Well here's an idea for those of you who want to make a stand for flag burning: Go do it in the chinese capital with their flag.

Out of the names you provided I think Crystal Legion would be best. It implies that your followers are exceptionally week, needing only the slightest wack with a war hammer to shatter :lol: I would only use the word crystal for a clan either involved in mysticism (crystal ball) or skills (fine crystal), not combat. But that is your decision.

Well it all depends on what country I am going to and why... If I am at the head of an army to conquer it... well then I may or may not respect the local customs depending on my whim. Wait... I don't have an army, nor plans to conquer a country any time soon. I suppose I would at least try to fit in, but would only make an effort to assimilate if I was going to live their. Just visiting I would learn the big no-no's and call it good. I have not been outside of my country yet, and due to it's size it's not like their isn't allot of places to see and things to do here. Might go up to Canada some day, or visit the British Isles. Language is a big barrier so I would probably want to go to an English speaking country... our customs and cultures are pretty much the same, and if you do something wrong the locals can just tell you, and you can explain in your native tongue.

No virus where detected by my antivirus when I ran a scan, and Spybot did not find anything out of the ordinary... Did find one registry change for Internet Explorer, but it did not say it was really a threat. Will let you know if this problem continues.

Ok so when a page is loaded and I am reading the thread sometimes it redirects me to here: http://www.peoplepcfinder.com/dM/handle ... eb-lr-derp .Does any one else have this problem or have I gotten some wierd virus? This seems to have started today and is happening on more than one thread. It is getting very annoying. And I have not clicked on anything other than the link to a topic.

I would [wagon] the situation and decide how best to proceed. If they where of the 28 day's later variety I guess I would be pretty much screwed. Would still put up a valiant effort, killing many with my small arsenal. If I learned in advance of the attack and it had not yet affected my area I would probably join one of the many militias that would be forming. If none where forming I would ask the Sheriff for permission to start one myself. If he said no I would start a hunting club instead :P My town is full of hunters, seriously you would be hard pressed to find a household that is not armed. As a result any Zombie attack would be doomed to failure without the element of surprise. I would have allot of fun picking them off. Sadly zombies do not exist and I will theirfore be denied the opportunity to participate in the turkey shoot. Now if it where a big looting and pillaging mob from one of the bigger city's to the south... let's just say they better not come here.

Depends on the Aliens and why they are attacking. I might actually join them in their most noble cause of bringing us into their great empire... not likely they would be invading for such a benevolent reason. I would expect them to at least try diplomacy first. If they where zenomorphs (not sure about spelling) from the movie Aliens... well then I guess I would get my flamethrower out and have some fun.

I never heard of Pangaea Day until now... sounds like a good idea really. Well from what I can gather it took place on May 10th, that's 2 months after BHM. BHM is in February. No Idea why I did not hear about this day before now, considering how much TV I watch.

Every race has been discriminated against let's face it. If youre a white American and go down to Mexico don't be surprised if you hear the word "Greengo" a couple thousand times. If youre an East Indian Hindu and you go to Muslim Pakistan, don't be surprised at the hostility you will encounter. Need I go on? Let's face it; the human race is really good about putting other people into groups that they can mutually despise. The Scottish hated the English and Vice Versa; Sunnis hate Shiites; Catholics and Protestants where killing each other in Ireland during the Civil War. So for some reason or another we humans find a way to hate our fellow man over some difference, sometimes so minor it just doesnt make sense. Why just Black History Month? Thats the question.

Well I have no intentions of voting for either of the main candidates, will either sit out the presidential election or vote for a third party candidate I actually believe in. Chuck Baldwin looks promising. I don't care for some of his defeatist outlooks on things though, like when he said we should not be the worlds police. I think we should be taking over the world by now, should have been doing it all along. Hell if it where up to me we would have annexed much of South America (numerous opertunity's during civil unrest such as revolutions, and terribly opressive and brutal governments that should of been replaced with our own) and Mexico a long time ago (Mexico pretty much lost at least one war with us, should of done it then). But that's just me, quite possibly one of the last imperialists living in the world. At any rate I sure as hell don't trust our current government to do that right; they are squandering a wonderful opportunity in Iraq to secure that oil for our nations use. So I can't hold it against any one who say's we shouldnt be the worlds police, we just don't have the right mindset (or government for that matter) to do it right. Also since I brought it up I might as well let you know I am not like one of the Imperialists of old (who exploited other peoples), I believe in granting citizenship to the annexed and partitioning their lands into territorys, and then within 30 or so years making them into states with a voice in the government.

