Mainly because Islam branched off from Christianity. Not at all. Islam and Judaism branched off from the same person - Abraham. Christianity was 4000 years later. Those ones are called Abrahamic religions for that reason. Ones like Hinduism and Buddhism are called Dharmic religions because they are similar and originate in the East. I'm not sure if Taosim and Shintoism ect fit into this category as well.

I believe in global warming and very few things are more important in the near future than addressing the issue and finding a better and more clean fuel ect.

I find paganism interesting. I always thought people stopped believing in Odin, Artemis ect a very long time ago. I'm an atheist.
