Yeah, I found some of it hard (and by the way, the game itself is fine, as some people have said). Then again, there are codes you can enter to get into each "episode" -- that is, if you, like me, are a big cheater.

I don't know, I find them sort of entertaining.

Everything I've seen Christopher Lee in as a bad guy was good (not that I've seen a great many films with him in, I suppose). I think the quality he brings to things is a sense of class and, more importantly, dignity... and a deep voice.

Of course, all the other thousands of year old books and texts are wrong, mind.

Ahem, I can field that one: see, there's this little gnome... Anyway, I agree -- just because you say* something happens or has happened, doesn't mean it does / has, or that people should believe it. *one says, rather -- not getting at anyone in particular here.

I think I might stop pirating things. I'd certainly buy myself a fancy new computer -- basically, I'd spend as much money as one can reasonable spend on a computer (so nothing that's just gimmicky or useless, but everything else). I'd get fancy sound. I'd also buy a huge set of reference books. Maybe also a large selection of juggling balls. All that'd probably be < ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã10,000, I suppose. I can't really think of anything that else I want that can be bought, however. I don't really want a fancy house or car, and I don't have any particular desire to spend lots of money on a holiday.

I wouldn't listen to Pink Floyd on bad earphones, but then, I wouldn't listen to any music on bad earphones. I say bad: really bad, such as those that come free with stuff -- not the same bad that some speaker elitist might mean. If anything, something link this (Pink Floyd music) should be more acceptable with poor sound quality -- it being more than just constant screaming and incredibly fast drumming, which sounds terrible on most earphones (not just because it sounds terrible in any speakers at all, either). I've got reasonable earphones (I think, anyway: Shure E2c), but they're not as good sound quality as my speakers at home. Still, I sometimes hear new things in the music because of the change in quality.

What makes people feel the need to provide plausible physical explanations for miracles? Why not just accept that they didn't happen? (Or, of course, that they did, if you swing that way).

Ahahaha. I thought, when I saw the title, that this was going to be a discussion about whether or not there are, say, hidden races that are either so far under the sea that we have yet to encounter them, or so advanced that they avoid our notice through means of clocking fields, or something.

...Similarly, people call human cities unnatural, but gloss over the buildings and colonies that animals make. I'm not exactly an animal rights activist, and it doesn't keep me up at nights... however, I don't agree with harming things unnecessarily -- be they human or otherwise.

I don't know, it wasn't my idea -- it wasn't developed further than that in Futurama. About people getting more intelligent, though: I doubt incest is going to suddenly become popular -- also it'd be a slow process of people happening to pick slightly cleverer people than before, and so forth.

I suppose we'd get a bit cleverer and perhaps look a little different through the more successful of us (in whatever way) breeding more. I don't really see our having to adapt to the environment happening much. Now, if only the aliens would come down and force the most intelligent of us to pair off and mate continuously (I'm paraphrasing -- I don't consider myself on of those who would be forced into mating) -- that'd speed things up a bit.

No: it's taken as read in most places. I don't love my country. As Anaesthesia said, I like it, and I'm glad I'm from here (though there are other places in the world I wouldn't mind living, of course). I suppose I'm proud of certain aspects of the place... but then, people from all places have things to be proud of, and I don't see that I'm any more patriotic than anyone else.

I'm all for ending womens' suffrage. Women don't deserve all the suffrage they have to put up with! (I do know what it means).

If I did come up with some really fancy meaningful words, I bet I'd say them, when the end seems near... then have to mime everything else for the next few minutes.

(seen the Big Train sketches where the guy is, for instance, about to be shut into a bunker for 20 years with no contact to the outside world, all for the good of science, then, as the door closes, he says "Oh!, h..") I think I'd be content with "Now then..." or something.

I was being driven around collecting people. I didn't realise it was April the first until after mid-day, so I didn't fool anyone (not that I would have been inclined to do so anyway).

If money is no object, go with WoW. It's just so much more satisfying than RS, and far better thought out. Having tried both, I actually wouldn't bother with Runescape again, even if I couldn't do WoW; well, maybe if I were really bored.

Years ago, I used to watch the Simpsons because I actively wanted to do so; now, if there's nothing good on, but I want the TV on for some reason (I like the noise, see), I put the Simpsons on. I agree that the new ones are pretty terrible. I think some of the old ones had very funny moments; now that I know them so well, though, they aren't laugh out load funny, really.
