  1. It looks pretty good for a quick painting. The only thing that stands out at me that needs improvement is the microphone. It looks rather flat. Maybe if you curved the little holes in the mic, or whatever the black lines are, it could give it the feel of depth. Also, her neck looks like it has been pushed over to the left (left meaning if you were standing behind her, her left shoulder). This may just be the vantage point though.
  2. The chawan or teabowl is a vessel used in the japanese tea ceremony. The one I made would be called a yunomi as it is a rough bowl meant for drinking the tea out of. I created this teabowl from a medium brown colored stoneware, the unfired clay is similar to a dark wheat color and almost orangish brown. I threw a fistsized lump of clay on the wheel, centered it and made a cylinder. Once I did that, I pulled clay from the bottom where it was thicker to pull out clay from the bottom and even out the walls. I made the walls roughly 2/8ths to 3/16ths inches thick. I made the belly wide first, then tapered the ends in slightly. Once this was done, I removed it from the wheel and once at the leather-hard stage, I trimmed the bottom to make a slight foot. I also cleaned up any fatness at the bottom to make it taper down to the ground. At this stage, I also checked the top to make sure it was round. After I was through trimming this, it went into the kiln for a bisque firing. Once it was out of the kiln and cooled, I glazed it with a temmoku, leech white, tomato red, keator saturated iron and yellow salt by dipping it into the buckets of the glazes. Then it went in to a glaze firing at cone 10. And, this is the finished bowl. That is the teabowl I made. The opening lip is 3 1/2", the base is 2" and the overall height is 3 1/2" I have thrown 33 others like this one with varying sizes and glazes.
  3. Besides, it is faster to do the box since you stick closer to the banker. And, you can keep yourself entertained by switching things up and amusing yourself.
  4. if you join #TTFS, you have to be on the server irc.swiftirc.net If using mIRC just type in the following below: /server -m irc.swiftirc.net
  5. It hasn't quite been mentioned, the introduction of rare items.
  6. They could say due to player demand, they are now reimplementing the BTS.
  7. Wow, congratulations nje :D I still haven't worked up the nerve to go for it :P
  8. I believe he threatened to sue the editor, not tipit.
  9. That is amazing. Simply amazing. Your video was fine, I didn't notice any major problems with the editing at all. As a suggestion, I would include a picture of the completed work on the front page, just for people who can't view the video. It has a very whimsical feel, and is quite amusing to view. There is little feedback that I could give on what to improve on. Just a curiosity, do you have a tablet? Or is all the shading and filling in stuff by mouse?
  10. How about for the imp in combat, if you are getting low on health, it will teleport your enemy to a random location kind of near by. Like how imps do.
  11. I actually really like this idea. I support.
  12. From the amount of money Jagex makes from subscriptions, the stores and advertisements, the amount of people buying membership for a month to get a cape would barely register on a graph. They wouldn't loose "alot of money".
  13. God this would be so helpful. I really hope they implement this.
  14. Something that was said about the official forum suggestion long ago.
  15. Forum Name:Moonshadow Runescape Name:Oylimpiana Name to use on picture: Runescape name Picture: http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/2982/mycharjb3.png Is his pose OK? Or do I need to move it so he is facing straight.
  16. It's a valid thread. It still makes sense and applies to today's runescape. As for making them public, I think this goes against Jagex's privacy policy where all the actions are between the player and Jagex. It would be a double standard for jagex to do this.
  17. It's his job. He HAS the time. Now if he got sick or something...then its understandable. He probably has more pressing issues in is work than answering the thousands of questions he is getting asked.
