  1. I would probably go for more like this: Giant Mole KBD DKS TDs CE GWD bosses (but Nex) KQ QBD Corporeal Beast Nex Many people seem to assume some older bosses are easy solely based on the fact that they're older, without actually facing them. Kalphite Queen especially is harder than most bosses I've faced. Spamming consistent 200s+ that can't be tanked spread over two formes.
  2. Please for those posting stuff they've seen: take pics. Remember that not everyone has access (myself included) and we ain't got the option to check things out ourselves.
  3. I was playing at the time and didn't the event happen June the 7th for the majority of RuneScape? Being 6 June only for a limited amount of American players? I'm almost entirely surre about this. Might even have been the 8th. Ah, the dramatic flair of people.
  4. So I just got 34k dg tokens, got my Herbicide. Then Kuradal gives me an Aberrant Spectre task. Then THIS happens: You get a blazing horn sound as it drops, by the way. 2nd champion, after this one: [spoiler=Old] That's from November 2007. Hoho.
  5. Return of Lucien was the original name of While Guthix Sleeps.
  6. So apparently this update ties players based on their damage-output skilss (Strength, range and mage) rather than combat level like all previous PvP minigames. Pures are having a hissy fit they're regularly tied to maxed players as targets. I lol'd wholeheartedly.
  7. So who's the host of HYT these days?
  8. I get about 17-20k at 86 in a match if the combinations and heaviest fish are called soon enough. So that's 17-20k every 18 minutes (10 match, 8 minutes waiting). So that's 56k-66k xp per hour. If you combine that with shilo fishing (play game, leave, fish at shilo, enter, play game, rince and repeat) with about 6 of the eight minutes spent on fishing in shilo you'll get 101k-116k xp per hour. Of course, this is quite far from AFK that way.
  9. Giants and mammoths seem to be grand souls, haven't found another reliable source. Giants fill greater. Only Mammoths can reliably fill Grand Souls. Very easy to kill if you got the 15x Dagger damage with sneak and the double backstab gloves (for a total of 30x damage) along with a enchanted Soul Trap Dagger.
  10. I just buy my Daedra Hearts at Alchemists... 280 gold-ish with my price-lowering gear and perks. Getting 100 Enchanting now to turn my full Daedric armour and weapons (legendary) in dual-enchanted Daedric armour (legendary). Rape ahoy. Also, for prospect Enchanters. Get your follower, give them 10 petty gems and/or 10 lesser gems (nothing higher) and a weapon with Soul Trap enchantmen, go out, make them kill any foe... 10 filled gems. Probably a bug, but it beats hunting for random creatures to fill them.
  11. I know for a fact damage soaking works as I did the Double Nomad challenge earlier this week and I got hit roughly 820s on his Freeze attack, whereas I should normally be hit 929's as my constitution level is 93 (I was wearing Armadyl's as I was pure ranging him). @OP: You're going to have a lot of trouble if you either don't have a Yak or don't have Soul Split. I was Soul Splitting both Nomad's non-melee forms and I only just barely made it out alive killing the second. And that was with roughly 40 brews (barely as in 200 LP and not a single brew dose left - my heart was pounding). Still, I can happily say I maintain my track record of never having lost to Nomad.
  12. I hope they don't add Kalphite King in same lair as the Queen. I mean, she might be old, but damn. Her hits still outbeat the majority of the current RS bosses. Two of them at the same time would be overkill.
  13. Dudes, do the Blow Kiss or Dance emote during a fight when the boss still lives. [hide=for Firefox or Opera heroes][/hide] [hide=for IE, Chrome or Safari dorks][/hide]
  14. Yeah, Class A bosses really only appear on Floors 6+. If you're looking into unlocking Class A bosses, I'd recommend doing Endurance with the following gear: This takes care of every boss extremely well except Dagannoth Mother II and Nomad. Although I'd recommend just doing the specials to unlock those two. Gelatinnoth Mother and Dagannoth Mother I can be easily done by tanking hits and waiting for the Green/Orange phases. If you encounter Damis, Fareed, Dessous and Kamil or Karamel and Gelatinnoth Mother on floors 2-5 I'd recommend just to quit, and die if they'reon floor 1. They're so not worth the effort. If you see them on Floor 6+, kill them in order. DT Bosses: - Line up the bosses by running to the right. - Pray Mage, kill Dessous first - Kamil next - Equip your range gear, range Damis' both forms while having Fareed stand inbetween. Pray melee. - Re-equip melee gear and Ice gloves and kill Fareed Karamel and Jelly mother: - Pray mage, kill Karamel - If Jelly mother switches to Green/Orange whilst Karamel is still alive, set your priority on Jelly mother - Finish killing Karamel - Tank hits while waiting for Jelly mother to turn Green/Orange ----------------- Inventory explanation: - Range gear: The Illusive, Dagannoth Mother and variants, Damis, Decaying Avatar (this is the only thing you absolutely want the Ruby bolts for) - Ice gloves: Speeds up Fareed and Flambeed - Zamorak spear/Dragon spear: Crush attack for Black Golem and TokTz-Ket-Dill. Special (Shove) for Zenevivia (turning it from annoying boss to really easy boss) - Dragonfire shield/Antidragon Shield: Elvarg - (Spec weapon if you have it, bank a Brew for it) - Open space: For all bosses which need a special weapon (ie: Chronozon, Count Draynor [drop a brew for both items and pick up after fight], Pest Queen, Sigmund, TokTz-Ket-Dill, Dagannoth Mother II, Derith & Agrith-Naar) ------------------ Would allow you to get pretty deep in Endurance. Can bank another brew for an Overload if you're planning to go real deep.
