  1. The running for higher level runes is a bit different. 1) Laws (you need 54 RC for this) - In 'Running' laws, if you are a crafter, on world 66 you trade 27 laws AND 27 noted essence for 27 Unnoted essence. Doing this meathod you lose 27 essence per transaction. - On world 99 'Running' Laws, if you are a crafter you take 28 unnoted essence, and give 28 laws. This is cheaper, but not very many people use this world as world 66 is better for the runners, and not the crafters. 2) Nats (You really need 92 RC for this to make profit) - Under 92 RC, your basically losing money as with nats, since you are trading 27 nats + 27 noted ess for their 27 unnoted essence. - Some worlds also just trade 28 ess for 28 nats. With this meathod you dont lose money, but might have a hard time finding runners. - With double nats, this is where the money is. You give them 27 nats, and 27 noted ess for their 27 unoted essece, but you also get to keep the rest of the nats for yourself since you 2x them. 3) Earths As far as im aware, unless your doing it with friends, I dont believe theres runners for any other elemental rune besides airs. If you mine the essence, Laws is your best bet, but Personaly I prefer making my own runs and walkin/running/getting to the alters as it makes alot more money in the process. Remember, if your in p2p, the abyss is your friend (Unless your making laws)
  2. Actually, you can, and you do. I do it all the time, as that is my favorite place to mine addy, since the rocks are almost always spawned. It may not seam like your mining, but you are. Just make sure you have auto ret. off. If you dont, then it wont work. Also, another trick is to take a glory along if your p2p. Since glorys can teleport up to level 30 wilderness, you can basically teleport out right from the mines, without wasting a space for a teleport.
  3. Toadflax isnt really rare. You can get them alot from: 1) Randoms 2) Agility Arena 3) Gnome Cooking Minigame 4) Monster Drops 5) Seeds from Dagganoths 6) Seeds/Herbs from Specteres 7) Seeds from pretty much any monster that drops seeds. Getting them from Seeds and using farming is the easiest way to get them, but they are in no terms "rare". Infact I get them more often than other herbs such as kwarm and Ranarr. They are pretty much useless to the low level herblorest, as agility potions dont sell to well, and arnt much xp. But to higher levels, they are a necessary ingredient for sara bews which is <3 To most high level players. But no, getting one, or a unid of one isnt rare, or even uncommon. It all depends what you kill on what type of herbs you get.
  4. You can do this, but in order for it to work, you must build a spiral staircase in the 1st room. Then from that room, you have the option to extend the staircase down or up. Note: Each extension requires the same materials to build a staircase. So 2 extensions requires the resources for 2 additional staircases. Also, this only works for spirals, and not normal stairs. Normal ones cannot be extended.
  5. Yes, you need a trowel to reopen it. You can get one from one of the examiners in the exam center south of the barrel. Also another tip, instead of clicking continue everytime it fills a vial, just keep using each vial on the barrel, it makes filling them twice as fast.
  6. also, was your cat a "cat", or "Overgrown Cat". in order to get the medal, you need to kill 200 rats from the "kitten" to "cat" stage. Any rats caught once they Kitten evolves to "Overgrown Cat" dont count towards the medal. So basically you have 6-8 hours to catch 200 rats with a kitten/cat before it evolves and it wont count anymore.
  7. Accoring to the dwarf book the area is not accessable to the wilderness, but the wilderness might be expanded a bit when this area is filled in. Just how much is going to be wilderness and non is unable to be told until the update this month. And regards to a few posts up. 1) We dont know how long the ice has been thawing. 2) We dont know how deep the dwarf went into the cave (Edges thaw before the center :) ) 3) We dont know how long ago the dwarven book was written.
  8. North of the Ice Pass, west of the members wild agility course. And to clairfy, under our research, we believe this area isnt actually "part" of the wilderness. Simply next to it, but its impossibe to say as of yet.
