Certain persistent people have told me that I must update this blag, so here it is. A lot has happened since I last came here - over 400k extra experience has mysteriously tacked itself on to my RuneCrafting skill. I've obliterated my records of nats, it was far too annoying to try to keep that up, as well as the current state of my natures, since I no longer have many.

I'm now racing Mordendravid for 91, so hopefully that will help motivate me to pick up the pace! Over the past 3 days, I sold all my nats (I had run out of ess), and bought up 260k ess - when school isn't keeping me away, SaidinWoT will be one busy RCer :)

Well, 87 should be tomorrow (only 2 days late if I manage it...), so if I go quickly I can get my goal of 89 by the end of the month in! Only 3 days of real RCing and I already have 25k nats back... lots more to do!

Thanks deiophobus and Nihilist, I won't be giving up any time soon

Go Gizm0nub!

Mirror, I used to have 28, but I died :x

  • 2 weeks later...

Bumping this up from its home in page... 6?!? How'd it get there??

Once again, school is to blame for my absence :x But never fear! A well placed quest has brought me back into being! Since my last update of this here blog, I have made it to the 4 mil experience mark.. shooting for 4.1 mil tonight!

Since a thorough guide is already in existence in the PMG forum, this blog will make room to house TWO guides (Cold War is also hidden somewhere in here).

I have added a section to my main post for the pure purpose of stroking my ego - it shows all of my lovely quest guides on the forums (I certainly hope all of you can find the ones which are nicely posted on the main site!)

So, with all the ceremony of a catching-up post out of the way...

BUMP

Difficulty level: Medium

Start location: Speak to Olaf Hradson south of the entrance to the Fremennik Hunting Region (Fairy Ring D K S).

Required:

Quests: Fremennik Trials

Skills: Level 40 Firemaking, Level 50 Woodcutting

Items: Woodcutting axe, tinderbox, spade

Suggested:

Skills: High agility

Items: Agility potion

Monsters: Skeleton fremennik (Level 40), Skeleton fremennik (Level 50), Ulfric (Level 100)

NPC: Olaf Hradson, Ingrid Hradson, Volf Olafson

A Favour

Items Required: None

Items Suggested: None

Speak to Olaf Hradson south of the Fremennik hunting area. He asks you for a favour - helping him make his family proud through deceiving them. He needs you to take carvings to his wife and son, with the claim that he is on a distant island. However, his carvings are no good with damp wood; he'll need fresh wood from a windswept tree up on the cliff.

Delivery

Items Required: Woodcutting axe

Items Suggested: None

Head to the north part of the cliff east of Olaf. Cut some logs from it, then head back to Olaf. Speak to him and he will carve the wood into two crude carvings. The crude carving - which you should claim is 'something tribal' - is for his wife, Ingrid, while the cruder carving is for Volf, his son. His family is in Rellekka, so head southwest to the city. Take the carvings to each family member:

1. Ingrid Hradson is wandering around near the well east of the long hall. Give her Olaf's 'exotic' gift from the Island of Obscurity. Though she doubts the gift genuinely tribal, she rewards you with fresh baked bread.

2. Volf Olafson is walking about north of the long hall. Give him Olaf's carving (once again from the Island of Obscurity), and he will reward you with his lunch, a cooked shark.

Fire and Food

Items Required: Tinderbox

Items Suggested: None

Return to Olaf to tell him you have succeeded in delivering the gift. He will be too cold to care and needs a fire to warm up. He'll provide damp planks, so you simply need to light the driftwood embers to get the fire going. Speak to Olaf again; he will ask for some food before he is willing to give you the map. After he has eaten (the first food in your inventory), he will tell you he believes the map to be cursed. With that warning, he will give you the last map Sven the Helmsman ever made, showing the location of his treasure. Olaf wishes you luck, and hopes you will be willing to deliver more carvings in the future.

Well Guarded Treasure

Items Required: Spade

Items Suggested: Agility potion

Look at the map to find the treasure is right up the cliff. Ascend the cliff and dig right next to the windswept tree. You will fall into a dungeon. Head east, then all the way north, and finally west to the picture wall. Kill a Skeleton fremennik (Level 40) and pick up the key it drops. Search the wall to bring up a puzzle. In the top segment of levers, pull each lever one time, then pull the lever in the bottom segment. Search the picture wall again to go past it.

Head north and grab two rotten barrels and six ropes. If you did not kill a Skeleton fremennik earlier, kill one now for the key (now Level 50). Walk onto the bridge and go across - at any gap, use a rotten barrel on the walkway. The bridge is very slippery, and you might fall into the water at any time; you will end up slightly north of Olaf. Halfway across the bridge, you will find a gate which you should try to open. Note the shape of your key's handle, and use it on the lock of the same shape.

Go to the wreck of the old ship and open the chest. A giant skeleton named Ulfric (Level 100) will arise from the nearby grave and attack you. This is a very easy battle no matter what attack style you use. After defeating Ulfric, open the chest again. This time you succeed, and in it is your reward.

Reward:

1 Quest Point

Access to brine rat cave

20,000 gp

4 cut rubies

12,000 Defence Experience

That's... quite the thank-you list, Saidin. I'm honored to be listed amongst the glory that is those who have been thanked.

And be honest here: how much did Erk pay you for the sponsorship?

Why on earth would you want 28 sets of ghostly robes?
It's easy. Talk to guy, drop robe, talk to guy, repeat 28 times(full inventory), pick all 28 up. It's easier than running around the RS world every time you die.

Oh yeah, and good luck with rc'ing :P

Quit RS, combat 104, total 1651
