was like lvl 30 with no cash).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Travelling around RS, from Lumbridge, to Varrock, to Falador. All the times just spent walking were nice. I remember when I was playing it was so much fun and great, it still is today but it feels like its lost a key ingredient to it that wont be found again.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Although when they released the original RS theme on the ingame music player I listened and it brought back all the memories and even the lost ingredient where I just had fun. Now a days its more of a race to train and make money.

Starting the game, I got an Iron platebody from a nice lvl 50 as I started the game. Still have him added :).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I remember being like lvl 20 and killing Dark Wiz's at Varrock a lot for runes. I was maging them one day (even as I began I always preferred Magic over the other skills) and messed up and got killed. I had like 2000 Waters and 3000 Earths along with some bodies and other miscellaneous runes on me for cursing, and I got owned, wasted, sent to Lumby. Probably the most devastaning thing to happen to me in my first few months; that was a lot of cash for me at the time :? .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I remember seeing a Mystic hat on someone, thinking it was frikking awesome, begging the player who was wearing it for it, and eventually pwning him in a trade by handing over 75 nats and 100 laws :oops: .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I remember feeling ecstatic with every step up from Iron armor to Adamant.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I remember spending all my money on a Mithril Scimitar at Al Kharid when I had Iron armor, so I pwned n00bs with that thing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I remember my Magic level being 3 times my Attack, Strength, and Defense levels combined :shock: . Didn't even know what a pure was then either.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I remember actually liking walking from Varrock to Falador.

Ahh so many memories. My first memories were:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

While being on tutorial island I remember running out of the rat pit because I was almost . I didnt know that you couldn't die there. Then I remembered that I could eat the 5 pieces of shrimp that I had. Once I got off, I waited in lumbridge for my friend to come find me. He gave me full iron and 500gp!! :shock: :shock: I had started the restless ghost quest by then and told him to take me to the lumbridge swamps. He didnt take me there but took me to varrock because I needed to fill something up with water. (maybe to make dough for cook's assistant?) I remember being scared of every goblin that walked past.

 

 

 

Then one time when I was in lumbridge, a guy said that if we would follow him, he would give us 3k! Me and a couple other people followed him when we got to lvl 20 or so wildy he attacked and killed me and one other person. I had no idea why I kept my iron plate, legs, and kite.

 

 

 

I died a couple other times on that account so I though that I should start another account. I decided to work on mining and smithing as my friend was getting rich(2-3k) from it. I worked my way up from the bottom, the noob way. Mining a full load from varrock east mine, walking to lumbridge and smelting, and walking back to varrock to smith it and sell it to the general store. Then one time I was running past the dark wizards near there and lost the 400gp that I had made! I was so mad! :evil:

 

 

 

Another thing, until I was lvl 28 strength, I had no idea what it did. I thought that you could hit higher as your combat level went up. That reminds me, I didnt know how to look at my own combat level so I would walk around trying to find someone with a yellow combat level.

Earliest was the first time I played in Feb '01. It was during school. I remember training on goblins right next to the general store. I also remember seeing the low level black knight in the forest by Lumbridge and thinking "wow, thats a tough monster." Good times.

Heres my memories, well i started playing rs because my friend (allstarz10) said he found it on miniclip and said it was pretty good, i made my account and played for an hour at my house and i didnt like it because i lagged ( i had dial up at the time). Then my friend that i go to school with (dark_shad0w4) told me to play the same game, and at the time i had just gotten dsl so it was a lot easier to play.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Allstarz taught me how to mine clay and make bowls for crafting levels, he made me a defence ammy and i thought it was soo leet. A guy asked me to walk him to faladore for 15k and i was like omg 15k, he gave it to me and i immediatly bought full black, my friend darkshadow would always want to test me in the wild so we would always fight, we would always run out of wild we never killed each other, since we werent members.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then allstarz and i wanted to train combat a lot and darkshadow had just quit, so we both trained to like 50 combat, and we did dragon slayer at the same time. the day i did dragon slayer i became a member.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Things i remember was making the money for a mith longsword, i always used longswords untill i decided that rune scimmy was better than rune longsword. my first members quest was witches house (as wierd as that seems) i remember like 3 days after i got my full black i died mining ess because i thought i could beat the rock golem (WRONG!!!) i continued to do quests and monkey madness was the last quest i did untill i had done every quest up to date, and ever since i have done every new quest the day they came out

i killed a goblin, then got goblin mail. I couldn't wear it. I asked my friend who played rs and he said its a bug. In my early days, it took me about 2-3 weeks to egt out of lumbridge. My friend told me that tehre is "The black place" (today we call it Wilderness) , and that people can kill each other there. And taht i should trust no one and don't believe in free stuff givers, don't follow anyone except true and trusty friends. Those were teh days... Ahhh... steel bars beeing 300 each at MAX... we were shocked when they got 300eaach at first.....my friend owned a golden ring and a gold bar. He was liek the leader of teh gang. He was level 18....There were 4 of us, now only i and my old trusty friend play runescape...

 

 

 

I miss teh old days... I remmber how happy i was when i met a friend when i was on my first journey... I didn't knew how to split private chat so i readed liek 1/3 of themessages i got..the best thing of all was that we didn't knew the map... eveything was soo unexplored....it was liek a huge world....and now....ah....i miss the old days....i wish tehy could be back...

I remember finally getting off tutorial island(Only took 3 hours :wall: )

 

 

 

And while in lumbridge a really high lvl(at the time for me) came up and traded me.

 

 

 

I accepted and he put up 1k and full iron.

 

 

 

He showed me round most of the map and told me where the more dangerous places where.

 

 

 

He was a great friend although he quit recently.

 

 

 

Shame that 2 days later i fell for the armour trimming scam and lost that iron :wall: :wall:

 

 

 

Runescae just seemed more fun back then as i wasnt so determined on getting levels and me and my mate would kill scorpians together.

I started a few days after RS2 started so I have no memories of classic. But I do remember when I didn't even know how to get to Varrock from the cows in Lumby. I was like level 6 and kept seeing level 50-60's and thought "Wow, I'm never gonna be that good, I wish I was as good as them". I remember when I thought I was cool with my mith scimmy that my friend gave me. Then he finished D Slayer and had full rune and I was sooo jealous. How things have changed....

Oh. That was ages ago. Well, it all started by making well over 15 accounts. I never could work out what to do after I've made an account. God. That was a pain. Choosing nicks..Always tryed to use the same - till I understood that I couldn't make more than 1 acc with 1 nick.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thinking that all lvls would get me cmb up and that cmb depends on total lvl. Whenever I lvled something up, I asked everyone my combat..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then again 1 guy teached me to mine and smith. It worked like this:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mine in Varrock east 5 tin and 5 copper. Go to the AlKharid(First time I was there - never knew there is a free way). Smelt. Go back to the Varrock. In Varrock east's smithery - smith few items..Sell to shop..And start over again.

 

 

 

Never explored West side of Varrock lol.