  9. This is a continuation discussion of this thread, which was locked due to hijackers posting things in our thead: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=681253&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=20 All I can say is we were right! The black space in the wilderness is getting unlocked! I cant wait to see this new area, im so excited :D
  10. 1) He's Safespotting DH in the tunnel and not the tomb, so prayer is not required, since he cant hit you. 2) DH hits more than the others as his health gets lower. His max hit at 1hp is 56. 3) Like I said before, this method is for lower levels as us higher levels dont need to worry about safespoting the other brothers.
  11. It is, dont send a link to Jagex, simply send a query and type the name of the movie and the user who posted the movie on youtube. Also, report the video on youtube itself.
  12. His HP only effects his strength, not his accuracy. However, this is not something to worry about as he hardly ever hits. Only once in my entire barrows history have I had hit hit me on a door spawn. (Which was a 32 :S) Dont worry much about this though, as he hardly hits. Just run to your spot and eat if needed after your in the safespot. I agree =P, and GL, hope you get some good chest drops.
  13. Killing both Ahrim and Karil with only 43 prayer points alone is not likley to happen. Using slayer dart, it takes about 20-30 prayer points to kill karil alone, so chances are you would run out of prayer during the ahrim fight. If you really wish to save potions this is a good method for lower levels, but as you get to a higher level, you will find that most of the brothers can be fought without prayer and dont do much damage. So if you chose to do this, heres what I would do: Bring 1 Ppot with you (for emergencies). The rest food and supplies ect.. Go in and fight Karil 1st, you might or might not have any prayer left, depending on how luck you are. If your completly out, take 1-2 sips of your ppot if needed, and take out Ahrim. You might not need any ppots if you get lucky with Karil. Then go down in one of the 4 courner rooms and open the doors on the side, as most of the corner rooms have safespots on both sides of the door. Then safespot them, and kill the rest without prayer. This meathod is better for lower levels, but us higher levels can pretty much ignore this meathod, as we can take the brothers head on without prayer. And while running to the safe spot, you should only get hit 1ce by the brother thats spawned, because they move at a walking pace, while you can move at a running pace. So as long as you stay ahead, you shoudlnt get hit. Just watch out for DH's rare hits on spawn. As for the dragonhide, I would recomend getting black if you can, I'd say with red you have about a 40-50% of him spashing, Black is about a 60-70% for him to splash. Hope this helps.
  14. The armor in the skills hall is not for TT armor. It is only for regular sets of metal armor. (See below Quote) ^^ Like he said, you need the smithing levels to make that armor before you can put it in, so you can make the armor yourself when you put it in. Also, the stairs can store Castlewars armor, which dosent require a smithing level to put in, but you do need certain peices. Hope that Helps.
  15. It have done that for months, I can't tell if it was a release feature 'cause I can't remember. Thats not new. You are also aware that you can look in the Quest Menu, at at Tears Of Guthix. At the bottom it tells you when you can do tears without actually having to go visit her? That was added months ago. :?
  16. You can also use the search button the the RS forums to quickly search for threads containing the word "glory", to speed up your search.
  17. Rule 8 on the RuneScape Rules.
  18. Once you put in above 650k the kingdom will only use a maxium of 75k a day (If you did both quests) and I think its 50k a day if you only did the first quest? So if you have 10M or 1M in the kingdom, it will still only take out the same small ammount. I would recommend checking your kingdom every day, that way you can easily keep a 99% rating, and get the maxium number of materaials.
  19. Sorry. but the Skeleton monkies spot is NOT a safespot. Thats problably why you didnt find it in the list. You have to have both.. 1) Gotten 1/2 way through Monkey Madness Quest 2) You will get attacked so you MUST use prayer. The spot is also deep in a tunnel that does damage to you even with prayer on, so this is not a training spot for lower levels.
  20. Well who would be stupid enough to bring only 1 combat type in the wild. If he puts on hides, you put on rune and dds him. Just like if hes in robes, and switches for rune. Your not gunna range him? You switch to mage.
