stevepole
I was a bit disappointed when I saw the newest Die Hard. Saw World War Z today. I liked it. I especially enjoyed Brad Pitt's performance.

iBe
Thinking of going to catch a movie soon. Would either be the new Superman or that world war movie, which do you guys prefer?
DownToFletch
I heard that the beginning of superman was good. Middle was terrible. ending was ok World War Z was okay I've heard, too. Not my types of movies so I doubt I'll ever see them
stevepole
The new Superman film is good, but as a film that focuses a lot of time on his journey of self-discover, there isn't a lot of high action that you get in either the beginning or the last third. World War Z is more consistant from beginning to end. Both are good summer blockbusters, so it really depends what you're in the mood for.
Jonanananas
Recently finished with the last episode of "The wire". Absolutely awesome, realistic crime drama with deeply detailed and complex characters...though that means it can be quite depressing at times... stevepole
I saw Spring Breakers last night. It was a really unconventional film that played like it was film on MDMA. It is a neo-noir, so with that said, the plot is almost given if you know noir films. My biggest problem with the film was it's inability to make you care about it's character's. Nom
Die Hard With a Vengeance. Never seen a Die Hard film before. It was quite enjoyable; action movie done right, I'd say.
obfuscator
Watched The Last Stand. It was awful, even for Arnold. 3/10 "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti

Jonanananas
Spring breakers - ??/10.I'm not sure what to think about this movie. It's not just softcore porn as some criticize it, but I'm not sure what to make of the social commentary. It doesn't have a serious plot or real character development, but artistically I find it quite well done. Definitely a case of "style over substance". If pressed for a rating, I guess I'd say 7/10 but I think in this case a rating just doesn't say enough. It's definitely a unique film.

Artillery
I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan, so it's easy for me to get brand new movies on DVD for cheap. The quality isn't the greatest but just recently watched the Hangover 3 and it's actually decent. Not as good as the first one, but still not bad. Kaida23
Got a good haul from the $5 bin this weekend. Red - a wonderfully funny action movie with some big name actors. As always John Malkovitch stole every scene he was in. Lockout - I'm a fan of bad sci-if movies and this did not disappoint. I was a bit worried after the horribly done green screen effects in the opening sequence, but after that it was pretty much what I was expecting. Turn movie on, turn brain off and enjoy. Weekend At Bernie's - I think this speaks for itself. And now I have my very own copy. :D Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P. So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually... unkn0wnwarrior
I've still only seen half of Weekend at Bernie's... I really need to see the rest. And bad sci-fi is the best sci-fi. Saw World War z. It was better than I expected, but my expectations were extremely low. Also saw Despicable Me 2. It was pretty much what I expected. I like it. Dax
Saw I Love You Phillip Morris, just when you thought it was over, it pulls you back in. Enjoyed it thoroughly. My mates and I were laughing near constantly, though that might have been aided by the fact it was 12 in the morning. Jim Carrey was excellent, and Ewan McGregor was just as good. #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod
baileydafrog
world war z seemed pretty aimless, some alright parts but in general didn't really seem like it was going anywhere, which i guess was the point to an extent despicable me 2 preferred the first, but enjoyable none-the-less, still plenty to laugh at
Randox
Saw The Heat a couple days ago. Loved it. I wasn't sure going in, but it's one of the funniest movies I have ever seen, and possibly one of the very rare comedies I might like to see more than once. I also saw the trailer for The Conjuring. I would like to see that, but the most realistic way for me to actually enjoy that kind of movie involves having a boyfriend to watch it with. I'll see world war Z at some point just because I've been dying to see another zombie movie. I've pretty much exhausted all the zombie movies that seemed like I might enjoy them (actually, so far I prefer 28 days and weeks, even if they aren't zombies in the most true sense), and have been waiting for some new material for a while. Kaida23
PCU - a great college comedy that I hadn't seen in years. And it's got a great soundtrack too (George Clinton, Elvis Costello, Jimi Hendrix). Remember when movies used to have really good soundtracks? Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. Dax
This is the End - I enjoyed it a lot. Though it was pretty predictable, it was just a good laugh. If you didn't know the actors, though, you probably wouldn't find it any good, but who doesn't know those guys these days. Not that I know/knew Jay before today. James Franco was my favourite part of this film, though, and Michael Cera. Heh. Oh man. #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod
