  1. Ok, so: Basement: 1k slayer and hunter xp. 1st/2nd floor: 1 lamps worth 1k to any skill and 1 worth 10k, depending on how many quests you have completed. Ground floor: Going through disite stuff eventually unlocks the ruby necklace enchantment... anything else for that floor?
  2. I got the same, but I'd assume you get it for doing all the quests and giving all the info you can...
  3. I always seem to get them 50/50. Every now and then I'll have a half (of either kind) languishing in the bank for a while, but then the next one will be the matching side.
  4. Far more likely to happen than any old cape. Capes are positively boring and old news now. Bring on the 'full achievement' outfit! And a small 'my bad' on the Quest cape and it's trimmed status. Not owning one, I have only my memory and a few bad angles to go on. It certainly looks like an obviously different colour to me though...
  5. Well, I'll be honest and say that most of us realised that a while ago... Then we also realised that the quest cape is already 'trimmed' - in blue. Then we realised that would mean that there could be an 'achievement cape' released when there's a couple more diary's out. Then we realised that it would be a waste of time to think on it any further, and went back to whatever we were doing before hand.
  6. I hate you. You didn't even mean to kill the damn thing and you got the scroll... I'm not happy.
  7. Probably something like 1600 skill total, all levels at least 60/65+ (depending on what I need for 1600), and finally get around to getting all the quests done... maybe. They'll just be general goals though, not "I must have this done by August or my life is over" goals.
  8. You hung around for 15 mins to see if the guy showed up. Without knowing who he was, there's nothing more you could do. The items were just gonna disappear otherwise... think of it like you 'liberated' innocent items from destruction and the hands of careless Runescape 'item disappearing' laws!
  9. I got about 30k ranged exp trying for an Imp Scroll. Nothing. 30k may not be much, but it took me a long time before I gave up. Even now when mining iron near yanille, I kill one imp each way to and from the bank, just in case. Still nothing. I know the rewards aren't worth anything, but it's just another bit of the game you want done, you know?
  10. Absolutely nothing. Literally, the best drop I've had would be a lava battle staff. And I was excited when I got that.
  11. I can 100% percent guarantee that, if the Varrock museum update does come out next week, it will not be on the Monday. Monday next week is a Bank Holiday - essentially a day where we don't have to go to work and we get paid anyway! If there's anyone at Jagex Towers on Monday then they're workaholics and need a holiday!
  12. Burnt anchovies. I mean really, who would keep them?
  13. Although I haven't done MEP2 (haven't even done Regicide yet  ) I shall attempt it without a guide... partially. My preferred way of doing quests is to use a guide to ensure that I have all the items required available beforehand and to check out the bosses. The rest (the puzzles, the plot, the fun *real* bits of the quest) is all done by me... I imagine the rest of the Plague City storyline will take me quite some time.
  14. I am not and have never been a moderator. But I cannot help but think that being a mod would be far more trouble than it's worth. People continually bugging you, being afraid to comment on a topic being spoken about because it'll reveal your crown and then you get spammed... *shudder*. That said, I'd say yes if Jagex asked, most likely out of noble sense of duty or something... but I'd probably help less people than I do now because of it.
  15. I think we should stop arguing about this. There is now a minimum combat level of 85 to get the quest cape. Jagex are not gonna change this. Big deal. They may well not make a higher requirement due to all this complaining, which means that we will likely never get our coveted 'high level quest'. So thanks for complaining morons, you've just dashed the hopes of everyone. Complaining will not change the fact that the only way to wear that cape again is to get your combat up. Get over it and do it already, you're annoying the rest of us.
  16. Devious Minds because of the smithing requirement. Somehow I found two Dwarven Stout(m) in my bank that I used to do it (they're from so long ago, I've forgotten where they came from and how to get them again!). If I hadn't done that I might of gone insane. Smithing's great for arrows and a bit of cash when you need it, but constant training? Ug.
  17. I like the idea, but it runs into complications when it comes to making the chisel. I mean, what exactly is a chisel made of? it can cut diamonds - the hardest substance known to man - easily. You character clearly puts hardly effort in to it. Would the chisel be made out of a wooden handle, an iron/steel chisel bit and then diamond tipped? Or is that needlessly being pedantic? Seriously, I like the idea. But would they all be made out of wood or would other materials be required as well?
  18. I think it's a glory that never runs out of charges, but I wouldn't know as I haven't got around to building one yet. It's the only thing that would seem to be this beneficial.
  19. Ava's Accumulator/Attractor is almost a must. Most useful thing in the world. I use it all the time unless I'm doing melee combat in rune. If I can, I'll training in d hide simply so I can use the backpack. I've got at least 10k steel arrows from it. Sounds like you quit about the same time I left, but I came back earlier so I've got more of a head start. Fairy Tale 1 is also useful for the green secateurs that help with farming. Black Mask for slayer - took me ages to get I basically looked through all the news posts to see what was going on (after getting my PoH established - such a strange thing, never actually thought it would truly happen, you know?
  20. Possibly construction... bare with me here. Most people who have 99 construction would have another 99 - they're either serious skillers (want 99s in everything) or they wanted an easy 99 at first and bought cooking/fetching to start. I can't think of anyone who said 'I want to buy a 99. I know, I'll spend a ludicrous amount of money on construction rather than a much smaller (but still large) amount of fletching or cooking.' It just doesn't happen. Also, some of those who can afford 99 construction most likely got it through their skills and have a 99 elsewhere. So although it is possible for a construction 99 without the trimming, it's probably rare.
  21. Well, I stopped playing for 18 months, but I wouldn't call it quitting. The halls I was staying in blocked the ports RS uses, and I had no idea how to make it work again. I soon found other things to occupy my time. I didn't pick RS back up again until last November, when on a whim I thought I'd log back on and see what changed... except I couldn't actually see what had changed as it was a free account and I couldn't even remove anything form my bank. I got members pretty quickly after that. My main problem is that RS doesn't occupy my free time, it takes up the time I should spend working and revising... My social life is just as busy as it always was.
  22. I just checked the new player gallery as well. The one of Juna is actually brilliant!
  23. The home tele always being there looks useful... We'll have to wait and see about the new lunar spells.
  24. I understand perfectly where Jagex is coming from. Say you had to do a huge, 10 chapter long project for school. You worked ludicrously hard on it, doing umpteen hours of research, thousands of words and hours of effort, and you were delighted with the finished product. And even then, you kept going back and tweaking small pieces just to make it better. You hand it in, and the teacher marks it on the basis of the first page and a chapter selected at random. You'd feel pretty hard done by, no? A little insulted, maybe? I reckon that's how Jagex feel when they look at how most people play their game. They've put years of effort into making this game as good as they can, with some beautiful areas, and they see the places they've put so much effort into abandoned for other, more boring training spots, while their effort is ridiculed. I'd imagine they feel a little insulted that for all their hard work people are either saying 'hmmm, interesting for 10mins, now back to doing whatever I was doing before' or - worse - 'OMG JaGEX update SUKS!!!11 I cud get waaaaaay more xp doing.... etc etc'. So Jagex are merely trying to get more players interested in the larger world that they've put effort into, not just the standard training spots. Which is perfectly understandable, and I support them all the way.
  25. I'm 20, and I think there are a lot more of us than you'd expect. We just don't say much, preferring to actually play the game rather than boast about how our pure would own you in the wilderness. I started when I was... hang on, let me work this out... I think I was 16. Maybe have been 15. I dunno, it was a long time ago, my memory's gone fuzzy. It does feel like I've been playing this game forever though.
