  1. Your RSN Looks familiar. :-k OT: Some of the Numbers still Play as well.
  2. No it was origionaly added when they moved the party room to fally. During the GE update they changed them to now announce prices of the drops, since all items are linked to a player price now.
  3. Everyone wants tree seeds if they like the price. The GE doesn't allow that natural price to be set. That's why they don't sell, not because they are unwanted. Thats an assumption. And you should not assume. Reason #1) Think of how many people actually have the levels to plant a calquat. #2) Of the people that can actually plant one, how many people buy seeds. You cant assume everyone, because not everyone is willing to fork over thousands of gp for tree seeds. I dont buy my seeds, when I want them I get them from my own kingdom, and I know many other people do the same. Its the case of to much supply and not any demand. Secondly, its not price control, as because when people in your market, say its tree seeds, put as the lower values, it kicks the price down. Over time, the price will decrease until it reaches a point where people will start buying them. For certain items with small markets this might take awhile, maybe even 2-3 months, but its a gradual drop. The market IS controled by players, but its only LIMITED by Jagex b/c of the 5% difference. But its up to the players to change their own prices for items. Patience is the Key.
  4. You cant auto spell curse spells. Not even with a mud staff. But "Splash Curse" Training that he suggested is a decenet option if your not afraid to waste some runes.
  5. Same def stats, but +15 breeze? :XD: OT: Ya helm of Neitizinot is your best choice for a helm, as it gives some pretty nice bonuses. Same with Torso.
  6. Like Me *Cough* 30ke per M costume room set *Cough* Anyways. Because bank space was not the primary reason for these items, it is not likley to be created for a few more bank spaces. In Jagex's mind, if you want more bank space, you need to upgrade to P2P.
  7. omg you cant summon, its not even gonna happen Ya. Summoning to Hunter is the Smithing to Mining. So unless you can make rune bolts out of plain runite ore :-# , Its not gunna be possible.
  8. Just because he's the best player in the game, doesn't mean he has to be rich. He probably never had the chance to stake, because of the popularity.. Its actually funny how that works. When your a low player you wear the best stuff you can, but its the exact opposite when your a high overall player. Think about it. How often do you see low level players in the best armor they can wear/afford, while high overall level players often wear their base clothes, and a simple hat/skillcape/minimal clothes. Ofc there are always exceptions to the rule, but its true for most people. Just go to edge and you see what I mean.
  9. You're forgetting that there will also be a ton of buyers watching the prices of items. If people start undercutting each other, "merchants" will immediately swoop in, buy the items, and try to resell for a higher price. Thats assuming you'll be able to set your own prices. Best to wait until monday before we assume anything on price changes. OT: Might as well hold onto your stuff, as even if it does drop, almost everything else will drop, so your selling price will not relativly effect your spending power.
  10. This is likley not to be an issue, as (apparent with the DA update) Jagex will be assigning max prices on items to ensure RWT's cant use it for trading. And if this is the case, and trading was removed, think if the consequences of what your saying. Thats basically showing that if Jagex assigns "Player Set Values" to items, say its 2k for a mage short, since you cannot trade, you can ONLY sell mage shorts for 2k. There is no price variance. Say Magic logs are 800e. Since you cannot trade any other way, you have no choice but to sell for 800e. Alot of Skills would quickly degrade in profits if this were the case. But then again, all the armor and other items would be reduced as well, Giving those who were rich before the update, even more spending power. But its all relative since all the prices would drop, just a huge effect on the market, but a very bad move, as it cuts out one important part of the game. PLAYER INTERACTION. If Jagex begins to remove direct player interaction, its not a MMORPG, and no different than any single player game. Buying from a store thats supplyed by players is no different that buying from a store thats supplyed by generated items. While it may solve alot of problems, I dont think Jagex would do this in RS2. Maybe an update for RS3 as that would eliminate all the people who had alot of money in RS2 if the update would take place. Removing all armor/coins/weapons and everything but skills, and starting them out on RS3 with this new system would be the only way I could see them using it. So I dont think we would have to worry about this for a long time.
