  1. If you're talking about the max going up 1-2 damage in the old system, or 10-20 damage now, then that's wrong. All that has changed is that decimals are included. So if your old max hit was 21.7, you'll now be able to deal that full damage rather than just 21. Obviously, this is multiplied by 10 so it'd be 217. So now, your max hit, without changing any pots/prayers or equipment can be up to 0.9, or 9 damage higher, depending on what it is. Example: Your max hit would normally be 40, but in reality with the decimal, it's 40.9, just is rounded down and isn't included. Now, you deal that original 40.9, but multiplying it by 10 to get 409. Hope that helped :)
  2. Pack Yak is better, however, if it does run out in the middle, just make sure to pay attention and tele early. When using a Tortoise, I was able to get around 1,600-1,700 bones used up per hour, to give you an idea. That was also paying very close attention.
  3. Whip + Defender or a Shield > Saradomin Sword.
  4. Well if you think about it, training controlled is actually better in the long run. Yeah, it's slower between levels, but you get used to it. The main thing is that it is faster than training Strength and Defence, because Strength is commonly trained using a Dragon Scimitar or a Saradomin Sword, which are both a lesser method than using a whip. And Defence doesn't give the slight bonus to Strength and Attack (Attack, Strength, and Defence styles give +4 bonus to each respectively, while controlled gives a shared bonus of +1.33 to each) that the Whip gives on Controlled. So Controlled is faster in the long run. Also, I think the bonuses are +4 and +1.33 to each style, but not 100% sure. I do know that is how it works nonetheless. And as previously said, the xp goes +4 for each 3 skills individually, or +1.33 shared using controlled.
  5. Got 94 Fishing, and started to Slay some. Just about 92. And gathering charms. Will get at least 96 Summoning during the bonus xp weekend :D Also, did a Jad task, beat him no problem and got my 2nd fire cape :)
  6. The above numbers are pretty good numbers to use. Making Unfinished pots - 3600 or more per hour Making Finished from Unfinished - 2200 or so per hour Together, 1300-1400 pots per hour.
  7. That's nice Mck, but it doesn't answer his question. And I forget the maximum bodies/hides per hour, but expect between 3-4k hides, or 1-1.3k bodies per hour.
  8. Alright, I did some testing of this. I killed 73 Shadow Warriors. I got: 13 Crimsons 10 Gold 5 Green 2 Blue This brought a total of 30 charms from 73 kills, or a 41.1% charm drop rate (for a comparison, Waterfiends have a ~90% charm drop rate). The following represent the percentages of the charms that were dropped: Crimson - 43.3% Gold - 33.3% Green - 16.7% Blue - 6.7% Yes, they do drop mainly Crimsons, however from my experience, they didn't drop charms often enough. However, it's up to the Crew on whether to add this in or not.
  9. If I remember, after my current task, I'll go check them out and give some statistics and timing, to see how good they are.
  10. If you use a specific method at either the Grand Exchange or Oo'glog, you can end up right at the bank, without losing any time, which means you can get up to 1400 logs per hour, roughly. But yes, 1260 is a good number for a traditional line of fires.
  11. Looking at his stats, it seems like Fletching would make sense. If you keep 100% concentration, a good average is about 60k bolts per hour. So with Addy - 420k xp/hr, and Mith - 300k xp/hr. However, it can be done faster, especially with things like mousekeys. Or the rate of clicking/moving your cursor. I've managed up to about 600k xp/hr with Addy, but only timed it for a short period. I'm not familiar with how much it costs at the moment... However, using RsWiki Fletching Calculator, it's -1.71 gp/xp with Addy, and -1.4 gp/xp with Mith.
  12. Maybe when I finally do this quest, I'll take a look at it for picture confirmation. Might be nice to add it into the guide! Would be a great deal of help to people then.
  13. Wow, that's really convenient! Do you have any picture evidence by chance? I know that the Crew either require some sort of confirmation on things like these. I'd definitely want to see this in the guide.
  14. I think that this would be a great idea. Even if FTP2 isn't a requirement for the quest, it can easily be included in the Tips and Tricks section, just for, what seems like a faster mode of transportation. Seems pretty simple to me. To the Crew staff, any input on the matter?
  15. If you wish to Range them without tanking, then your best bet will be in the Smoke Dungeon: I did a quick edit on the map, and I circled the area that two Dust Devils are at, which is a great spot to Range. And then just below that, I put two white dots, which represent the two safespots that are commonly used for that location. This is, in my opinion, the best safespots for Dust Devils, just because it's easy to use, and meleers won't want to attack those, since they're slightly more spread out, and only two of them. I probably ranged 75-85 on Dust Devils, with Blue Dragons in there as well. So, I spent quite a bit of time there. Things have changed since, so I don't necessarily know all the best methods though, with new equipment. It might just be easier to tank nowadays, etc.
  16. A cannon will just about always speed up a task, multicombat or single combat. Morionic explained it very well, that since they have such high hp but low defence, it is quite beneficial to use a cannon, assuming you're willing to cannon them. So it is worth it. And as other people have mentioned, mining them only gives more profit, but slows down your task.
  17. Yes, you get more experience for completing a task the higher level you are. However, the Sawmill is only a bit better than Ivy, and Ivy you don't have to click much. So I preferred Ivy when getting 99 Woodcutting. If you do try out Sawmill, use a Crystal saw, it will improve your experience per hour by up to ~20k xp/hour I believe. And you can read about it more from the Tip.It site's small guide about it here Sawmill Guide.
  18. I usually get about 2 per week, roughly. It's worth doing MTK for them, plus all the other profit.
  19. Got 86 Hunter today :D Trying to get all 90s, and eventually 99s in the last 3 gathering skills. 2262/2376 total
  20. u r very strong

  21. *kicks*

I can do that now :D

  22. 87 Mining, been getting some fishing done. Failed merch today, but I broke about even lol. Took my last midterm of the term tonight, for Biology. Glad that's over with.
  23. Now, it seems true that Shadow Warriors drop more Crimson Charms than the other charms, however, I'm not sure if it's worth noting this in the notes section. Looking at other monsters in the Bestiary, it seems as if only the best Crimson Charm droppers have notes about this. Not to mention that Shadow Warriors are no longer deemed to be a very great source of experience, as they once were "back in the day." However, I would be perfectly willing to go check it out and get another opinion on the charm drop rate. Also, if you happen to see this post, about how often are the charms dropped? Because if you don't get a very good charm:kill ratio, then it wouldn't seem to be a very good source. However, if it is a good ratio, it might be!
  24. Tested this out with my task of Jungle and Desert Strykewyrm tasks, you need to move at least 2 steps away from the wyrm to avoid it's attack. So Vhellcat is correct.
