Thanks Mini Me for standing up for some of us who have been called Idiots and Liars by this guy. Mage Killer you never apologized for that, and I am inclined to hold a grudge if you do not. Putting that asides for now, let us continue our argument in a civil manor. First off I said I consider myself a reformist, but not one with a political affiliation. I am not a socialist, or a Marxist, and I do not know what they have to do with being a Reformist. I want reform in this country, does that not by definition make me a reformist? To me it's the same as being a conservative, if your here in America it's supposed to mean Right-Wing, Anti Abortion, Anti Tax and Big Government, Pro 2ND amendment and all that. But if you live in the Ex-Soviet union (well some of the breakaway countries at least) it means you are a communist. Conservatism is defending the status quo as I understand it. I do not like the status quo, that's why I chose the term Reformist. About taxing the rich: did you know that one percent of the population pay's something like 20% of the taxes in this country? Seems that any one who is successful gets punished for it with high taxes. Personally I am in favor of a flat income tax that gradually reduces to nothing the lower you are from the poverty level (or something similar). I am opposed to the Estate and Inheritance tax, as well as property tax (why pay for something you don't make any money from?). Sales tax is tolerable, but I think it's double taxation since you already have to pay Income Tax. It would be really nice if they figured out a way to eliminate all federal taxes... I wonder if our great silver deposits to the south could be nationalized and produce Silver Dollars? As for Health Care: Do you know how extraordinarily expensive it has become? The profit that is being made by this industry is excessive to say the least. If we did have universal health care, it would have to involve opening up government owned and run clinics and hospitals that do not have a profit motive. Doing what Canada did and outlawing healthcare for profit is a bad idea, as it puts the burden on the government and the taxpayers. People have to wait for months up their. Their is hope however, if the insurance company's and the government did not pay the bills so much, then it is very likely the industry would have to substantially lower the cost of providing health care to the masses- to a cost we could afford. It's already happening, did you see the 20-20 report on $25 doctor visits at the malls? I must be off now; we shall continue our discussion later.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Bufoman replied to indy500fan's topic in Off-Topic
I guess I would take the United States... Ohh you mean like super hero power :D All right, I think I would take voluntary Immortality- where I could be immortal, but only so long as I choose to be (no curse involved here). -
Okay first off I would like to make it clear that when I said "Damaged Goods" I am referring to the psychological trauma that must have occurred during McCains years of torture at the hands of the vietnese. I am not trying to put him down or anything like that, as a matter of fact I respect him for not cracking (or at least we think he never cracked). But if you watched the Manchurian Candidate you would be a little worried about having him as president. Now putting that aside let me Rebuff you on a few things Mage killer. First off I dislike this statement you had: What exactly do neo-cons have to do with true conservatives? Not that I consider myself a conservative exactly... I am more of a reformist. At any rate you obviously lost the spirit of my statement about "Bush has done anything but make a smaller government with lower taxes." How about addressing the part about smaller government before you call me an Idiot and a Liar? I would like that list of memorable things Obama has done before running for president- just give me the big 3 if you care to post it here. I could argue about that one with you. Theirs allot of Anti Gun sorts in the democrat party, Al Gore for instance. Asides from the fact that everyone hates them? Where does the money go exactly? Allot of it goes to corporate welfare... what was it $160 Billion for the rich? First off My dad does not call up a friend to get me a "cake job", and why exactly do you assume that I am white? or was this just a scenario? I believe in liberty, the right of the people to chose, be their choice good or be it bad. Forcing others to accept some one only leads to resentment, and when you throw in a quota can keep qualified people out because you do not have enough minorities. Before you yell at me about calling minority's ignorant consider that not all area's have many of them, so if you need one black for every ten whites in an area where whites outnumber blacks 1000 to one, you may very well have a hard time finding enough blacks (or others) who are qualified. Imagine the outrage blacks would feel if they where told by a employer "sorry, but we simply do not have enough whites"- if the system was truly fair then that could very well happen in area's where the 1000 to one (all right, maybe not 1000) is black to white. You would love to have the fairness doctern would you? How would you like to have Dr. Savage, Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Laura, and others come on every liberal talk show in the country once a week to force their point of view upon the audience? I doubt very much you would, nor would I like to have Howard Stern or any of the others forced on me- I like to chose who I listen too thank you very much. Both parties are guilty of neglecting the GI's needs, but the democrats have a bad track record. Does any one remember the low funding during the Clinton years? Or how about how the mayor of New Orleans deemed it more important to spend money on public parks than levy maintaince? I would say that the levies can be compared to the armed forces in this regard. When I said freedom of speech I was referring to among other things the "Fairness Doctern"... and does any one remember how recently Nancy Pelosi turned off the lights on the republicans? I resent you trying to put me in a group, I am not a Ron paulite, or a Neo Con, nor do I campaign for any one. Why don't you share with us your political athileations, and what you have done in politics instead of making comments like this

