250K is not the norm, it's the theoretical maximum. It's the equivalent of saying: "getting 100% over your scholarly carreer". Sure, it's possible, but it requires the concentration of a Russian geek playing the world championship of chess, the click-intensity seen in Korean Starcraft conventions and a computer that would put those of NASA's at shame. Of course, I'm over-exaggerating a bit, but still. That's one of the better Draconic jadinko catching spots. With Arctic bear, Zamorak favour, Scentless potions, 5 traps, Witchdoctor and the optional Hunter potion and some luck, up to 200K is definitely possible.

I hope he has a mechanism that allows it to heal off of the players it kills. That would render Nex invincible FOR WEEKS. And I hope he's pile-defensive too, so that simply adding more dakka will be moot.

That's the equivalent of saying "Buying a house is cheap. It's only $300,000. Bill Gates can make that in an hour". You're completely disregarding the process of getting to 100 or 120 DG in the first place. Think my comparison is too farfetched? According to Jagex, there are more than 10M accounts. That means that 0.000027% of the accounts have 120 Dungeoneering. 0.000388% have 100 Dungeoneering. If we consider that there are about 2M actual players, that boils down to 0.000135% for 120 DG, 0.001939% for 100 DG. By comparison, 0.3% of the Americans have a salary of $1,000,000+ a year. There's lots of things I can stand, but spreading false or misconstrued answers isn't one of them.

While most claim Chaotic weaponry or Whip is better, it can be. However, people here are intrinsically forgetting both requirements and defence of enemies to make that statement. BGS is actually useful to me. For Tormented Demons. I am (was) a frequent TD-killer and I was noticing a HUGE difference in damage between BGS and Whip and DHally, both of which fall short of supplying me with the melee offence I needed at TD. DHally didn't hit. At all. Specs were usually 150 damage "behemoths" and didn't even hit 90% of the time. Whip does indeed hit rapidly fast, but when it's only hitting 30% of the time, speed loses its appeal. BGS, which hit about 60% of the time and hits high, was a welcome change. And I don't have the 78/78 Att/Str requirement for Korasi's. Let alone the 80/80 for Chaotic weapons. People are quick to jump and say: "Godswords are useless in all situations", but don't consider people like me who can't wear better alternatives nor do enough damage with the alternatives that are only better at later levels. Of course, you can retort with: "Well, train up noob" (as happened many times before), but that can be applied to EVERYTHING in this game and doesn't help one bit.

That's odd, at the time of writing this I was able to use withered vines to make supercompost. Maybe they changed it?

Let's not forget that several bosses will become considerably less profitable, due to the fact that items no long disappear as they did before. Notably GWD, Dagannoth Kings and TD, all are considered one of the top moneymakers nowadays. There might be a massive rush to Frost dragons due to the crash of these boss-exclusive items. Which might bring the price of FDB down to serve as the new alternative to Dragon bones.

[bleep]ING WINTUMBER TREE

Zaros was a powerful, totalitarian ruler. That doesn't necessitate evil though. Think of a medieval king or emperor. They, too, wanted to rule over as much land as possible, but not necessarily at the expense of the land and its inhabitants. Comparable to Julius Caesar IMO. Here's the entire timeline: 1. Mahjarrat as pulled from Freneskae by Itchlarin. 2. Mahjarrat grow weary under his rule, Zaros tempts them with the promise of war. They happily comply. 3. Zaros takes over (nearly) all of Gielinor. The land under his rule was said to be prosperous and fertile. 4. Several of the Mahjarrat grow tired of the prosperity under Zaros' rule. 5. Spearheaded by Zamorak, a plan for betrayal is forged. 6. Though sheer stroke of luck, Zamorak attains the Staff of Armadyl. 7. Zamorak heads to Zaros' castle, along with his allies Hazeel, Viggora, Drakan, Thammaron and Zemouregal. Lucien hid himself. 8. Zamorak creeps up on Zaros and sticks the spear to his back. Zaros, enraged, turns around and tries to strangle Zamorak. 9. Zaros slips and drives the spear through both him and Zamorak, there's a sudden flash. The Stone of Jas may have been involved. 10. Both disappear. Viggora finds himself fading from existance through the curse uttered by Zaros. 11. Zamorak returns, now a God. 12. Zamorak rewards his allies. Hazeel gets what is currently known as Ardougne, Drakan gets Hallowvale. 13. Zamorak starts the God Wars. Armadyl and Saradomin see this as a good time to reobtain some control. Bandos sees this as a good time to kick some ass. 14. All of Zaros' former troops are eradicated or hidden. 15. God wars rage. 16. Guthix wakes up, stops the war. Forced the Gods to never again directly interfere with the world. .... 17. Player finds Zaros artefacts. 18. Player re-awakens Azzanadra. 19. Azzanadra gets in contact with Zaros. Now, what I think is most likely to happen is that Zaros returns just in time for the Ritual. You, being the ONLY person to know of the Ritual without needing to attend it (assuming Ali the Wise is Wahisietel in disguise) are most likely to do covert ops. Lucien, being smack-dab in the middle of the fued between Zaros and Zamorak will not bode well. In fact, I'm almost certain he's going to be one of two Mahjarrat that'll die.

