About time mages and rangers have specs?

I don't know how many specs meleers have (probably 10+) but i am sure Range only has the longbow specs, short bow specs and rune throwing axe specs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

mage suffers most because they have nothing whatsoever.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So isn't it about time jagex released some updates with special attack option for mages and rangers?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If jagex does not want to update special attacks for these two classes, why do you think may be the reason?

well what we need to take into consideration is if mages and rangers really need more specials.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

melers have more specials because of more weapons such as daggers, scimitars, longswords, halberds, maces, battle axes, and the list goes on. rangers, on the other hand, have bows and 1 handed throwing items. not much to work with, nor would they need a special in most cases. a good ranger can do well without a special. and mages have very unique qualities. they are able to freeze, transfer hp, poison, and do other bodily harm just from their mage book. they can reduce defense, attack, and strength from their opponent. they can even increase the ammount of damage a certain spell does for a limited of time (charge a god spell) which sounds like a special to me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i dont know, in all it seems that its pretty even in my eyes. maybe rangers need 1 or 2 mroe specials, but they can live with out it. i dont think we need more specials. maybe fix the current ones they already have?

Rangers have only 2 specs? are you forgetting by far the most commonly used one, the magic short bow spec? and what about the seercull bow? Like the person before said, rangers all that much to work with. I think they're fine with the short bow and seercull, although it wouldnt hurt to have atleast one more.

Rangers have only 2 specs? are you forgetting by far the most commonly used one, the magic short bow spec? and what about the seercull bow? Mage is already ownage,with specs it'll become invincible than no1 will train other skills...or mayb Jagex can make spells which is better than wave in regular spell book but can be only casted 5~10 times every several minutes and need really a lot of runes(i.e.20 fire 20 water 20 earth 20 air 10 blood 30 death 40 chaos 60 mind)

 

 

 

Rangers don't need anything special just ACCURATE and thats it..with shortbow special attack its already enough I think,and also crossbow enchanted bolts have special effects that is as good as barrow set effects.

 

 

 

Meleers are over-powered in my opinion...ddp++ specs should be as inaccurate as d mace then pkers won't hit double 30s often even if they got 99 att prayed and potted

Rangers are the most underpowered, and me being a ranger i just want jagex to do two things.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(A)Either make rune arrows stronger or make dragon arrows

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(B)LOWER THE FLIPPIN' MSB SPEC TO 50%!!!!

I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. If they were meant to fly, they won't break their necks on the concrete.
So, what is 1.111... equal to?

being a lvl 99 ranger and have been for time i really don't care about specs anymore... I can beat my brother in fight (range v melee) who has maxed melees so i am content... This argument is getting old actually

Rangers do have special attacks--in a way. They can poison most throwing weapons and arrows, so that is a special attack kind of. They also can enchant all kinds of bolts with very useful abilities. To me it is just a matter of making crossbows attack faster.

the thing with arena spells, they are so flipping slow, and here is a senario (sp) ok, i was fighting an initiate (sp) pure and me haven 87 mage with claws of guthix charged and tb i thought i could take him easy, but i forgot, melee's beat everything D'OH what was i thinking?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i started by casting tb, then i proceeded to start casting claws of guthix on him (i have already used charge about 30 sec before) the first hit was a 28 and i was very happy and i keep on casting, guess what happened? yes your right, with that DUMB AS * 15% mage pray i splash on him for the next 3 casts. by that time there was no eating out of it and i got ko'd

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

my question few questions are:

 

 

 

Why can 1 def rangers wear everything in their armor set except the chest?

 

 

 

if we use logic, following the "triangle" (LOL what was that?) :XD: if mages are supposed to beat melee's shouldn't their armor (robes) give Atleast stats close to rune? i mean, logicly?

 

 

 

ranger = high mage def. melee = high range def. mage's = high melee def?

 

 

 

DONT GIVE ME THAT oh ahrims has good melee def dood.

 

 

 

it has stats compairible to addy. and costs what? 1.7m?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I WANT AN ARMOR SET FOR MAGES THAT = RUNE in stats (not range def)

 

 

 

AND ONLY COSTS 200-500k a set?

i don't play psykick anymore... i play 2ed: "pure fett"

They should just make spells that hold people still for 20 seconds, and hit 30s! or Spells that poison, or heal yourself..

yeah and with the dragonfire bolts the special hits like 1 time out of 30? and they are so slow you might as well try to kill them without counting on the spec cause chances are you wont see it in this fight or the next 3 anyway. Not to mention that they are kinda on the expencive side.

yeah ok, i see your point, its not like no one ever takes full black and a msb out so most of your spells fail and they can still shoot you and when your ice wears off, they just run up and dds you. but yeah i can see you never needing any armor. #-o -.-

Melee is fine.

 

 

 

Mage should have armour with high melee defence, but weak against range.

 

 

 

Range should, um, have msb special with 50% drain.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

check the def of ahrim... :wall:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and many mage pkers use a dds for melee asd well... or a excalibar (yes i dont write junk, its true) for pumping up there def... or a b axe to pump there str for whip finish off...

I meant more like, 150+ each defence stat. except mage and range of course..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

compare ahrims defence stats to karils. theyre not that far off each other.