Our board requires admin validation of every new account. Some might think this is too much of an inconvenience, but it really isn't. Average validation time is well under 24hours, and accounts awaiting validation can read most of our forums while they wait. With the right verification protocols including googleing names your unsure of, and being suspicious of obscure Emails, spammers are not really a problem.

Mage killer: Bush has done anything but make a smaller government with lower taxes. He created homeland security (or at least substantially expanded it) as I recall, and a ton of other government agencies, that don't really seem worth the expense. We already have the FBI and CIA why do we need homeland security exactly? He has not exactly been the candidate I thought he would be, when he said the troops get to stay in Iraq for longer tours, and not get a raise it really got me mad at him. But this is not about bush, it's about his two likely successors. Myself I don't plan to vote for either of them. McCain comes off as somewhat weak, and he also worked with Ted Kennedy to try and pass the so-called comprehensive immigration reform. So-called because from what I heard tucked somewhere inside that monstrosity they called a bill was something that would of given amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. Comprehensive immigration reform should be done one bill at a time, each addressing a different part of the problem. Asides from that I think he's damaged goods- being held prisoner and tortured for so long by the Vietnamese... did any one watch the Manchurian candidate? This is not to say he is not a nice, likeable guy (a guy who served our country in the Vietnam War and suffered horribly at the hands of the Communists), I just don't think he is the right man for this particular job. As for Obama... shall we go down the list. Well their is his paster reverend Wright- that guy is guilty of sedition as far as I'm concerned. Obama took his sweet time to distance himself from that man when the recordings broke out. I have also heard he is more radical than Hillary Clinton... if I didnt like Hilary, why would I like him? He only has a few years experience as a senator, and what's more he's a man with very little history as I understand it. Can any one bring up something memorable that he did before running for president? Not that I would know as he is not from my state... and I don't follow politics all that well. In general I do not like the policy's that his party have always represented... take away our guns, raise taxes, impose affirmative action against the better judgment of the states, Impose the fairness doctern, legalize the illegals, and raise our taxes. Oh yeah, don't forget letting the military rot in order to pursue social programs (like Al Gore selling part of our strategic oil reserve to the lowest bidder) Lets see... I like guns in the hands of law-bideing, sane citizens. I happen to like the military (want better pay for soldiers- it's terrible). I like low taxes thank you very much. I want our boarders locked down tight. And I like freedom of speech. So theirs my reasons for not wanting to vote for Obama either. Before you start about how the republicans are no good either know that I don't like either of the two main party's. They each have allot of corrupt, dishonest politicians (and a few good one's), and they both (in my opinion, this whole thing is my opinion) act in a very self serving manor for themselves and their constituents (the elite that run this country). One thing I do like about Obama though: Jessie Jackson hates him (heard the comments about Obama not being black enough?). So in closing I plan to vote for a third party candidate this year, or none at all. Why should we the American people continue to play into this two party system? Why should we vote for the lesser of two evils year after year? What has it gotten us? We have 8 years of Clinton :^o , and 8 years of Bush :wall: to show for it.

