I don't hate the spells, I love em. and I don't hate the quest, just saying its rediculously overrated and easy

Here's the thing. All of the people I see posting are 109, 112, 102, etc..

The point is, your near the high end of the stick. Would someone with say, my stats be able to do it as "easy" as you guys say?

I found it relatively easily with these stats. Never did dt on my main either.

Kamil and Fareed were the easiest bosses to me. I found the vampire grave guy hard, and died like 4 times in damis' lair (didn't know about the safespot-dds-thing)

I did it with about 82 combat, it's a mage quest really but the use of prayer makes it too easy IMO. This is why I love recipe for disasters, I acctually had to think about how to monsters effectively.

This is a hilarious thread, most entertained by the different responses.

I think that DT is hard. I died on Kamil (but that was due to incompetence rather than him being tough), but managed the others without too much problem.

For all those who keep saying that they dont know why the pyramid was hard, it took me about 20 trips through there before i got to the end. I tried running (with energy pots) or walking, but whatever I did made no difference. I was about 67 agility at the time too. You guys have no idea how lucky you are.

I also would be intersted to know how many people actually completed this quest with no help from anyone (guides or friends). Most quests in RS are easy with a guide. Figuring them out on your own is not so trivial. Turning up to fight kamil not knowing his prayer drain would make most people struggle against him until they knew better.

Also, a lot of the people that did this quest when it was first released could safespot kamil or block against some of the dudes by getting a friend to stand in the way. This made it a lot easier to kill them. This is a hard quest, i have to disagree with anyone who says otherwise.

No quest is hard if you finish it.

They might be easy AFTER you have finished them.

Compared to all other quests in RuneScape the Desert Treasure ranks among one of the hardest.

As for overrating this particular quest's hardness there is not much that I can say about it.

At least it is the only quest that redbarred me...

The quest was EXTREMELY easy. I had no deaths at 82 combat.

Hardest quest by far: Haunted Mines............I died 8 times there losing a white beret each time when they used to be 110k each

i agree on the first but not second, haunted mines was a nub quest the only reason it was hard for me is because i forgot to put a glowing mushroom thing into the cart, other then that it was super easy

DT I found to be a easy quest, I enjoyed doing DT but I also had a

good friend helping me out at the time. :)

Horror From The Deep quest well lets not even go there I died 3 times

doing that dang quest. :XD: BTW: I was level 75 at the time. <.<

I am currently lvl 91. I am 1 level away and I thought 2 quests, and after that I will start on DT. I do not expect it to be that hard. I'll have someone help me out on the hardest bosses. But I think with my defense, I could stand a chance, without dieing.

And for Horror from the deep. I knew how to kick the boss monsters ars. So I used up my 52 prayer points + 2 monkfishes, before the boss hitted the floor. Though quest.. <.< Even the Troll King, I found pretty easy. The hardest thing I have come across, was the KBD which I succesfully soloed at lvl 88.

I find I am very good at quests if I don't have to keep switching prayers.

Like in the Horror of the Deep quest. Hmm... maybe that is why I don't have a fire cape yet.

To Trojan yea well.... I'm a noob and your not. ::'

Don't even mention that fire cape to me. :notalk:

I just did desert Treasure at 89 combat. I think its a little overrated. I only used around 35 prayer pot doses(30 on damis) and like 3 super restores for kamil. the hardest part is the pyramid as I fell around 20 times. I'm ice rushing at castlewars and it seems useless. Kamil, supposedly the hardest boss, got killed easy with fire bolt. I only prayed melee and barely got hit hard with the ice spell. I think its overrated. Not really the spells, but the actual quest. Its nowhere near as hard as people say it is.

and this is just my opinion

who ever said it is this hard ?

I did it within 2 or 3 months after with was released, just after I got membership. I only used items I made myself and I was cb lvl 68, this means I used prayer pots I made, regular restore pots and lobbies and swordies I fished. The few bought Items were death runes from the varrock shop, yeah I just maged all of the bosses...

So it isn't that hard, and I'm not even the lowest lvl who did it, people have been doing DT as low as lvl 40 and below.

And you are actually combat 89 so the post you made here just sounds like drawing attention to me :/

Ice guy - ridiculously easy. Now, I think it was shadow, the one that drained your prayer, I was constantly drinking prayer pots, so I let my cannon do the work. Was a tad hard, but I think the pyramid was hardest. I hate you floor traps <.<

I actually did DT at 73 cb and 70 amge, and only died once on kamil due to a lagg evil chicken random combo, but somehow, when i went back, i seemed to have killed him :P

But i agree, every1 is like, o im gonna go do desert treasure, and then when you beat it, its like, o thats wasn't that hard. Especially if you have help doing it. I helped my freinds pure do DT, and he beat all 4 bosses in like 1 1/2 hours, and used maybe, im guessing, 30 sharks, and he easily beat kamil w/o a cannon or prayer.

All you people that say DT was easy or overrated, I wonder how many used a guide? Try doing a quest like dt without a guide then tell me how easy it is, if it was still easy, kudos to you. Guides take away any element of surprise a quest might contain therefor making the quest a lot easier. If you know what to bring to defeat a monster of course it will be easy, if you already know it's weaknesses... Anyways, I'm curious how many people did this without a guide and still thought it was an easy quest. I used a guide and still thought it was a difficult quest. Think i was high 70's low 80's though.