I will probably be doing something somewhere oblivious to what's going on until the radios and TV stops working. I doubt they (the government controlled media) will let us know it's happened; they will just let us go on with our happy little lives and get a lethal dose of radiation. If I knew it was coming well then, I guess I would be shoveling dirt against my basement windows, moving the bathtub down their, fill it with water, fortify the back room against radiation, gather supplies including 50 pound bags of dog food, and prepare to wait the two necessary months for the world to become livable again. Also we could just have Africa History Month in February in addition to Black History Month, that way we don't take away the guilt trip extravaganza (my own opinion here) and upset any one, we just add some more stuff to it. I think it's not being taught right, Day after day it's slavery this, and slavery that on PBS, so much is being focused on the negative I just can't watch it. I though they where supposed to talk about Black heroes like the man who invented the Oil Cup for locomotives... I can't even remember his name.

I have no intention of starting a flame war, I simply desire to discuss this idea and see if it has any merit. Just want to make that clear, and I would appreciate it if people can discuss an Idea without getting angry and calling each other names for a change.

Hello. I just came upon an idea for an alternative to Black History Month, and I would like to discuss it with you, and see what you think. I would like to see this month changed to Africa History Month, and a history month added for all the other continents. So for Europe their would be Europe History Month, for Asia Asia History Month and so on. I am just sick of being dragged into the old guilt trip every February for something I, and my ancestors had nothing to do with. So I thought why not do something educational about world history without all the guilt instead? It might help bring us all closer together instead of driving us further apart every year. Discuss please.

Just a quick idea here while we are discussing history months. How about changing Black History Month to Africa history month, and add a month for all the other contents to study their history? Actually sounds good to me, I would tune in to Africa history month programs instead of black history, because they would have to cover things before the slave trade (like the old African empires- namely Egypt)- no chance their to send us all on the guilt trip (every year I hear how my evil ancestors enslaved and oppressed them, no not my ancestors, they where all poor and did not live in this country then). I think the whole thing would be really educational, and entertaining at times. Going a little off topic I know, might actually want to make a new topic for this one.

I don't see how one can compare burning the flag to putting explosives on a child and sending him off on a suicide attack... I just don't. Desecrating the flag is pretty bad, but it's not evil like that is. Suicide bombing sort of belongs in a different topic... we all have different views on that one. I myself think it's only acceptable to do against military targets during a time of war, never against civilians or using children as these cowards are doing. Any culture that advocates such evil cowardice is one that I consider to be alien and hostile to mine, one that must be resisted, not embraced. As for flag burning some how being squeezed into freedom of speech I must say I was somewhat surprised that the courts got away with doing that, and I strongly believe the ruling must be overturned.

Hmm ever seen that episode of South Park where Cartman thinks he's a Ginger? At any rate I don't think you can classify Gingers as a race, as their offspring are not guaranteed to share those distinguishing traits. The 'races' pass on their traits to their children (Skin Color, Hair Color, Physical build such a Jaw Bone structure, extra), where as Gingers do not. The exception to this rule is when races mix, then their is no guarantee what to expect. Their have been 'white' blacks who are practically albino's.

Flag burning has very little do with free speech, it's about protest, please don't get the two things confused. We can say Flag Burning should be made illegal without attacking free speech, as I said freedom of speech involves the tong and mouth, Freedom of the press involves letters, neither involves burning and stomping on a national symbol.

A black person is a human like your brother, sister, father, mother. A flag is a piece of canvas regardless of emotional value people place on it. Why don't we just make it a Hate Crime to burn the American flag? I mean to me and many other Americans it feels much the same as it does to a black person to be called the N word, or other derogatory and illegal names given to minorities. I don't mean to turn this into a topic about hate crime laws and how I believe they are in violation of the constitution, but since they can at least bend the first amendment here for that, why can't they for the symbol of our nation?

First off please define "Hate Crime". Did you know the FBI had to investigate a fireman for a possible "Hate Crime" a while back because he hung up a soaking wet teddy bear to dry on a string? "Hate Crime" in this country could mean just about anything, it's become a witch hunt. EDIT: I have to ask this: if it's against the law to display a noose to a black person, or call him the N word, even though the latter is protected by the first ammendment, why the hell is burining and spitting upon the American flag legal?

Well if they do this right and make it F2P I just might come out of retirement. But somehow I have my doubts this will be a good enough replacement for the old wild, much must be risked or the victories are hollow.