  18. To add to the GE box thing, I feel it would be quite nice to have 4 GE slots. Maybe if it was moved to 4/10 for GE. We get 4 slots, members end up getting 10 slots. My little list of wants (in no particular order) More ge slots Skillcapes Rings of dueling Something to make runecrafting a little more interesting, perhaps adding onto the runecrafting guild so there is more to the guild besides the minigame. Something in the guild that helps us gain runecrafting exp faster without use of minigame tokens. Snare, and the wave class spells. Hell, maybe the teleother spells. Some better monsters to train on to yeild higher exp rates in melee. 30k exp an hour on spiders seems rather slow :\. Maybe some better pvm weapons? A weapon with a special would be nice. Crossbows for ranged. And the ability to smith bolts. Just normal bolts, not the enchanted gem studded ones
  19. Yay for the foxytunes button. ---------------- Now playing: Ra - Fallen Angels via FoxyTunes
  20. For apparate, how about you have to have a setpoint to apparate there. You set t he point by actually going there and casting a beacon spell (add that in there if you take this suggestion). The beacon spell is the same level as apparate, and you can only cast the spell every 15 minutes. The first time you use the apparate spell, you will go right to that beacon 100% chance of teleporting to your beacon. Second time is within 5 spaces 90% of going to your beacon, third 10 spaces, 80% chance of going to your beacon, fourth within 15 spaces, 75% chance of going to your beacon, fifth will have a 50% chance of going within the 15 spaces of the beacon, 50% chance of going somewhere random, and from fifth and on the chance for going to the beacon dwindles until 10 teleports it just makes you go a random place with a chance of magical damage. Super apparate is the same, but the chances of failure are lower and you can have more casts before you have complete fails. Does this seem a little more balanced.
  21. Le gasp, not a pixel avatar! I have a placement for the text (lower left on the third line), but I have no idea what font to use, what color or how to fit it in.
  22. I think the 10 second video advertisement is quite silly and rather annoying. I really hope they never come back.
  23. If it is a F2P skilling clan you are after, TFS is possibly the most well known and largest F2P skiller clan with one of the friendliest atmospheres. If you intend on staying f2p and want to be part of a relaxed and laid back clan, then this is the one for you. T.F.S. Forums T.F.S. Memberlist The Total F2p Skillers - T.F.S. [hide=General Information]We are a F2p skiller clan! We participate in clan wars, firefests, and other events. We do NOT force the members of the clan to attend at an Event. We are a friendly clan and our goal is to have fun and be fair to eachother. T.F.S is F2p only because the founder and the leaders have been friends for a long time and have always been F2p and will probably always be thats why we can't be members too, we can't make any members events. We do not look for more and more members or the best of the best skillers, we look for friendly active F2p RuneScape Players, no matter Combat level and the requirments are pretty low. T.F.S Founder: Mad Jon (Mad Det5, In-game) T.F.S Leader: Scruffyo99 (Scruffyo99, In-game) T.F.S Leader: Bini (Eminem777, Mr Bini, In-game)[/hide] [hide=Requirements]The basic requirement(s) to join The Total F2P Skillers are: 1. You may never have been a member, What is 100% F2p? 2. You must register on the clan forum to be able to post. As far as skills go... Note: If I simply say, for example, 500+, it refers to 500+ total. (Only need one of these to qualify, not all.) 1. One 90+ Non-combat Skill 2. Two 80+ Non-combat Skills 3. Three 70+ Non-combat Skills 4. Four 60+ Non-combat Skills 5. Five 50+ Non-combat Skills 6. 500+ Non-Combat related Total level 1. - 3. Should not include Cooking or Firemaking. 6. Should not include level 1 Skills aka Member skills. General Kindness. Active on the forums. Attends to Clan Events.[/hide] [hide=Picture Gallery] [/hide]
  24. Just a little tidbit, don't erase your previous works. It is nice to see how you've progressed in the project.
  25. It looks like you did actually attempt to put detail and work into this piece. You show good thinking in the shading of him, however, it is hard to do outlines in black on an image so small. On small work like avatars, I prefer to forgo black lines. Here is some list of things to improve on. I don't want to phrase these into sentences since I feel list form will be a bit more effective. His pose is a little boring The tree is a bit wide and fat, look at some real trees. Look at this tree for some reference. Along with the width of the trunk, the greenery looks like a big green blob. Try to avoid general stereotypes and symbols of what trees are like, look at details of the trees and draw from those. The cloud needs a bit of work. Try looking to what uno does, or for clouds, I like to use three basic colors. A shadow, a midtone and a highlight. For the grass, don't use one base color mainly and two highlights and shadow strokes just randomly around. Use a base color, but don't have it the dominant color. For his skin and expression, I think his face is a little too round and his hair seems like it is just a flat coloration of his skin. Hair is raised up, but in such a small image, you might not see that, so I may be wrong on this one. Also, he has some pretty big honking shoulders and little ity bitty arms. But, anatomy is tricky.