  21. And keep in mind too.. Just because theres nothing currently abvious in Varrock that might be difficult, Jagex.. (As DEVELOPERS of this game) could easily spash in some new hard challenges at any moment. Other things might lie right under our noses that we dont realize and wouldnt think of as tasks. Just because its not high level combat dosent mean its not challenging to do.
  22. If you want a slowe meathod but dont mind the waiting.. If you do farm runs, you could plan it each day at the end of your farm run to head down there and sell some ore. That way you sell a little each day, but wont really get bored while selling it. Just an Idea. I do the same thing with astral runes. I have it planned on my farm run (starting at miscalenia) to go to lunar isle and pick up 100 astrals each trip. This way over time it builds up without having to hop or waste time waiting for stock to go down. But this meathod is only good for things you want in the long run, and not short term.
  23. [hide] But there inlies the problem with the "PKing Rules". You See. I think of Pking as a skill like Construction. It can be fun to level and fun to play with, but costs tons of money. The Problem in these "New Wilderness Rules" is pkers are attempting to make a profit out of an activity that isnt necessarly made to make profit. And then is when the rules come in. The result is more people dying, more drops and more money getting circulated around. In my personal opinion, this is rubbish. If you think pking with the rules Jagex gave us isnt good enough and isnt fun? Then why are you playing this game? I dont think tagging is against the rules. Another problem Ive seen with these rules is "Low Wild Dueling For Keeps". 90% of pkers are guilty to this. But back before the great pure rush of 06', torsos and other str weapons, there went these rules. Why? People didnt "duel pk" as much as they do now? This problem of these rules was solved because people pked above the level 20 wilderness. Dont like "tele noobs"? Cant tele above level 20, or TB. Dont like "tagging noobs"? Bring a friend of your own Pking. Dont Like "Safers"? Smite them and Let them waste their resources. Dont like "Prayer Noobs"? Smite them and let them waste their resources. Dont like "Runners"? Ancient or snare them. Dont like "Pjers"? Dont Whine. If you have the skill to kill somone, you should have the skill to pick up the drops and get out. If you dont, you deserve to be killed. Its a dog eat dog world in the wilderness. If you dont like How someone pk's tough luck. Now im not saying I hate pures, or people who pk this way, because I have lots of friends who do. What I am saying is, people who excpet others to follow these UNOFFICIAL"Wilderness Rules" and then whine about others who dont follow them are childish. You are free to follow what ever limitations you want when pking, but dont call me a noob because I dont chose to follow your limitations. I prefer to use prayer, cheap armor, 3 item, teleport, farcast, and any way I can do hurt my opponent without losing much myself. The bottom Line.. Dont make rules and expect everyone to follow them. Dont expect pking to make any money the first place. Then you wont have to worry about any rules of "Duel Pking". Oh it's PERFECTLY okay to call you a "noob" because you don't follow the same limitations. You choose to look at PKing as a non-profit, complete lost of money. Correct? The only reason for it is fun? Now tell me, what exactly is the FUN in fighting 50 fights, without killing your opponent a single time? What is the FUN of never having to risk anything, and never dying unless you lag? Where is the FUN in all this? If you actually think the above scenario is fun, fighting 50 fights in a row, wasting all your valuable food and potions, and never being able to win a fight, that's fine. But if others disagree and want to "create" their own metagame where there are rules and such, you should respect that. It's just basic respect. If a group of players wants to play a game the way THEY want to play it, and you go in and intentionally violate it when it can barely benefit you anyways, that does qualify you to be called "noob". Then again, most things do. If you want to say the whole thing is about FUN, then go PK in level 1 wilderness, ONLY against people who pray, who pj, who tag, who teleport, who do everything in the book that's generally disliked. Find a friend and fight each other. After a hundred fights, tell me how fun it was to never really win a fight or lose a fight, with the thought hanging over your head that all this money is going to waste that can be used in other FUN activities. I'm sorry, but if I'm