  15. 428 bosses and still have never encountered Decaying Avatar. Got it as my 429th boss. Indigestation is definitely quite hard. Don't underestimate it.
  16. They need to make the Dominion weapons stackable in bank ASAP. I would be bummed to have to alch them. Also, do the Class A bosses (apart from Nomad) only appear in higher floors in Climber? From what I've seen redoing first floors for God-knows-how-long you aren't able to get them. What floor do they start appearing in?
  17. So: Gameplay wise: The tower is immensely fun, apart from a few serious handicap bugs. Reward wise: Totally fail. The gloves are nothing to write home about (Goliath only has +1 on Barrows gloves, the other 2 have such little defences you might as well stick to Barrows gloves) and the weapons seem to last too short to do anything. The XP Tome is inefficient. Handicap bugs: These handicaps should NOT be given to the following bosses: - Random freeze - Decaying Avatar - No special attack - Sigmund + Pest Queen - No shield + No potions - Elvarg Any I missed? Proposed reward change: - Make the weapons significantly rarer (maybe add the requirement to tie them only to 10+ Climber/20+ Endurance chests) but make them permanent. - Goliath gloves should have +3 on Barrows. - Swift gloves and Spellcaster gloves need to at least share Goliath's defences. - Spellcaster should have a Magic damage boost akin to Arcane stream. - Reward tomes should at least have 50% more XP added to them, maybe even double what they are now. Add Summoning. ---------- That's what I feel, anyway.
  18. Is there a list somewhere detailing which yields the most gold between returning a pouch to Bogrog (and selling the shards back to pet shop) or selling it on the GE, per pouch?
  19. To be a bit off-topic on the usual Jagex bashing, but am I the only one who's appalled that several designers promised items and/or XP for votes? That goes against everything voting stands for. Voting is done out of accordance or a sign of good work for your votee, not out of the prospect you'll personally get stuff for it. Call Jagex what you want, at least they didn't try to bribe players with rewards.
  20. From what I understood, yes. And the thursday pengs count double. So it's basically 3 weeks worth of penguins in two days.
  21. I'm about to do Troll Invasion for the first time ever. What is best to equip for it? What pots to bring? What familiar? I don't see any recommended equipment on any TI guides which basically left me wary of doing it.
  22. It doesn't matter whether this update made killing Frost dragons more inconvenient. They were so swarmed with bots that it wasn't even doable to kill them anyway. Either: - Don't change mechanics and have them swarmed with bots - making it nigh-impossible for a legit kill. Result: You are not going to kill any frosts. - Make the mechanics much harder to the point that you stop bothering. Result: You are not going to kill any frosts. Seriously, out of ALL the [bleep]ING I heard in this thread, who of you actually spent a reasonable amount of time in the Asgarnian resource dungeon the past month or so (quick hour fresh after update doesn't count). I can assure you this won't be more than 3 people. It's so typical, so RSOF, to whine about content you don't even do to the point that it's absolutely tiring. I came here 5 years ago because it was different from RSOF; more intelligent and interesting discussions. I don't feel that any more. I just find people complaining about everything, clearly playing a game that they claim to not like, developed by people they hate and played by peers that are, by proxy, dumb and ignorant. I quit a while back and came back in September wondering just why I quit in the first place. Now I remember. It's not the bots, it's not the lack of content. It's a userbase that insists on cynisism and pessimism and feels that this has to be shared at any appropiate moment. It's basically just a more eloquent RSOF. And it's just so tiring.