Well so long as I consider you my friend I will stick with you. The flow... I assume you mean what others think? I don't really care what others think seeing as they are not counted amongst my friends. Now if the flow was an angry mob, and my friend was guilty of some terrible crime that I could not abide by, then I believe we would split. Otherwise that mob would have one hell of a fight on their hands.

Like Mr. D (what we call Decebalus) said, we simply live too far from each other. The Dutch and other small country clans have an easier time with this. I am known for my paranoia, but if my order ever was really big, had a rich patron who would pay for airfare and rooms/ campground, I think I could find my way to going to a Real Life meeting. Of course I am a good deal older (22) than most of the runescape players; and I suppose most of our members for that matter. Stalkers do not bother me personally, seeing as I am a very big guy (no, not big as in fat, big as in tall and having a wide build) but I can see how it could be a problem for our younger members. Best to do this sort of thing in a fairly public place... Frankly I think people are overly frightened of online predators. I have a few enemies in real life who I have to worry about allot more... Either way I doubt Jagex really approves of having these meetings, or for that matter the clans that host them.

I know it's a little late, but Congratulations on your recent appointment. -
Today at 1PM Eastern (New York) Standard Time I will be logging on quite likely for the last time in runescape. My former troops have put on a departing from runescape ceremony for me, and I invite every one who is interested to come. I know this is short notice, but I would like to see some of the people I have come to know over the years come.

Tip.It Times Presents: Functionality vs. Flash
Bufoman replied to Rcty's topic in General Discussion
I have to say this article nailed the issue rather well. As far as I'm concerned they never got a suitable replacement for the old wilderness and Pking as we had known it. Instead they threw us a few mini-games and called it good. They also took away trading, drop parties, and allot of other stuff that made the game enjoyable. Half a year has passed now since they took these things away to stop the Bots; they said to be patient, that they would get things worked out. So what has our patience gotten us? A game that's now more flash than substance. I for one would gladly see the old wilderness, trading, private drop parties, and all the other things brought back if all we had to put up with was the Bots. Even if we had to give up the "new and improved" runescape (which my computer can't play) it would be a fair trade to me. How about you? -
Yes I have been considering this for a good 6 months now. Should have done it a long time ago... We got some good people though, Sir Armybuilder proved himself time and time again as one of our most loyal and dedicated members in the past, I am confident that he will make a fine leader if given enough time and support. Also I should mention Nighthawk890 who would have been my successor, however he has been terribly pre-occupied of late, and as I understand it feels the same way about Runescape as I do. If he ever starts playing again I hope to see a space in the leadership open up for him. Thank you all for the warm farewell, know however that it is not a sad day for me. I am free at last from what had at one time become a life of servitude... Spending at least 5 hours of my free time each day just to hold things together is not my idea of a good time.

Yes it's true, Runescape has lost all it's appeal for me. I think they finally killed it when they removed the old wild. What it is now is something entirely different from what I fell in love with so long ago. I am giving online organizations a break for now; I intend to focus more on things in the real world. I recently became the president of a new Chess Club, and it show's great promise.

Hello every one Today I officially stepped down from my position as leader of Militos Deci. I have named Armybuilder1 as my successor. I am making this topic so every one who is interested will know what is going on. Although I am no longer the leader of Militos Deci I am still the Root Admin of our community forums, and have taken for myself the title of "Founder". Thank you for reading, you now know who's in charge.

Thanks for the responces every one.

Where did you hear that?

I may be willing to drop some of the full iron sets we had ammased... but I shall have to speak with our members first, we did put a good deal of effort into our armoury, and now jagex is going to make it almost useless :boohoo:

A suggestion to stop autoers, bunny rabbits
Bufoman replied to psychorunescaper's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
What exactly would happen if a bot tried to chop down a bunny named yew... I certainly hope we wouldent see the first rabbit feet for sale on the grand exchange :ohnoes: -
Frankly I don't think stopping RWT 100% should be the objective of Jagex, even if say a third of those bots that survived long enough to conduct an exchange get through successfully it may be enough for their owners to say "not financially viable".

