  1. An adze solves your mining rock problem no? You might as well bring a Rune pickaxe, which has the same weight and same power but doesn't require you to relight all beacons to reobtain. Alternatively, the Mithril pickaxe weighs less (1.8kg compared to 2.2kg) for roughly the same effect while being even cheaper.
  2. Why did you even bring an Adze? As far as I remember (and I don't think it changed), you will always appear in the Abyss near either a gap (Agility) or some rock obstacles (Mining). There is never need for any other tool.
  3. Usually I did my 30 minutes of triple charms when I was doing a Waterfiend task. However, I was wondering if there are better (ie: faster) methods of obtaining charms at my levels. 79 Attack 78 Strength 94 Defence 91 Constitution 94 Ranged 89 Magic 78 Prayer 88 Summoning I have access to overloads, cannon, all barrow sets (bar Dharok/Guthan), full Armadyl/Bandos and the EEE.
  4. I'm thinking of doing a major update this weekend or next week, as I have the week off next week. Thanks for all the compliments and collected data so far, though.
  5. I'm getting 18K (or more) GOP tablets which will then be traded in for Blood altar tabs. I will then ZMI. Hoping for at least 500K rc xp in the weekend.
  6. Yet you can't tell, can you? All we know is that it'll improve Bork trips, Barrows, Kingly impling (looting), Pyramid plunder AND provide Teleports. For that reason alone it's very worth looking into, as all five aforementioned things are done often. The bonus of high-level drops just makes it better.
  7. About the Smithing update, players seem to have the tendency to overhype things then blame Jagex when it falls short to their expections. Like earlier last week when the Wildywyrms update came about and everyone was hyping it as if it were "THE" High-level content Slayer update with mass speculation what their exclusive and elusive drop would be... when Jagex only posted a picture. However, again, we do not know what this update will bring and I will therefore not judge it in advance. Making presumptions is stupid, hyping it is pre-emptive. All we know so far is that it'll offer training methods for Smithing (and contrary to popular believe in this board, training methods aren't always contrary to what people want, implying so is rather conceited and arrogant just because you have pumped millions in the skill). We also know that this will jazz up, maybe even improve, the Dwarven cannon. Which all the efficiency 'scapers love to bits like a fat kid loves cake, so it's hard to miss the mark on that one either way. So we also know the update won't be void of rewards. Again, I'm not expecting personal, customisable armour with this update, but I am left in eager to see if Jagex will add any more special rewards, which they often do. And Jagex also didn't say this will be THE Smithing update either, just an update that will have a major effect on it, which it might have. We might still see a High-level Smithing update further down the road. Perhaps I'm alone in this, but I try to see the beauty and potential in every update, even if I'm not always gonna partake in them.
  8. I'll stay positive, I'ml especially hopeful for the RoW update. Maybe I should refrain from killing the Kalphite Queen till it hits, and every little bit helps at getting a DFH.
  9. Even better when you realise he added a [sic] to 'recognised' even when that is proper English (just not American English). I can only conclude he's either a troll or not worth being paid for.
  10. So I've been farming Snapdragon since a little prior to the announcement of the BXW, now I've farmed little over 560 of them (massive profits). Now, my question is whether I should bother cleaning them and grinding them into vials of water and get the 10% bonus of scroll of cleansing, or should I just sell them as grimy?
  11. So I got a 200 Nechryael task and I'm looking to keep the ashes (not in the urns), and I was wondering if there's a feasible way to do this without a Pack Yak. Thanks in advance.
  12. Luckily I got 91 herblore this January so I have no need at all for herb supplies. Furthermore, I bet I can sell these snaps even at higher profits. God these are awesome. I'll go do hardcore GOP and get large number of blood rune tabs, then I'll ZMI. Since the Summoning nerf, it's the only skill I need to train (apart from DG, but doing that one during weekend is a waste anyway).
  13. I seriously wasn't expecting this at all. Oh well, Dragon chainbody, dragon arrows, dragon darts, Dragon claws and Dragon full helm ( :wall: ) till I DIY'd, and am in possession of, all dragon equipment.
  14. I wasn't expecting this when I went to Chaos Elemental for a quick kill. 23 February 2011
  15. Up to date Revenant guide, Chaos Elemental guide, K'ril Tsutsaroth guide, Mithril dragon guide, Alternative dungeoneering guide. Et cetera.
  16. I think Lucien will die in a crossfire between a revived Zaros and Zamorak. Considering he's in the exact same position Zamorak was, with Zaros pounding on him because he's trying to imitate what made him fall, and Zamorak pounding on him due to his near betrayal. Other than that, I can't actually imagine any kind of major fight, just a lot of tension as you're probably forced to do fieldwork while all Mahjarrat attend the get-together.
  17. 1) Yes, the mask is solely decided by god jadinkos while the clothes are by catching the normal jadinkos, there's no reason why you can't get both. 2) Common + Draconic jadinkos.
  18. 50% each. You just got very unlucky there.
  19. Any tips for a Ranged-centric build?
  20. Any way to feasibly (ie: No Ancient armour, Sigil shields, PvP armour) get >240 crush defence, >230 ranged defence and >100 magic defence at once?
  21. Trade off: The first day of me returning to RS (February 5th), 3 people tried to scam me. I voted no, but alas.
  22. What I wonder is how Extremes will be integrated with other aspects unfortunately located in the wild. Will KBD slayers (how little there may be) or Chaos Tunnel slayers not be permitted to take extremes because they're forced to briefly spend time in the Wilderness? And if they aren't, how will those leaving said areas under the effects of an extreme? Are they forced to stay in until their potion wears off? And, to be honest, the entire point of not being able to see Herblore's effects is totally [cabbage]. Rings can't be seen worn, so therefore those wearing a Berserker ring are fundamentally cheating as well (if we're going with this "not able to notice warrants ban" ideology). Furthermore, INVENTORIES SHOULD BE BANNED. As, of course, if I can't see that my opponent has Dragon claws in his inventory, he can whip it out and charge an attack before I have the chance to react on it. Banning extremes is fundamentally flawed. If you want Wilderness your way, then you should take it and everything nasty with it. Skillers have to endure remarks from PKers that the new (or old?) wilderness is good and they have to endure to new risk that comes with it. Why can't that be said in reverse? Why can't skillers force extremes on PK'ers like PK'ers can force PvP risk on skillers? It's nothing more than catering to the crybabies, which is my pet peeve in regards to Jagex. Disclaimer: In this post, skiller denotes person using non-combat skills, not the elitist "I hate combat" variant.
  23. Yet this time they won't be abusable. I'd rather they removed them entirely. There is NO reason to keep them in the game, surely the prospects of Ancient armour and brawlers is incentive enough to hunt these Revenants? We do not need the equivalent of 1000 free high-level alchs in drops.
  24. One of the few reasons I could think of why the return of free trade would actually be a good thing was the removal of statuettes and its large influx of coins entering the game... and they're keeping them in?
