Why is that?
-
I already use the EEE for Specials.

Considering my stats and lack of anything Chaotic, is it worthwhile to use deflector in stead of a Dragon defender? FYI: Stats: 80 Attack and Strength, 94 Defence, 95 Ranged, 80 Prayer, 92 Constitution, 90 Summoning + overloads.

*Without further ado 'adieu' means goodbye in French. Other than that, yeah.

How is it done fastest and how much xp/hour (and gp/xp) am I looking at here?
-
What would be a fast way to level this from 80-87? I can use virtually anything (even mousekeys).

Dungeoneering rushers, answer me this....

It also helps having a Shadow silk hood, which every self-respecting rusher has bound. -
Ancient thread is ancient (it's almost old enough to equip a Veteran cape). Why was this bumped?

Alas 10 herb runs and nothing returning = 0.9^10 = 0.34867... = 35% chance That doesn't look so bad now does it? It's 10% per patch, or 50 patches, therefore 1-(9/10)^50, which is 99.4% of getting one back by that time, or 0.6% of not. K, thanks.
-
I once did 10 herb runs and did not get seed back (a 0.6% chance). Statistical likelihood doesn't guarantee a goddamn thing, alas.

Ironically, I started writing the guide at 77 Hunter. To be honest, you can always do the <1 minute trick to keep the Oo'glog boost for as long as needed. I'm unsure on Jagex's stance on this, but it has been known for quite a while and I don't recall them ever taking a stance against it. Now, Draconic have a good herb obtainance chance, but I found Common to always be nearly as good for getting herb seeds. Finally, as long as all the prequisites are built, the jadinko will continuously reappear (unless they require the Juju hunter potion), so if you're targetting only one type of jadinko, you might as well pay Papa Mambo to build the habitat and be done with it, the 80 Construction part is mostly for getting the clothes.

I'm looking for the fastest XP per hour Fishing , including all bonuses from special tools (excluding time it takes to get them) but not the Brawlers or D&D's.

So, after seeing how people raged over the Artisan's workshop last week, it got me to wonder: "What is a good Smithing update?" I usually do this to several outdated skills, an effort to see how it is like from a developer's perspective. After thinking long and hard, I got... nothing. I have no idea what a good Smithing update looks like, and I wonder what your ideas are. Let's not forget, people have opinions. Here are several ideas and counter-arguments that frequently pop up. #1: Make untradeable armours for high-level smiths. A: This would turn Smithing in the next Herblore. Topics would frequently pop up whether or not Smithing should be added to your combat level as your armour is better than the opposition's, even if it only becomes important at late levels. It should also be decided whether or not it should be banned from PvP, also ties in with the following idea. #2: Lower existing levels for Rune armour and make higher-tier armour. A: This would turn into Smithing versus Monster Hunting really fast. If the armour was too weak, the upgrade would be considered a failure, if the armour was too strong, several bosses just lost their prime purpose (special note to Nex, maybe the Corporeal Beast and especially General Graardor). #3: It should be like in the olden days, when you could still make money out of skilling. A: The main difference is that there are several more people with 99 Smithing than back then. It's really hard to make something that can be both profitable and useful. In a game where XP is valued the most, the only way things are profitable is if they're either slow, don't get you experience of if they're based on luck. #4: Crank up Smithing to level 120 and make armour in the newly available 21 levels. A: Many would say this simply adds fake longevity by just stretching out a skill for a longer time. Not only that, smithing costs would probably rise because all people with level 99 just realised they need an additional 91 million experience to make the newest tier of armour. So, Tip.it, what's your idea?

I PC for my commendation points, but it's just that I'd rather use barrows gloves for training :x if I don't get a deflector, I'll end up needing to use void gloves which would mean a loss in dps due to the shield slot being fairly moot for range offense. I'm pretty sure you get more out of a deflector if you utilize it for a plate spot such as black dhide or arma. Or Hati paws. Well not this weekend.

The only winning move is not to play. "Yada yada. Worst update ever. Jagex doesn't know it's own game. gg breaking it. Smithing deserved a better update. Whine whine whine whine whine." There, I summed up this thread. Now, I don't give a rat's ass about how you all feel about this and how you think you're wronged. Quiting is always an option, no one's forcing you to like this. But if there's one thing I really hate, is when people ask for advice and a bitter jackass feels obliged thrust their subjective remarks down one's throat. Now, from personal experience: - If you need 4 or higher: Do hard - If you need between 2 and 4: Do medium - If you need 1: Do soft (80% probability to get a 1 from personal experience, very realiable) - If you got turns to spare and only got a few tweaks left: Do careful. The tip of the blade must be handled cautiously. Jam it a few times with the hard option until you get at least 5 or higher, then leave it till the end (if 4, jam it with hard and pray the RNG doesn't decide to give a 5). At 5: Medium At 6: Soft At 7: Careful if turns leftover, otherwise soft You'll most likely botch up if the sword you get has many 4's and 2's, in which case I can guarantee you will not perfect at least 75% of the swords. From personal experience, 1/5 is perfect, 2/5 are 96%+, 3/10 is between 90% and 96% and the odd 1/10 is <90%. Good luck.

Can anyone tell me the best way to get xp/hr (and, by proxy, respect) at a reasonable cost?
-
You get one roughly every 180K experience. I got a lot of randoms the first BXPW when Summoning bonus wasn't nerfed. I think roughly 5 in 45 minute timespan.
-
Can anyone tell me whether respect works as unlock criteria (ie: you have access to all unlocks below your current respect) or as buy criteria (eg: tokens)?
-
Pimp a cannon, you say?

You mean the trapdoor outside? It's for A Void Dance. If you mean the trapdoor inside the hideout, it's for While Guthix Sleeps.

RuneScape reponds very poorly to things for sessions <1 minute. It's so known so far, that I am thoroughly confused whether or not it's genuinely bug abuse or Jagex just decides to let it fly. [/offtopic] Did you know that having a stack Pure essence in the GE bought or cancelled can be used to speed up RC trips for multiple banking. It loads faster and allows you to quickly click your pouches to fill them, just right click the item and select "Withdraw as item".

Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.

I decided to convert from my range gear (which I really didn't care for really except my 125 Promethium arrows p++ from the RC coin abuse days) to Gorg2H, SSH/Platebody, and laws. I have five questions: Can you actually get a Surgebox in Dungeoneering before 70 Dungeoneering? Where/Which clan chat can I go to to get a Promethium platebody? When I would join something a little bit more of pro-DG team, and I need to give the keys to the Keyer, how is it done? Drop in Smuggler room? Teleport to the Keyer and trade? Drop in room? ^ for Keyer's food. If I could join this chat with my 68 DG and complying to the rule that you need to do the last 10 floors large and C1 the rest until you're on f30+, meaning that you people C1 Floors 1-30 whereas I need to start larges at f24, would I need to W117/148 for this? Thanks in advance.
