Heading home today. At long last. We've had a fair bit of snow as well, it's forecast for the rest of the weekend, seemingly.
  2. Definately this. It's even worse when they try to make small talk. Yes, i'm all for being friendly to people, but when i'm taking a piss isn't the best time to ask me how my nights going. When you've opened the box to a new printer or whatever and it's got like a polystyrene block holding it still in the box, the sound of the polystyrene rubbing together and against the cardboard makes me wince. Also, when you're walking down a really busy street and people walk in a position that makes them hard to get past. That annoys me. Normally you can kinda see like two "lanes" of people walking in different directions on the same stretch of pavement, then theres this one person walking right up the middle in the opposite "lane".

Last exam finished today. So damn happy right now.
  4. Wow, congrats to the winner. Very generous of you Lady. Now i can actually say "Nice to see the Christmas spirit is alive and well" in a non-sarcastic sense. Have a good Christmas.
  5. This. Pretty sure you won't catch an Std from it either.

My flatmate done that for one of her exams last week. Most [developmentally delayed]ed idea ever. You'll feel more benefit getting a decent sleep and some rest. As for the not waking up, set alarms in places that you actually need to get up out of bed to turn off (i.e. not on your bedside table). Or get someone that's normally up at that time to wake you.

1 more exam left before i can head back home for Christmas, can't wait. Had 3 exams this semester, of the 2 i've done so far, i'm feeling alright about one but the other was an insanely hard paper and i know loads of folks from my class felt the same way. If loads of people get low marks they lower the % needed to pass, so with any luck that'll see me through that one. The good thing is after Christmas holiday i'm going back to 3 completely different subjects so no work over the break.
  8. Haha, very good sir.
  9. Christ, another reason to hate that smug [bleep]. I joined the facebook group, probably won't buy the actual CD.
  10. I respect people that join the military, choosing a job, that in some cases, will put you in harms way on a daily basis. Those people however have signed up knowing that they'll be put in dangerous situations as part of their job, which takes a lot of balls to do in the first place. When the soldiers get out to Iraq or Afghanistan and are out on missions or whatever, they'll be following orders, which isn't in my view heroic, it's just part of the job. Heroic is when someone does something above and beyond the call of duty, choosing to go back and help fallen comrades, opting to put yourself at unnesessary risk in order to help others, thats heroic.
  11. Propagandhi's "Supporting Caste" is the best album released this year, for me. Can't be bothered making a list for the decade.
  12.  I think the guy died. He definately won't do it again.
  13. Well done man. 2 hawt 99's, and an awesome account.
  14. What an arse. I don't agree with it, however i see where Wongtongs coming from. The guy done it so his kids would have both parents at home and a "normal" upbringing. Although i don't know how "normal" it would've been when the guy thinks infecting his wife with HIV is the best way to go about giving his kids a decent childhood. Now the kids will potentially lose both parents and have to live with the fact their father was a mentalist.
  15. Very good, particularly liked Metoo's.
  16. Good bank and stats. 8/10
  17. Well done, the paragraphs with each picture was a good idea. 2376/2376
  18. I'm quite liking "In the thick of it" at the minute. Curb your enthusiasm's pretty good as well.
  19. Can't freaking wait. I've got 2 exams to do before i can head home but that means no work over the holiday, just 4 straight weeks of taking it easy. It'll be really good to see the folks again, Christmas day is usually a good laugh. Get to see friends i haven't seen for a while as everyone is back for christmas, so should have some good nights out with the old gang again. It was a bloody quick year.
  20. Last decent road trip i went on with friends, we had everyone coming make a mix of their own favourite tracks. That was a pretty long trip though, so we actually managed to listen through all of them.
  21. I'd quite fancy a cruise around the Mediterranean. Friend from work who got married done that and said it was amazing.
  22. Favourite would have to be either Hunter or Herblore. Least favourite is prayer probably.
