Dungeoneering Journals - *I Need Your Help!*
Unknown_Warrior replied to jjjon123's topic in General Discussion
Speaking of, why IS there a FOG token in deep dungeons? -
Remember the days when people just played games for fun instead of [bleep]ing about them on the internet? I'm finding it increasingly harder to remember, sadly.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!

One step closer to untrimmed RC cape. -
Bushes - Same as bushes elsewhere (2.5 hours IIRC) Herbs - Same as herbs elswhere (~75 minutes) Trees - Same as trees elsewhere Flowers - ~15 minutes

I think you need a minimum of 5 people. Fml. Make 4 dummy accounts.

Yes to bug abuse. One was recently with Herblore Habitat's release. You could withdraw more potions from the Leprechaun than you actually had in, as long as you had one in (eg: Withdraw 25 Juju farming pots when you actually had 1/30 Stored, just needed to use Withdraw-X). I was very tempted to get me a lifetime of Juju farming pots that way, but I reported the bug and resisted the temptation to abuse it for the week until it was fixed by next update's Patch notes. The other was RuneTek5 which allowed you to drop Destroy-only items. I have to admit I did abuse that.
-
So what are you suggesting? The only way Abyss works in that regard is because they added an element of danger with the possibility that you will lose all your items? How will you emulate that feeling without jeopardising the actual content?
-
"Good suggestion" is a subjective. Forcing people to do everything in groups changes this game radically. Too radically. There's already a large enough userbase that feels strongly against DG and it forcing people to team in order to get a decent amount of XP. You're basically asking Jagex to completely reinvent the entire game for 24/25 skills, and not even guaranteeing that people will enjoy the change. There's a huge probability (especially in RuneScape) that every change to something existing will be met with a huge pile of disgust and will very likely make a large group of people quit the game entirely. It's a poor suggestion. Jagex took 3 months to make restricted trade somewhat comparable to free trade. And by comparison, that change isn't even half as radical as what you are suggesting. Have you stopped and thinked how the general demograph is going to respond to that change? RuneScapers are generally not open-minded people. EDIT: All you need is a hub and the same software to coordinate multiple computers to do a group effort. There, I made a bot suggestion for your "solution". It's not even that hard to design.
-
Idealism vs Cynicism argument again. *Yawn.* [/25,871st thread] "Omg Jagex needs to up their anti-botting" "How do" "Just do" also "World peace" "How do" "Just do" Yadayadayada.

Ugune and Marble Vines... I seriously don't know how to better explain it than I did in guide, but here goes: - Catch herb-yielding Jadinko's until you get an Ugune seed - Plant the Ugune seed in either of the vine herb patches - Come back 1.5 hour later to harvest (warning: they can die just like normal herbs). - Plant a Lergberry bush, Orange tree seed, Blue flowers and build a Thermal vent (all seeds can be found by catching jadinko's) - Catch Igneous jadinko's in the southern area with Marasaw box-traps - Put the Ugune in a Juju vial potion of water(bough from Papa Mambo), add the Marble vines from catching the jadinko's. - Juju farming potions

I've had it on non-stop the past 3 months except: - During Do No Evil when I was forced to use ancients. - During Puro-puro impling hunting

First of all, wrong forum mate. Secondly, why start training DG after you lose membership? Also, why start training AFTER getting 90 combat? You do know that DG xp is halved in F2P for people with 90+ combat, right?
-
Better yet, there's an XP increase. Saradomin's favour potion (made with Samaden and Saradomin vine) gives +10% Farming xp within the area, and will apply to everything planted there, not just the things needed for the activity. Drinking a sip will get you 10% more XP from any fruit tree you plant there.

Uber cape: Quests, Music and Skills maxed. Enhanced/Trimmed/Complete Uber cape: The former + 300 MA rank, 1250 Conquest rank, full Armour box+Magic Wardrobe, Vengeance group, Max Chompy, finished Statue of Dahmarrok, full banner of Champions, Gavel, Champion's tackle box, Bones to peaches, Taskmaster emote, lvl 5 Healer/Attacker/Defender/Collector BA (, Castle wars professional cape) Seems like a fair way to handle it. Also, good luck with that.

Combination runecrafting requires you to use Magic Imbue (level 82, Lunar's), a Binding necklace, Pure essence, a large number of Air/Water/Earth runes and the corresponding talisman. If all of these are present you can use the elemental talisman you have on the Fire altar to make a bunch of Smoke/Steam/Lava runes. Ideally, you wear a Ring of Duelling to teleport you from Duel Arena (freakishly close to the Fire altar), where you Runecraft, to Castle wars, where you bank. Also, a Fire tiara to actually get in the altar. If you don't have Magic Imbue, you will lose the talisman each time. If you don't have a Binding necklace you will only succeed in making combination runes half the time. Strictly speaking, Lava runes are more xp/hour but at a tremendous cost. Steam runes are slightly less xp but can be sold for considerably more. Do note that Magic Imbue lasts a very short while (15 seconds IIRC). I know from experience that if you can't use Mousekeys, that emptying all pouches and a familiar is very hard within that timeframe. There's no room for error. I think it's about 35K xp/hr.

I was of the same mentality earlier. I only did DG for the odd rewards (Gem bag, Scroll of life and cleansing) and thought I had it over by then. However, after learning the damage potential for Chaotics, I dragged myself to get about 65 DG after which I started teaming and learned how surprisingly fun it can be. I'm now going for, at least 85 on my own accord. tl;dr: Don't do anything rash, you might find yourself in DGS in week spamming "Ne1 hosting abs?".

RuneScape Death Mechanics - Let's speculate
Unknown_Warrior replied to Assume Nothing's topic in General Discussion
On the other hand, there's no reason to not bring them to any high-end Ranging now. -

In a last bid effort to save itself from sucking, it killed itself in QA. A moment of silence please... Remember when BTS 2008 was released with the DevBlog justifying the removal of Free Trade & Wilderness? It had concept art of Lucien. Meaning that, at the very least, from that point till November WGS was worked on. How long since ROTM's been announced? I have time. -

"Please note that the death mechanic used in the Wilderness and other dangerous PvP activities will not be changing from how it currently is, other than that your most valuable items will be decided by their Grand Exchange guide price, not their alch value." Reading thoroughly has its merits. -

Read closely. Items kept will now be decided by their GE value rather than the Alch value. So you'll keep the Fury/BCP/etc you'd lose otherwise. -
RS.Wiki says no.

Did... did I just bomb armoured monsters with a seagull, did a game of actual Battleship AND wet willied a severed head? It's official, this is definitely one of my favourite quests in the game. A refreshment after all the (overtly) dramatic quests as of late.

I guess. I see so many posts here regarding what I need to do when ranging, even though I have a far easier time with the ranging parts of TD than with the melee parts, seeing as it takes me about twice as long whipping as it takes me crossbowing, so I'm used to invest my spare items in upping my attack bonuses as much as possible. I will consider Karil's next trip, though.
