I was wondering what are the requirements other clans have for the status of Veteran Membership. How long must a member be in your clan? How active must they be? How do you reward members who for example, have been with you for over a year? Two years or more?

To me Honour has always been abiding by the terms of an agreement, and conducting yourself in a respectable manor (keeping swearing and flaming down to a minimum). These pre-conceived rules such as no eating, no praying, no teleporting, and a whole bunch of others have nothing to do with real Honour as far as I am concerned. I always encouraged my people to fight to the best of their ability, within the rules and terms set out. In a Run-In the standard protocol was to evaluate our chances for victory, attack if we believed we had a good chance, or flee for our lives if we knew we would be slaughtered. This was of course in the old wilderness where we could take the loot of those we slayed. We had a code of Honour we followed in the wild, any one without a skull who did not challenge us (and was not deemed a lure or Pker) (Party hat wears where considered lures, and we almost killed one once by attacking his ambush party) was safe around us. We only made exceptions if they where obviously PKers. We even went so far as to escort people who came to mine at the rune rocks. Because of this code, we rarely made a profit from our hunts. Most of the time we broke even, some times we lost everything we had. It was not about the loot, it was about the bond that formed risking our best gear (that for many of us took over a week of playing to obtain) in the search of our prey- the hated Random Player Killers. Now their is no longer such a wild, and any one who we can attack is a valid target (other than ourselves and allies/ order friends; and some other rare exceptions) as they are in a mini game for that purpose. When the PVP worlds come out, if we like them, every one will be fair game, as they come knowing they take that risk, and seek it for their own purposes ;most likely to slay other players and take their loot.

Yes I am talking about my old nemesis here, the one who practically stalked me on runescape. Theirs a rule against naming names, so I will not go into detail.

Killed the clan I lead before MD (way before- low levels (20+), not pures) by committing them to a war with a superior clan (they where level 70+, full rune).

And if we (the clans of TipIt) come to your aid, what will you do for us in return? Before saying allies are allowed, you should really evaluate how many allies you have. Getting them on short notice can be difficult to say the least. You might also want to check with the other clan, I would have a big problem if our opponents where trying to get new allies for a war

We had a vendetta with a newly formed clan whose name I cannot speak of due to a treaty that's probably been forgotten by every one but me. The vendetta was really with it's leader, who I believed to be a threat to us in the wild. I organized our forces to crush his clan before it could truly be said to have begun (by ambushing them in the wild whenever we had the chance). This was one of the few times I could be called ruthless, and that is exactly what I had to be; for he expressed his desire to do the same to us if we let him get strong enough. This was back during the old wild, where you could kill other players and take their loot. And this happened I do believe well over a year ago, before your time. Ask some of the oldest veterans, they may remember our battle. Actually the whole operation went sour (was unable to field any one from MD for the ambush) so I had to rely on allies to do the job. It just took around 5 of us to take out a force that had us outnumbered and outgunned (higher levels than us). Their leadership was terrible.

I don't believe so. A long time ago we had some rivalry's, but the scores where settled.

I like a tight knit professional community where I know the guy's I fight alongside have my back. At least this was important in the old wild, when it took me about a weeks worth (being F2P and lazy) to acquire the needed funds for Full Rune amour. Back then we where highly skilled in the art of ARPKing. We did it for the fun, not for the funds (we actualy lost money most trips, our selection of valid targets was very small). Now day's I am not really in a clan (well I am MD's Root Admin if that means anything) so that part about having my back does not apply. Still I like the professionalism that is exhibited by some clans. I can still remember how we used to march in formation (as good as the runescape engine allows for)...

Have not read most of the posts (very busy this week), but wanted to point out something. If the bus company is receiving government funding it is a violation of the first amendment dealing with Separation of Church and State- or so that is how I understand it is... and how I believe it should be. I may be wrong about that though, but the ten commandments where forced out of a courtroom by the ACLU on grounds that it violated the first amendment.

Wine might help... I don't know if you are old enough though (depends where you live). It has helped me in the past, but some times has resulted in terrible nightmares... Also be sure to get up at a regular time, that might help as well. I try to get up no later than 8am, and I try to go to bed at around 10PM (wake up at 6am to go to college twice a week).

VVV has a good ring to it. If I don't say this our members might think poorly of me so here it goes: MD Pawns!

What's wrong with Jagex? Why the hell are they banning or muteing people for spaming their clan name in the Clan Wars Arena? I thought the wilderness was the one place where jagex had enough common sense to make an exception to that rule.

Never heard of them before now... I think the leader may have been rather unfaithful to his flock just leaving their board to rot. If I had 10 loyal members left I would ask them to elect a leader, put him in charge, and leave it to him. I pretty much did that when MD imploded, and he has done a nice job rebuilding. Well actually I appointed him (long story).