A suggestion to stop autoers, bunny rabbits
Bufoman replied to psychorunescaper's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I don't quite get it, how would a bunny rabit get people or bots to follow him? would they be in different colours some that confuse bots? if so what colours... we don't want to see a bunch of strange looking rabbits all over the place. -
I don't realy like it, but its better than no PVP at all in this game.

Thanks for the input every one, so far no one seems to disagree with me̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ it has only been one day however. Making part of it solo seems like a decent idea, at least on Free worlds where most items values are not that great, seeing as we cant bring in much money or more than one set of one type of armour, and we must be able to wield said armour. How that would be implemented I do not know however, and my suggestions are primarily focused on trying to make it better for clans.

I would like to propose a few changes to the new mini game known as Bounty Hunter: First I would like to have it on every world, not select worlds. Their used to be enough Pkers in runescape to fill every world, we didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t have to be on a pre-determined world to PK. The same I believe should apply to Bounty Hunter. Secondly I would like to propose that either proposal A or B is implemented. Proposal A is as follows: Create a fourth section where any one can enter regardless of combat levels, this would help solve the problem some clans are having in regards to their members being split up. However I would also like to propose that for this fourth section there would be something like the old wilderness levels, just with allot less space in between. Why you might ask would I want this? Well I believe it would help draw in lower levels like pures who most certainly wouldn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t want to go to this section if they where to be piled by level 126̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s, and if this sort of thing where the standard their then it would become more of a copy of the high level section than a common one. Or use proposal B. Proposal B is as follows: Change Bounty Hunter into one giant crater with something like the former wilderness levels. Only instead of having them go from north to south have them in a great circular pattern, level one at the outside and level 126 at the inner most part. Their would be some sort of a feature to mark where the first murder took place, and the evil that still haunts it is strongest. This would explain why PVP level differences increase the closer you get to that spot. Naturally your assigned target should be attackable regardless of what level he is in, so as to prevent people from hugging the walls looking for easy prey. This change I believe would make Bounty Hunter a much more enjoyable game and bring some balance that helps a bounty hunter get his prey without being piled by a team every time. Thank you for reading my proposal, I welcome whatever replies you might have providing you keep them civil.

Attention all Clan Leaders/Members/Jagex Update Solution
Bufoman replied to SiNxp8's topic in Clan Discussions
Taking PVP out of the wilderness couldn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t have much to do with trading in the sense you are talking about, more like they are worried RWT's will turn auto retaliate off and let some one kill them for their money or what not... that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s the only thing here I can think of. There are other options here like limiting how much money you can take with you into the wild, all the trouble involved in selling regular items if they are taken as part of the kill should serve some what as a deterrent to this. Frankly I think they have restricted Pking to Bounty Hunter because it is such a small area, and they can scan every one coming in and out of those caves. That̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s my theory behind all this. -
Well I can tell you now this is going to affect my order considerably. The only thing that was truly unique about us was our version of ARPK that we called hunting. During a hunt we would search the wild for skulled Pkers, if they where not skulled and did not challenge us then we could not confirm that they where indeed out to PK, and their for would not engage them unless we had another way to validate that such as having run into them when they where indeed skulled. Now every one is skulled, and it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s going to be in a much smaller area. I wouldn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be surprised if our hunting party's find themselves the target of every bounty hunter and rouge in their who feels threatened by us. The Clan War arena only supports 100 Vs. 100 matches, I am sure the top clans are absolutely furious about this. The only reason F2P got the duel arena I am sure was to try to compensate for the great one on one duels we used to have in the wild, we got the war arena to try and replace clan wars, which will need a major overhaul if its going to appeal to the larger clans and their allies, and we got bounty hunter to replace Pking. These three mini games will not replace the wild we once knew, I can only hope clans are up to the task of adapting to this sudden and radical change.
