ever though about trolls as a slow assigment, bummering 100+'s of trolls, now.. think again, after this new quest, there is a lot of trolls! ranged from level 74 to 100-110 (not shure)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and the best thing about all this, the whole area is multi-combat.. so if you want, you could take a cannon with you and bummer them down, probably beeng about the same xp rate as kalphites and dagannoth!!

I don't know, personally those trolls owned me pretty much.

you could easily cannon troll assignments on death plateau before.... dunno where you've been all this time.

Also you can't use cannons in the cave

im happy 4 this. at 120 combat trolls are still 1 of the slowest assignments i get and i cant even succesfully use my cannon on them! TIL NOW!

Yes it says the air in the cave is to dank for the cannon or somthing like that

Yeah, the only thing I do on RS except for going to DK is slayer, and if I get trolls (which I didn't get in like 10 slay lvls) I just melee them. I hate cannon, waste of money. ^^

Cannons blow. Trolls are an easy and fast task without a cannon.

agreed i think there easy i barely use any food on them and they give some good drops

Since then I found an awesome spot on the death plateau of Buthorpe for you to use a cannon. In the photo you see the cannon. It is actually kind of hard to set it up there, try a few time and you will get it down. Then you can load it up and let it rip. No trolls will be able to hit you so your cannon will act as though you are in a Multi Attack area unloading on all of the trolls in the area. If you position yourself where my character is you will be able to engage Rock and Stick who drop Granite Shields. The other red dot is a safe spot where you can go if a small troll seems to invade your area.

 

 

 

Using this spot which I found on accident makes trolls one of the better experience assignments for you if you have a cannon on your way to 85 Slayer or beyond if you want fast experience.

Cannons really arent lame, Quick slayer assignments and owning kalphite/dagannoth assignments! :P

Death plateau is just as fast... :-$

and btw, this new place rocks! especially since the drops are amazing.

Baa! cannons are lame :evil: :evil: but using a cannon there would be fairly good exp + drops

I can see it now. A utopia trainign spot: high lvls owning trolls, low lvls owning yaks. The yacks will keep attacking you, just like the bandits in al-kharid, a common high lvl training spot. Plus, throw in the easy woodcutting exp, the crafting exp, and the quest, AND the bank and you've got quite a city.

I think I'll pass on that cave and stick to the plateau. Either I had a pretty bad day, or those ice trolls are plain mean. They beat me up pretty good...

I know for one thing their drops are great.

 

 

 

Yesterday on world 99 lots of people were killing them for the quest.

 

 

 

Big bones everywhere. (no one picking up the drops). And more: lots of nats (4 per time), laws (5), and they drop addy larges, steel plates, and other alchable items VERY frequently + seeds and herbs

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

However, they hit quite high and frequent (multi combat!). Because of the other people questing there too, you could avoid hits. But if you are there alone...