  11. I agree, I like the new idea of the tournaments, but 3k is a little silly. If you were going to make the stakes 3k, might as well just get rid of 1v1 staking all together. 3k is kinda pointless, especially in a 15 min period. I never staked, but I think its kinda silly Jagex did this. I think a better way to change it would have been to make it so the stakes on each side are only 3k difference. Example: If someone taked a dragon long, you would have to put up items within 3k of value to his/her item. To me THAT would make more sense, as a bot/trades might not have the equal amount to stake back. I dont see this sticking around tho, to many people used staking as a daily activity.
  12. One problem I do see however, will give merchants a HUGE edge with this. Say a person whos really rich (like 1B+) wants to make some money and have some fun controling an entire market. Say on this market, there are Nat runes for sale at, 280, 290, 300, and 310e. He uses his vast money supplies, and buys all the nat runes on the list less than 300e. Then markets them all 300e. Now the entire market of nat runes under 300 is under control of one person. And making 10-20gp per rune selling them back, he gets TONS of profit since theres thousands of nats being sold at a time. But the issue is the Stairs effect. Say another merchanter buys all the nats (now all 300e), and puts them all at 310e. Now everyone has to buy at 310e, since none are left that are cheaper. Then another merchanter buys them all and sells at 320, and so on. Until we get nats in the market that are 370e. And nothing we can do about it. Unless Jagex places some sort of restriction on how many of one product you can buy, rich merchanters can basically control markets with easy of a few clicks, since the entire market is now at there fingertips. Im sure Jagex has a solution to this problem tho, and Im curious to see how they will deal with it.
  13. The term "Luring" is used alot more than I should be. And to be clear on what JAGEX says about luring.. Luring is not classified as players "luring" other players who are already inside the wilderness. If you want to get technical, "Luring" people who willingly cross into the wilderness (Thereby risking there items to be lost) with the intention of KILLING other players, is not against the rules. However, it may not be in the spirit of the game. But I see no difference in you willingly joining a group, or following a group and getting killed. So no, what they did is NOT against the rules, but not necessarly nice. Just teaches you to be careful who you hang around with in the wilderness.
  14. Actually the guy who made the MM storyline didnt quit Jagex, he just transfered into a different division. But considering alot of the quests relayting to Glough and the gnomes in the west, I could see MM coming back into play yet again, maybe not as a quest on its own. As for those who say. What happened to the Elves, or The quests in the east, or the endings to major quests. Let me show you from a logical standpoint, not just the story. Say when you read a book youve never read before, the ideas are new, and suspensful. This is because you dont know how the story is going to end. But once you finish the book, its not as exciting because you know how the story unfolds. The same is for quests. You dont know how the elf storys end, so its exciting to see what will happen, but as soon as they end, its no different than any other quest, and not exciting. If Jagex were to suddenly wrap up all the loose ends on all the quests, there would be nothing to look forward to. My guess is, Jagex is making lots of single quests that they can build sequals off of. So that when they do choose to end one storyline, they have others to make material for, and something for players to look forward to. Either way, I'd expect to see more newer quests with sequal potential come out before you get any of the Major ones wrapped up.
  15. Since when is helping lower levels bad? Anyways.. Minning, Fishing, and WC SHOULD have been not included in this update. Infact any skill that is used mainly to produce raw materials should not have been included. This hinders not only the person assisting, but the assistie. But other skills, such as construction are very benifital for this update. Example: Say someone wants to make a magic cape rack (Which requires a magic stone). With the old system you have to basically give away 1M trustingly for it to be made, while this new system assures you wont be scamed out of these expensive items. Its situations like that, which this update was created for, not the collection of raw materials.
