The Chaos Elemental is a very defunct monster to be fighting nowadays. I'll begin by saying that with its best drop of D2H, you won't find it profitable to be killing the CE. To answer your question, I'd suggest against using melee on the CE. As you know, it does teleport you randomly and unequipps your items at random intervals during battle. Basically, without pies/sara brews you'd be wasting alot of time getting hit and re-equipping your gear one by one. To brew when hit, and then drink a super attack/strength to hit effectively on the CE's high def while running up to it each time is a hassle indeed. The best approach would be to range it, where you use Ruby Bolt (e) to bring down its HP quickly, and to finish it off with Diamond Bolts (E). You can attack from a distance, so you don't need to run up to it each time and you can range pot each time so you don't need to be packing a pure set each time you want to get peak performance of your attack style. So overall, I'd suggest against using melee, as range seems the more hassle free and viable option to pick. But altogether, don't CE if you're looking for profit, but more as a fun factor. And I'm going to go on a limb here about the drop rate of the D2H, but it's not a common drop. It's not an incredibly rare drop either, so I'd say the drop rate varies from 1:300 - 1:500.

Not really, a few 10 year olds complained about not being able to properly humiliate their opponent by swearing at them. The rest of us praised the censor, pointing to youtube comments as an example. I wish it was still around, but no sense crying over spilled milk. The previous censor was far to sensitive to be left implemented into the game. Normal words even started becoming censored in Jagex's crusade to rid Runescape of all possible words and combinations of them. If you're going to feel bothered or irritated by a bunch of kids spamming "[wagon]" and "damn", you should realize that there's a reason why Jagex decided to give you an ignore list and a report button. Muggiwhplar is a player who knows all too well the devastating effects of Ahrim in the wilderness. If you'd be so kind to show the above person the GIF animation that I've seen around here, then maybe you'd open up his eyes to the potential of Ahrims. Kind of going off topic here, but to answer some inquiries here about the usefulness of the Ahrim Hood/Staff, it's only good in the set effect. Farseer helm provides the same mage attack bonus as the Ahrim Hood, and is non degradable, so don't make the mistake on that one. There's also some better weapon slot equippables that trump the Ahrim Staff too, so outside of the set effect the hood and the staff are basically defunct items.

What seems to be the problem here is that you're ignorant to what your brother thinks. Respect his opinion because his taste in music does not adversely affect you. What does opening his eyes to different music styles have to do with his taste? Just like he doesn't enjoy the harder metal type of music, you will dislike music genres such as Country (I don't know you, so I don't know if you like Country or not, it's just an example :lol:) As I continually try to stress in the music sub-forum, there are different music styles suited for different types of people. I for one am suited towards the R&B and popularized music, but I've adapted in such a way where a little bit of each music finds its way onto my iPod :mrgreen: There's been so much mud-slinging in this forum where people automatically assume that their own style of music reigns supreme over the others, but that's the wrong and ignorant ideal. Again, be mature and don't try to force your brother or anyone else for that matter because your perceptions of taste in music is completely different.

The media is a lot of things. If you dislike media, then you basically dislike music, television, and all forms of entertainment. Having a little media in your life is healthy, it keeps you updated with the world but then again you need to practice balance, as with all things. I would probably say setting your house up at Taverly, using a house teleport, exiting then running to that quest site with that ladder then using a ring of duelling is the fastest way.

So many ways to interpret your thread. Care to give us a few examples? I did, except that everyone started talking about chicken and turned it into an animal rights thread. An example could be on not as a bigger scale as a vow may seem, but more over as say, a simple promise could be. Say you promise not to eat ice cream, yet succumb to its delicious and creamy goodness. What where your thoughts and feelings throughout that especially if and when you've taken so much time to stray away from what you've been preventing yourself from. I'd rather not use my own personal exemplar as you can see because even though I've edited my original post, people continue to talk about chicken :cry:

Although I do agree, you're knowledge of P2P shields are limited because you're F2P. You need to balance both defence and offensive stats when fighting, and uses of them are limited in different scenarios. You need to learn how to incorporate different uses of equipment depending on what you're fighting in order to optimize your training.