Speaking of misconceptions, the Guthixian edicts have nothing to do with balance between the two factions. The edicts forbid direct intervention in Runescape by a god, in an effort to prevent another God War. Has nothing to do with humans or mortals at all unless they're trying to bring a god back into this plane (see: Azzandra, Bilrach). That's odd, considering the one time Guthixian edicts are mentioned ingame, it's when the royal advisor in Varrock forbids intervention in Burgh de Rott due to setting off the Edicts. This had nothing to do with Saradomin or Zamorak directly intervening, but simply crossing the River Salve by a Varrockian army. What you are mentioning is a law Guthix imposed on other Gods, but it's not the Edict of Guthix.
-
The chronology of release is the same as the order they're discussed in the BTS. So first Dwarves, then GWD update and final update of the month being the Hati wolf.
-
Seems quite a few misconceptions here. The Guthixian edicts denounce that if perfect balance is broken between the two factions (those being Saradomin and Zamorak), Guthix would basically hit the big reset button and totally reshape the lands with entire disregard of anyone or anything in it. That being said, back to Zaros. Zaros is not, nor was he ever, the god of evil. He has, however, quite some traits that wouldn't be very kosher. He took the Mahjarrat under his wing by promising war, while his army was said to consist of the dragon riders, demons and others.
-
Zaros specializes in Magic? Since when? From what I got from the lores, the ancient magicks are more related to the Mahjarrat at large than Zaros. Azzanandra just gave us a Mahjarratian toy to play with. Zaros has only been displayed as former ruler of Gielinor, commanding armies of Mahjarrat, Dragon riders and other nasties. Nowhere is it mentioned he was a magicks lover.

Proper prayer switching is crucial and takes priority over all other things (Protect Prayer switch > Eating > Weapon switch > Pots > Dmg boost prayer). My bet is that you haven't mastered it yet.

Common jadinkos have, so far, proved to be the most reliable source of Herb seeds. Protection is really up to you, I didn't do it because I have a relatively large stack of herb seeds. However, with 3x blue blossoms as payment, which typically take about 5 minutes each to grow, 15 minutes for the entire batch (supercompost should be used), it's for yourself to determine whether you can earn more than 1 Ugune seed per 15 minutes. If you can, it's not efficient to payment, if you can't, use payments.

I can't see this being feasible (for P2P). Reasons being: 1) Prices have changed. Laws and natures aren't worth what they were back in 2007. 2) The number of Runecrafters has exponentially increased. 3) ZMI, due to its very nature, doesn't respond well to the idea of running. As I recall, people didn't run essence back when there was free trade, why would they now? 4) The only 2 runes that respond well to the idea of running aren't realistic. We have Death runes, requiring the MEP2 quest, and Bloods, requiring the Vampyre3 quest. Running, which is mostly done by newbies, isn't very realistic when it requires 2 quests with (relatively) high requirements of Agility to reach. Also guys, there's a good chance we'll see a huge deflation with free trade. After all, with it comes the removal of one of the biggest source of gold entering the game (PvP Statuettes).

