keithkannon
I've always wondered this, so I asked my friend who makes loads of these. His answer was that the stats looked more impressive on a level three (or a level 6 in his case, he got 10 defence so he could wear black (g))
pamzheng
Well, I asked myself the question, and figured the pures most like, 'harvest' money, while the main can do other things, or perhaps the main 'harvest' money aswell, but use this method to make the process twice as fast, and in the end the main get all the cash. SwreeTak
It looks much cooler for a level 3 to have lvl 99 firemaking then for a level 124 to have level 99 firemaking...Or that's what I think. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
keithkannon
Well, thats what my friend said. I disagree. Its the same ammount of work, level 3 or level 126. But I guess I'm in the minority here.
Japlin Chev
I agree with all of the above, but also, it can be much harder for level 3's to train because of combat restrictions etc... But skill pures are becoming nearly as common as pures Chevroi - Formerly Japlin69My Old Blog
sp2119
ive been wondering this too... but just go to the catherby willows in a few world, there is now more skill pures than pures lol, but i guess it is the shock factor. hi

Dalcyte
err whats the point of training combat? If you have no interest in it, whats the point... :? Its also helpful for say rune mining for instance, its hard to be killed out there when ur lvl 3. Bauke
Personally, I couldn't care less about the wilderness, and my goal is to get 99 in every skill. I just like skilling. Not that I'm anywhere near of completing that goal... NJE03
I think it is pretty cool to see a good lv3 skill skiller. They play the game the way they want. Personally I wouldnt train skill on another account, but to each their own. spikerkid
Skill pure and pures are annoying. It would better to see alot more mains and less pures and skillers in members. Imo. But they pay for what they want to do, so if there having fun it's worth it. Quit RuneScape :)
WildxYak
A game like WoW is much more based on combat and you can fight virtually anywhere (similar to the wildy being almost anywhere) and the money earnt in game can only really be spent on combat things whereas with RS if they can go anywhere and not be killed and spend money on much much more. Skill pures train what they like the most, like pures train combat to own in the wildy cause they like that. And MasterSamus, the point of an MMORPG is to have fun and enjoy playing it, if you enjoy skilling then do that, combat then train that, both then that's generall what mains are for and I myself do. 99: Agility 28/12/14|Thieving 20/03/

None2None
As many have said, the first reason that I am a skiller is because it looks awesome to have high skills on a level 3 as opposed to on a higher level. Another reason is that it just adds that challenge to things, you have to go the hard way on many quests and the skills are harder to get, there is less marigin for error, an example: Thieving. For a higher level, they might have, lets say 60 hits, they dont have to worry about dying as often as you would in having 10 hits...having 10 hits anot not being able to kill people as easily just makes things more challenging, which makes the game more fun for some :) ~ Clicky for the blog of No Cb Skils ~

Lordjake
I really don't see why any non-combat stat looks more impressive on a lvl 3 than a 123. You get the same cooking/smithing/etc. exp as a lvl 3 combat as you would at 123 combat.

HatshepsutLecter
I made my skill pure right after I lost my membership on my main. I don't like playing with that account in free worlds so this gave me something to do in the game. And it is a lot of fun. 8-) You can add it if you want. The name is Cenobite Ace. Be warned that I am not spending a whole lot of time on it anymore though.
