I think it's overrated, sure, but It's still like the second hardest quest in the game; aside from MEPII (OMG THAT QUEST WAS ANNOYING!!!). It's like the only quest I've ever died on (though I lost little).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And ancients are definatly not overrated. IMO they're really overpowered. Ice rush is nothing. But burst; that can wreak havoc. And barrage is like the spell of death. 20 seconds + up to 30 damage? That's a charged god spell, and a more powerful entangle all in one, plus it's multi-target.

ok ok I change my opinion. It must have just been the rush spells and the super high level castlewar game i was in. I switched to normal and will stay that way until i get 70 mage.

Ugh! No way it's hard! As you said, hardest part is Pyramid. I didn't even use 5 ppots in all the quest (with 43 prayer, 70ish mage, 1 def, 55~ hp). Cmb was 50, would have been 49 if wouldnt have lvled hp. Did it less than month ago. Its easy,! Damis- just use a friend between you and him..Blood- run around fence..Ice - piece of cake, it has only like 100hp - use fire bolt.. And smoke - melee pray and use water spells (any). What's hard - I'll never understand:S

I did Dt and 69 combat, and I only had trouble on Dessous, everyone else was simple

yeah. kamil was simple with fire bolt even. I was hit up to 5 with mage and whenever i needed mage raised, my prayer was just right to take a sip of super restore. Very easy, I don't know why I was so worried

I don't think it's a hard quest throughout, damis was really annoying

I did it at 75 and even though I'm terrible at combat I didn't find it too hard. Damis was really easy, I ran around in circles in the main room casting spells at him.

The only really annoying part for me was that darn chest and lockpicks, I used over 200 and nearly went insane lol.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But it gave me a lot of anger to take out on the bosses :thumbsup:

I did it at 66 combat about 1-2 weeks ago. I have 43 prayer so this made it easier. Didnt die once, had to tele out of Damis the first time i went to him, the prayer draining took me by suprise, but i went back next and killed him.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Damis was the only hard part about the quest, the canfis monster was annoying due to the amount you had to walk plus the attacking ghasts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What makes me laugh is i see people using loads of prayer pots on Damis. Once i got to his second form, i ran down the narrow path from where you enter. Theres like 2 rats down there, stand behind a rat and mage him without getting hit from him. So i ending up killing his second form without using 1 single dose of prayer potion :wink:

I found the quest extremely easy, this was mainly because I was a level 112 with 99 range when I did it. The ice trail I never fell once, took just 3 tries to open that chest everyone hates and I got through the pyramid in no time at all. Now I have my beloved anceints and get to crush people at cwars and in the wild.

The point is if you think its easy before you start it

If you want bosses that are at least a bit harder, try recipe for disaster.

Lol @ everybody that used sharks for dt. Beat that quest with 45 def 80 something combat with no better food than salmon (left over from f2p fishing) and 10 pray pots. :thumbsup: Owned.

I killed all of them easily.

 

 

 

Did not fall once in the pyramid. Like seriously I don't even get what people are talking about when they say they keep falling in the pyramid.

The quest was annoying, but certainly not hard. I had almost no problem with the monsters that had to be beaten. They were just... annoying.

It's hard when you do it without a guide :roll: (not saying that everyone here used one, but I'm sure most people waited for a guide before they did this quest). I did it within a day of its release, no help from anybody. Back when there were safespots for Damis :thumbsup:

It was hard when I did it since I died at Damis lol. It's not hard when you're 85+

The hardest boss on DT varrys from person to person. The spell list is what everybody wants. DT used to be harder but now they have all these new things to make it easier.
