I have to say, I'm really enjoying Daniel Craig as James Bond. Hopefully he's got a few more in him.

I have a confession to make: I had never seen a Bond film before Skyfall. Everyone said it was good, so I thought, seems like a fine place to start. I have no desire to ever watch another Bond film. The opening sequence was good and the title sequence was beyond cool, but the whole film just went downhill from there. People tell me Bond films aren't for everyone. I'll just say it's not my idea of a good movie.
I just watched Moonrise Kingdom. Never seen a Wes Anderson film before. Didn't like. I think I'm noticing a trend here.
I don't understand kids! When I was her age, I never would've taken a foot!
David, I can help. I'm a cop. That's what I do for a living.
You find feet?

I've only seen a few bond films and skyfall isn't that good. Don't let one mediocre film turn you off the whole series. Watch Casino Royale and then make a decision
Watched A royal affair. It was pretty good (7/10). And danish seems fairly similar to english, more so than I'd thought.

In 1970 the British Empire lay in ruins, foreign nationals frequented the streets - many of them Hungarians (not the streets, the foreign nationals).

I saw the newest Star Trek yesterday. I don't know if I liked it as much as the first but it does get pretty emotional near the end.

Oblivion 5/10. It was about average.
Lincoln 6/10. As a historian, you're supposed to leave it at the door. Sometimes you just can't.
Man on the Moon 7.5/10. There were really times I would forget it was Jim Carrey, and I do so very much love Andy Kaufman.
Wild at Heart 7/10. Typical David Lynch bizarro, which I love.
Metropolitan 9.5/10. If you are an intellectual or just very well-read, you will LOVE this movie. A tongue-in-cheek movie about NYC bourgeois college kids and their 90 minute discussion of party etiquette and social norms. Very fast paced and witty.

"Take 'The Tortoise and the Hare.' Okay, the tortoise won one race. Do you think that hare is really going to lose any more races to turtles? Not on your life. If you were a betting person, would you say, 'That tortoise won against the hare; in future races I'm backing him'? No. That race was almost certainly a fluke and afterwards the tortoise is still a tortoise, and the hare a hare."

Go watch The Spy Who Loved Me. It's like the epitome of James Bond films. A classic.

To be honest I think they've been going downhill but I enjoy watching them none the less.

Iron Man 2 was better than Iron Man 1 and 3, and better than avengers.
Avengers was terrible.
I actually have the exact opposite view from this. Avengers was better than IM1 and 3, which are about the same and better than 2.
Weird how my opinion seems to be different than a lot of people in this topic. Years ago I pretty much liked everything the average person liked and disliked what most people disliked. Not sure if the demographics here changed or if I changed. It's interesting...