[bleep]ing around in the registry is best left undone unless you have a knack for IT.

If you don't keytweak, you're stuck using the 2 and 5 keys as they appear on your numpad. You can't remap mousekeys.

Actually, you can see the requirements for other god jadinkos if you already got one before. What I noticed, though, is that messages won't reappear (ie: You've gotten # requirements for X jadinko!) except those that indicate that you've found all requirements and that the god Jadinko has appeared. Also, the tree requirement is the same for each god jadinko every week. And, TBH, you really need to invest in 80 construction. Or at least pot to it. Or find someone to assist it (yes, it can be assisted). All in all, the god section needs some rewriting.

Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
Unknown_Warrior replied to Jimmyw3000's topic in General Discussion
Having finally laid at rest that there's little I can do to oppose this, it's making room for the contentment I'll feel when people get what they want and realise what a vile and crude thing 2007 actually was. People have been glorifying free trade and old Wilderness like hell these past 3 years, even the people who haven't or hardly experienced it. Just you wait when those glorious days weren't as glorious as they were called. United community? I recall a community where people avidly cheered on hostile random events to kill people just so they could snatch their armour. PKing as it should? 90% of the PKing in the Wilderness consisted of killing defenceless people. Merchanting as it should? Enjoy your autotalkers or cramped fingers as people continuously repeat line after line ad nauseum to sell that Barrows armour they bought for 100K cheaper than they're advertising it. Correct prices? GE is the most correct price you can find, people were almost always over- or undercharging their products, don't expect skilling items to suddenly be affordable again. Actual risk? The only risk in 2007 was an artificially player-created risk that took advantage of newcomers' naivity and ignorance; don't honestly expect that this will breed a happier, more connected community. Oh, I can't wait to see. -
Land of the Goblins extra prayer xp
Unknown_Warrior replied to CowsEatFood's topic in Help and Advice
Good job mindlessly droning the miniquest in general and not paying attention to the actual question. "In an update on or before December 19th, 2010, Strongbones stopped dropping his bone and instead, after defeating him, he would concede defeat and answer questions like in the Land of the Goblins Quest. This happens even if the player wears nothing at all. This glitch has yet to be fixed. " Glitch it seems. -

You can gripe and complain for 3 years until you get your way if you'd like ;) My single entity sadly doesn't have as much an impact as that of a large group whose collective IQ is comparable to what's found in a household fishtank. That's why I have legal rights to fall back on. -

Amen. What I find more distressing is how people can (and already have) used MY username to vote for something WITHOUT my consent. I am thoroughly, thoroughly pissed about it. Maybe I can find a legal footnote to get the entire petition voided, can anyone check whether you can actually press charges against these kinds of petitions? :D -

Or because it isn't a real one. Further so since you don't actually need to log in to "vote". I know someone put my screenname on that voting site without my consent, I'm actually quite pissed about it. -

The problem is, the Wilderness has, these past 3 years, been updated with relative safety in mind. Consider these: Chaos tunnels entrances are all in Wilderness. Running from Edge to the nearest rope can be a potential PK camping spot. Corporeal Beast's dungeon is in Wilderness. It needs high level gear (or mass amounts of people) to be killed. Both liked by PK'ers. 2 Minigames in Wilderness. 2.5 Quests in Wilderness. (Both Summer quests, Defender of Varrock, Temple at Senntisten, WGS [bork] all require at least partially wilderness) Commonpalace Armoured zombie training says bye. These need to be thoroughly considered. -
Extremely expensive items vs. free trade
Unknown_Warrior replied to green9090's topic in General Discussion
But the Divine will probably rocket. Have none of you considered: A) The CB'ds dungeon is in the wilderness. You know, the jolly old place people could kill each other in. B) CB has a relatively high kill rate, so frequent running between CW-Dungeon might be expected. C) You need good gear to kill CB Good chance camping outside its lair will be new favourite of PvP clans. The GE was in effect 2-4 weeks before the restrictions were introduced. Nothing was different, other than a set price (GE standard) was a recommended price back then.