going to spend almost 500k an hour, even if I lose money I actually want some fun out of it. And again, if you read my post all my points had to do with low level wilderness. If you pass 10 wilderness where you can be higher level, bring friends, bring teleblocks and etc, and actually manage to stop them from escaping, it's really fair game. Because in level 1-5 wilderness they can escape no matter what you bring if they have prayer, the right equipment, and decent food. The reason I didn't bring this up is because it seems quite rhetorical. The FUN of PKing is to kill people, to see nice tidy piles of treasure, and to know you actually earned something. If you're idea of "fun" is to break their rules and dampen the experience for others, how are you ANY better than someone who lures at Dagannoth Kings? "Taking over" someone's training spot and flaming them before telling them to hop? Intentionally misleading them on quests and such? Trying to teleport people at barrows so that they get killed? People who WANT to PK with these rules should be allowed to, especially at that low in the wilderness where these rules are necessary. These rules exist for very good reasons. Also, as for being called a noob. Let's just say there's one strategy that makes you COMPLETELY invincible and guarantees you to win the fight. In general, players agree NOT to abuse this strategy and to play without it. You know what I'm talking about, this exists in most games. By intentionally using this strategy regardless, what you're literally telling the entire community of players is "You know, I'm not good enough to win. Thus, I'll fall back on my strategy, so I can annoy the heck out of all of you and might actually stand a chance of winning a few games." Is that any different from a sulking kid trying to mess up a game his friends are playing because he can't win? I can't, even in my most optimistic moments, wish that all of these "honor" PKers can have one world to PK in, and the "no-honor" PKers have another world. But if you ever have problems with people coming in and mining all your ores, luring Dagannoth Kings to kill you or mess up your trip, crashing your Kalphite Queen or King Black Dragon trip to steal all your kills and loot, half killing all the monsters so you can't ever get drops when training, then realize what you're doing is the same: refusing to respect a specific group of player's rights to play the way they choose to. Especially when you have little control over it as you're in level 1 wilderness. If it's fair to call people noobs for luring at DK, x-logging in stakes, and half killing, it's quite permissible for PKers to call you a noob when you're violating their rules just because you can't win by their rules. [/hide] Dont Get me wrong. And yes, I believe its the fight that makes pking enjoyable, not the losses or rewards. However Thats my personal opinion. I die alot in the wild, get called a "noob", safer, teletubby, and prayer noob, but idc. To me its about the fight as I said above. Funny, I actually would prefer to die to someone 1-iteming and lose my items than fight someone who didnt give every possible option of combat they had. To me it makes the fights more intresting.. Instead of just using one tactic over and over. If you die to someone with 1 or 3 items, or someone farcasting, it simply proves you wernt prepared, and perhaps you should learn better tactics and hopefully learn something from your death. Anyways (Back on topic). I do agree with you, dont get me wrong. Im not dissing "honor pking" or anyone who does it. The point im trying to make is, Dont expect to make a profit of it. And dont expect eveyone to follow the "unofficial pking rules". Calling people noobs isnt the proper way to enforce these rules. Like I said before, if you want to abide by these limitations and fight others who agree to them, I dont see anything wrong with it. The issue I have is when people who dont agree with the "rules" get called names, and are looked down upon because they didnt follow "unwritten rules". Again incase you didnt read it. I have NO problem with people who duel in the wilder under these rules. The problem I have is when people force others to pk under these rules due to fear, if they dont want to. Anyone who wishes to pk by these rules are welcome to do it, but I dont think its right to make the whole community look down upon these players who only play by Jagex's rules. Do you? If someone called you an eating noob because you eat sharks at 40hp and over at KQ, wouldnt you think thats a bit disurbing? You are welcome to play by those rules but I dissagree in trying to make the whole community play this way.