  16. Ok, I think this update is great, and has many uses, but also think it has alot of potential to be much better. I believe alot of the players are not using the update as Jagex had intended them to. Alot of people are using this assistance update as a quicker means of xp, and easier training. This was not Jagex's Intent. This is especailly prevelant in the herb skills. High level herbests are now saying 30k xp isnt enough, because its very easy for them to make potions for other players. What I believe should be done, is remove the XP bonuses to both players totaly, while making the # of items made unrestricted. Why? 2 Reasons. 1) With the xp removed, both players can still use the system as a safer means than trading, which is what its intention was for. 2) You discourage all people using the skill as a means for some quick and easy free xp. Why should the xp be removed? Alot of the problem is mainly peoples lazyness. A person would rather sit around in a bank for 2 hours yelling.. "Need level 80 crafting assistance", than spend time on working on that skill so they could make items themselves. 90% of the people in RS are guilty of that. Giving no xp basically encourages players to not use this system on a massive scale for lots of xp, but for a handful of items. Another possible solution would be to make the xp unlimited, but only allow a person to recieve assistance a certain # of times per 24 hours. Example: You can only recieve assistance 20 times every 24 hours. This way, if you have say 20 rubys to cut, 20 flatpack items to make, or 20 alchs to do, you'd have to choose wisly, and cant depend on higher levels to do all the work for you. Either of these solutions would help solve the problem.
  17. Nope not new, been there for more then a year, I remember posted a screenie of it in this forum once but a mod deleted it or something. :P Pretty weird because it doesn't have any use :? Its not useless. Use a bucket with it. And also, I believe it plays a role in TT's. I believe theres a TT clue where you dig on the mound.
  18. Doubtful, as White Dragons are long extinct, and 3rd age Ranger armor is made of white dragonhide already. But I think this might possibly be kudos island? Not enough is known about the island to say how big it is, or how big of an impact it might have on the game. For all we know, Kudos Island might be as big as Karjima? And also "Horizion" being on the edge of the map, and "Trickle" relation to water/an island might give clues to the update.
  19. Well, also look at it this way. Most goals/accomplishments are personal. Yes, person A might get 99 rc in 10 months making nats, while person B could get it in like 4-5 using the Zim alter. But regardless of how you get it, its still a personal achievement. Dosent matter if its 99 crafting, cooking, fletching, or runecraft; If its a skill you like, dosent matter what anyone else does to get the same levels. Its your own personal acomplishment that you achieve. And about pking, While it may be true Items like the GS alter pking to an extreme, you also have to remember the cost they are pking with. Going and risking 40M in the wild is there choice, if they want to risk there best equipment. Not to mention, all equipment has weaknesses. DH, and Vengence are very powerful weapons against a GS, both which can work very effectivly and are ALOT cheaper. So its not all as one sided as you might think. But with risks comes rewards. If someone is willing to risk a 40-120M toy in the wild, which they could potentiall lose, I see no problem with it giving them higher than average combat results.
  20. Grads, and I wish you good luck, but a question.. Why super-restores? A super restore heals a range of 9-32, while a Prayer Potion heals 1/3 your total prayer level. Since your 99 Prayer, A prayer potion would heal 33 (34-36 With Holy Wrench) every time. Why not use prayer potions, as they are cheaper, and more effective for your level <img src='http://forum.public.cdn.tip.it/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_upup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':<img src='http://forum.public.cdn.tip.it/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='^_^' />:' />
  21. umm... am i the only person who doesn't get this? Nop ur not Count me in. aaaand me... Same, so what, a lv 126 with full rune and defense cape... who the hell cares? @the person who posted the image: From your avatar, I assume you aren't 13 or older? Actually. Looking at the picture, Looks like the 126 is in f2p. (Because of the boots and armor thats being worn) So its problably a rare occurance to see something like this in f2p. Thats problably why he posted it.

  23. 1) Sceptre is only 600k. Thats not overpriced, as you can easily repay that if you collect gold tokens from PP, or any other meathods of theieving. 2) Who says a skill should always give you lots of profit? There are plenty of skills out there which yield almost no profit, even to higher levels. Agility for example. How much can you make with agility a day? Its a secondary skill to help you with primary skills. If you like to train the skills, thats fine. But if your in it for the money, dont use that skill to make your money. Theres PLENTY of other skills that can be used to make enormous ammounts of cash p/hour. Theiving is fine where it is, where it has always been. I dont see any reason to make it a quick/high cash making skill when it has yet to be on RS2. (Espeically since how quickly PP makes it to level).
