Guide To Ice Bursting By Zot Mutske

Explenation

As far as i know, this is the fastest Magic Xp that's currently available, unfortunatly it's also the most expensive form of training Magic. Doing this is about 160-195K Xp an hour.

Requirements

70 Magic, Desert Treasure Quest, Monkey Madness Quest and 43 Prayer (higher is a must, but you can do it with 43 Prayer)

Inventory Setup & Gear

burstdm0.png

You can obviously replace the Super Restores with Prayer Potions, also if you haven't done The Great Brain Robbery Quest then ditch the Holy Symbol and the Prayer Book that cures poison. Use one less Super Restore and take 3 Superanti Potions. Also the gear can be changed, i would not change anything, except maybe the Seers Ring for a Ring Of Life. You can also bring a monkey greegree, but i rather lose 1 Super Restore dose then a whole one.

Getting There

Teleport to Al-Kharid with your Glory or use a Dueling Ring, bank it and get your inventory ready (you can wait because there is also a bank in The Grand Tree). Go to Captain Dalbur, who is near the Gnome Glider. Travel to The Grand Tree.

burstfz4.png

Once you're there, go down 2 ladders. Go west and get your inventory ready if you haven't already, go east if you're ready and talk to Daero.

Return to crash island then by talking to Waydar. Next talk to Lumdo and go to Ape Atoll. Once you're there, go east and enter the dungeon with Melee Pray on. Drink a sip of Superanti and run to this spot.

burstni0.png

Stand here to burst.

Other Information

Keep Melee Prayer on at ALL times.

You need 2 Death Runes, 4 Chaos and 4 Water Runes for one Burst. At the price of 290 Gp per Death Rune, 120 Gp per Chaos Rune and 12 Gp per Water Rune. At the Rune prices of October 2007 that's 1108 Gp per Ice Burst.

It's 1462K Gp loss an hour and 1320 Casts an hour aproximatly.

Last but not least, good luck Bursting ;).

Pm me if needed for corrections and such.

More guides coming in the future.

Very nice guide!

Too bad I will not use it because i already spent too much money on training (30m) on red chinchompas but i might use it in the future.

Notes: well organised, all you need to know, not too much, easy too read.

10/10

Well...its not very much of a guide...I mean, ice bursting is a good way, but unless you got like 100m+ to blow, then its not good...why do you need this fast?

Nice anyways, not that i'd ever use this method XD

Dungeoneering isn't a skill.

I'm faster than bots at Sorceress Garden.

PM me if you want to chat. My PM is always off.

My keyboard is on fire. Want some?

May I ask you a question? At an average, how much experiance in mage would you get? If you could also but I don't want to know as much as mage, how much hitpoints xp you get also. Thanks ::'

Eum, it's like half the Magic xp if you train on Magic only mode.

Great guide for extremely fast leveling.

Of course, the majority of Scapers would stick to Alching, but if you're insanely rich, this is a great guide!

9/10

Add anything to make it longer and more fancy. Monster details, techniques for gathering them, etc.

Great guide, but one problem: Horrible pray bonus.

I would suggest a mitre instead of ah hood. 5 pray, 4 mage.

I also suggest zammy book. 5 pray, 8 mage.

You've sacrificed 9 mage bonus for 10 pray bonus, which will save you a LOT of money in ppots.

Started free trade with 1.5m cash. 2 weeks later, have hit max cash 2x.

PvP drops: 359 Brawling Gloves, 11 Vesta's Longswords, 41+ Zaros/Ancient Statues

9 Dragon Full Helms, 3 Dragonfire Shields on the old PvP loot system

Brawler guide is being finished!

zammy book and a god stole instead of fury would be best. very good prayer bonus and still high mage bonus

Stole is only 2 mage bonus, but your right -- if used with mitre. Stole sacrifices 8 mage bonus for 5 pray. Wondering about the 1 missing pray bonus in pic? Ancient Staff is -1 pray.

So with that gear, you will be 106 mage bonus with 19 pray. I easily like that over 123 mage 4 pray.

Mage bonus > Pray bonus. It wont save you that much in pots, and if it does you'll hit better and more anyway. That's why i said the gear is optonial but that gear was alright for me.

Nice guide!

I have 1 question, how many exp can you get per hour? If you've written it, i couldn't find it :P

160-200K

good guide, I would use it if I could afford the $/xp

PS: gratz on 99 mage did you get it yesterday? :o

Yes, and thanks.

Thanks for the comments to all the rest.