Well I think the runescape part of our organization has two leaders- one supreme leader (Armybulder1) and one (perhaps two, but the other is so inactive I cannot tell what his current standing is) second in command (decebalus6). Below them are a bunch of "Loyal" members. The loyals are members of a user group by the same name. Many of them are old school members, and some appear to have seniority to others, although it is unwritten. Finally below them are the Starters- new members without much authority, but I do believe they get a voice none the less on certain matters (event polls for example). On the board side of things we got 4 Admins. I lead the board as the Root Admin, taking council from the other 3. They are Armybuilder1, Nighthawk890, and Decebalus6. We would have other staff members, but right now their is simply no need for General Moderators, most if not all of our users know how to behave quite well.

Well I have begun walking the prophesized path to greatness. I have taken my first steps in the world of "Computer Animation and Simulation". I am new at this, and am just learning some of the basics right now "Python, and Alice". I hope to learn everything I can, and perhaps one day make the cut to join a fine company... or if I am crazy enough start my own.

Must we bring Iraq into this? Iraq is partly the result of Bush's belief "he threatened my Daddy!"... I would rather not bring that man (quite possibly the most hated president in U.S. history) into this either. Now no one has told any of you your not welcome to make topics about your national day's of mourning or tragedys. Perhaps the Off-Topic section would be more interesting and educational if you would do so. The fact is we have not gotten justice after all these years; Osama Bin Ladin is still at large (some would say thanks in part to our current leaders incompetence). So instead of complaining that their are no posts to remember your national day's of mourning, why don't you make some?

I edited my main post with a link to the Wikipedia topic about why this day is important to Americans. Some of you might not know, or may have forgotten... I remember I was going to my English class and the towers where on TV, one of them billowing up smoke. I knew right away what had happened, I knew who was behind it. Most people had no idea, and thought it was a small plain, an accident. Somehow I knew better, something told me it was Osamas work. Call it a premonition if you will, but I had this feeling for a while before the attack that something like this was going to happen...

The thing is it's been 7 years and we have had no resolution. The Murdering Bastard that did this to us is still alive, mocking us with his video's.
-
Seeing as this is the 7th anniversary of the attack upon my nation I thought I would make a topic to discuss how people feel now. I was abit surprised and somewhat upset to see no one bothered to make a topic this year. For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about please read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9/11 It does not do justice to this day, no description can.

Thanks for the advice, it's much aprecieated.

I would like to welcome back my predecessor here, and wish him a good reign on the Clan Forums. He was the guy who tried to keep the Clan Forums alive when they died out just before I was made a Clan Mod. Some people do not like him, but they did not take him into proper context. Few of you realize he was working almost alone, with only one Admin to back him up moderating all those forums. Finally he retired and the 3 of us (yes their where 3 clan Mods required to replace him) tried to keep up the pace he set. Two of the replacements could not hack it and quit, leaving me his sole successor. His job was a difficult one, and not just because of all the cleaning of recruitment topics that was required. People would blame whoever they thought was in charge for the decline of the Clan Forums, even if it was not their fault. From what I could tell for his part Loge did his best to keep these forums working, and I am confident that now, with the support of multiple other Mods and Admins, and with our support he will make an excellent member of the team, one who will help to continue the clan sections recovery from the cold grip of death that was once upon it's throat. Notice I said Team, the TipIt Staff is a team, and so is the clan Moderators and Admins. Sometimes we forget that they need to work together to get things done, that no one person can simply assume command without the support of the others. Loge has not come back to take his place as commander of the Clan Section, (although he may one day prove worthy of that position) nay I say he has come back to join our team, and to help in the task of making this section great once again.

Lithuanian Forces Four Year Anniversary, 24d. September
Bufoman replied to ViruZaZ's topic in Clan Discussions
ahh, 4 years is indeed a long time for a runescape clan to be around. Congratulations on your sucess. -
Well I don't much care for all the time and effort required to be the leader, it can be a very time consuming job. However I don't like to be a low-ranking member with little to no say in the way things are run either, I know how to lead people, how to command, and don't like taking commands from people I don't like, or do not believe know what they are doing. I am currently the Root Admin for our board, and in a way that makes me a co-leader of the order. Armybuilder1 has command of the runescape part of the order, I have command of the board, together we make a good team. This is not to say he is not the leader, he is, just saying I am the leader of the board... If I ever came to play runescape again and joined my order- (technically I never left, just quit runescape and leading) I would probably ask for a special rank that granted me special in-game command power, and the right to advise whoever is in charge via PM. A position that would not make me the leader, but would make me an Uber member :D

Started House Flamer in honour of my in-game friend and ally blueflame(insert numbers). He ran a small mercenary clan known as Blue Fang... we where both pretty low on combat levels- err 30 seems about right, not pures, well pure newbs for sure. We had no forum, but managed to do events, and actually had fair unit cohesion. Died in a fight with an actual clan, really we where slaughtered. We fought for the right to the Falladore Mansion (a place that no longer exists, replaced by party peets) against a clan known as Evolution. Their combat average was 70 and they had more members... yeah, it was a short fight.
