With the update of the new skeletons and zombies. It got me to thinking that this could be a good way of seeing what possible things we could expect for when they update the player body.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For example, when killing a skeleton it has a similiar death animation to players, but it seems to be better and when they hit the ground it kind of looks as if they disintegrate into the ground.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, the attack style of the skeleton mages could be something to get used to if they add that to the player magic attacks. They have a more realistic casting animation and it seems to be smoother. This could also be added to the melee attacking animations.

possibly, i would enjoy having a noise, mouth and a pair of eyes for a change...i wouldn't expect anything too soon, but hey, maybe before the year closes :thumbsup:

I would most definitely love having eyes, and possibly a mouth.

I was thinking that Jegex might make a player model update, but then I realized how big it would be. I mean, updated the model of every player worn item? That's a lot of items!

Yeah, I know the immensity of the update. But who's to say they haven't been working on it for months :?: A face might be good, and I would like to see more customization in characters. :P

I wouldn't mind having our characters look less blocky, and actually have eyes and a nose and ears and mouth. And not just balls for hands but actual hands and fingers! And shoes/socks that look like them, and better looking feet too!

I think this update is coming but won't be for a while yet. The size of the update would be huge, because they would have to update all the old npc characters models, update all player character models, update hair styles, skin colours, add more detailed features. It isn't like updating a few monster models. There are hundreds of different characters within the game that need updating.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fingers crossed this update will come sometime this year (proably near the end).

This kind of player animations/model update is what I am most looking forward to in the future. Generally, I don't think they'll update the looks of the our characters (think about the work needed to do new clothes and armour), but just the animations for our characters, like better combat animations. We already have new realistic animations for fishing or even when we stand still holding a mud pie or a chinchompa our character moves more smoother than when we normally stand still without.

I would like to see better animations for actions such as magic and fighting, also I think my character deserves a face after all his hard work. :lol:

Personally, I'd like to see some new hair cuts. It's the much more obvious difference between characters, and right now we have a rather limited selection. An update on some of the animations would be good as well.

maybe in the course of the player update we will see a whole humanoid update, of every person (npc,player) that is a human will get an update too

A player update would be nice, but I want chinchompa's to twitch and tremble in fear when you wield them :twisted: .

 

 

 

Apart from that, better dieing emotion and a nicer hitting emotion, maybe a drinking emote instead of it looking like you just ate a whole jug of wine and retreaving it from your stomach to make it appear in your inventory.

Wouldn't we all, I think maybe they kept food in them huge bellys in the amour.

The faces really don't matter to me. I would like more realistic and smooth movement, such as bending knees while running, and some better battle animations. I am not too keen on player updates, as my player is fine how it is, but I would like some more food items, and other things along the lines of cooking. If there was to be something more to add player related, I suppose it would be more accessories to wear, mostly along the lines of scarfs. :roll:
