hmm not that i want it to happen but how long until you think jagex nurfs it because its almost as good as a whip but only costs 50k to reget seems like something they would nurf

The anchor looks like the new way to train str, due to it's huge hits and fast attack speed, but only time will tell. Scimitars give 66 str boost in comparison to the anchor's massive 80, which is only 2 under what whips are. With an attack speed only a little slower than scim, this thing is looking promising.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Of course, the minute it's proven that it's a lot better for str training, Jagex will undoutedly "fix" it... =\

the anchor is only slightly slower than the scimitar but it has superior strength bonus (80 compared to d scim 71 w/ rune def)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Considering what happened during the boss fight, i am inclined to believe that the special lowers the target's defence

yea, but not login music, that [cabbage]s annoying i couldnt turn that off til today, and now... well if i have a new world loading up in the background i hear that stuff coming thru and its like all of the RS music is not as awful as that music, that is the music that made jesus cry.

That makes no sense to me. The tindel merchant in Port Khazard repairs them just the same way as he does with rusty swords. I think Jagex simply missed adding the feature to fix the rusty scimitar in your workshop.

that book heals poison after quest too, i though so when i picked it up... but that means... i don't have to use anti-poisons anymore, kbd would get a little cheaper^^

Seem's neat. I need to catch up on my quests. I'm missing like the most recent 5 or 6 quests :x . I usually do them in bursts, I miss a few (unless one is really good) and then I do them all at once.

This update rocked, one of the most fun quests i've done in a long time, almost got smushed horribly by the boss at level 90 and potted up to the max.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The anchor is amazing, hits nicely looks cool (imo) and makes you run like a complete and utter nonce :lol:

D scimmy with a rune defender in the other hand gives you better def bonuses and nearly the same att bonuses with str lacking a bit, but the fastness covers it. The new weapon is only good if you know that your enemy has lower crush defence than slash defence (full runes :P).

 

 

 

The weapon is untradeable but I went to sell all my whips just incase.. What if it gets popular..? Whip is still superior to this, but because it is un-pkable some people might want to use it over a whip. Wonder if you can go pick it up when you die with it (like fire cape or fighter torso) or is it self-destructing like barrows gloves..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The antipotion- book might be good with poisons that don't come often, but it won't help me in my kalphite tasks, I'd need to be casting the prayer all the time! #-o Don't know if it drains your prayer points :?

The antipoison thing will really help me for getting 99 thieving. Since after each pyramid plunder run I use 1 dose of an antipoison. This will save me tons when going to 99 :D . Can the spell be casted in combat? how long does it take to do? does it take an animation or something so you have to be out of combat? how exactly does it work...

But the anchor gives me a +80 Strength bonus. 9 higher than D-Scimmy, Rune defender (+71). And it's fairly fast for a two-handed weapon.

Heh, they did a good job with this animation - it really looks as if you are hauling around a big ole heavy anchor.
