  1. They are 63, 68 and 83 slayer to kill :| The Warriors are 68 as well. Really hoping I don't get them as an assignment until a few people have worked out tactics for this place.
  2. 650? Huh? It looks like a holy and unholy symbol are definitely needed when challenging this... Then you gotta hope you get some bits of the other guys armour before challenging them.
  3. Why do I have the feeling that it'll take about a week for someone to have done everything there is to do here?
  4. When I came back from my break and worked out that Recipe for Disaster was about cooking I was convinced that birds eggs would be involved. I reckon Jagex have forgotten about them. Or the mod that was doing something with them left, and now they've forgotten about them.
  5. You mix the potion with anger! You cut the tree furiously! You punch your crops because they won't grow fast enough! You cook the shark with your own rage! Your magic skill becomes obsolete, because you think punching and kicking your opponent is better. Sounds like an RPG version of one of those Chuck Norris T-shirts.
  6. *Goes on Facebook, looks through quote list* Ahah! Charlemagne Bolivar, when asked what he wanted in life, replied: "The usual; hundreds of grandchildren, total dominion of the known worlds, and the satisfaction of knowing that all my enemies have died in unfortunate accidents that cannot be traced to me."
  7. I'd imagine that I will most likely spend the sorting out my desk, setting up an account, meeting everyone, and learning how to use the proprietary software. Then I'd take a sneak peek at all the updates being developed. Then I might get on with some actual work.
  8. Is it me, or has the 'info bar' on the right expanded slightly. The overall size of the java console is the same, but the info bar looks smaller and the actual play screen looks smaller. Not by much, but smaller.
  9. Meh, I have no idea what html looks like anyway. I have the barest of knowledge in C and C++ (enough to pass my programming module) but I've now promptly forgotten it all for the summer.
  10. It's happened to me a few times, although not on this board. As far as I'm aware I don't think it's the actual code for the board... how can I explain this... Have you been on a website and seen in the address bar a bunch of odd symbols? For example, if the page was about... erm, golf balls, and the coder wasn't the greatest at html, then the web address would look like http://www.random.com/golf%20balls.html. The '%20' it's html's way of saying 'there's a space here'. From what I can tell, all that other code on there is html's way of saying "there's a line here", or "this bit is a button". For the more programmingly minded, it's what code looks like after it's been compiled, but before it's assembled and turned into something use able. Of course, that could be completely wrong, but I think it's a good guess.
  11. That's coz it's not on the main page, it's on the forums under recent updates. As are all the bugfixes and other minor updates.
  12. What's the fastest way of getting seaweed/soda ash?
  13. The general gist I'm getting from the article, and from thinking about it afterwards is not that it shall be released for sale in shops, but playable on a console. The Wii has an Internet Channel, I believe that the other console have something similar. It could be available through x-box live, for example. The problem is making the current software they have compatible with the consoles. For example, the way the Wii browser works makes it completely useless for RuneScape, as to type information in you click on the text box, which then brings up a key board. In RS, the textbox is contained within the window. The game engine would have to be almost completely redesigned... However, Jagex is perfectly placed to release RS3...
  14. Edgeville is generally more popular because of the glory amulet tele there. It's the closest one to a bank (except for a ring of dueling, but most don't carry them all the time. Glories, however) so when people need a bank it's where they go. Hence there's a lot of people and movement there.
  15. What is the best way to train range now? I'm curious on two levels: 1: What's the best way to get fast range exp now? 2: What's the best was for ME to get range exp now. I am 71 range, 96 combat. I do all my combat training through slayer. Basically, if I want to range a monster, should I stick with my MSB and whatever arrows I ave enough of through smithing (normally iron or steel)? Or should I invest in a dark bow/rune x-bow? Are the crossbows worth it? Heck, how much do the crossbows cost nowadays?
  16. haha classic, but if i was logged on (seeing as how that was after fishing update) i would have had u beat in combat fishing and cooking :) hehe. nice picture though, truly oldschool. And if the right people would hav ebeen one of the first ones to log in at that point, I wouldn't be even at the rrest of the skill \ That picture is so old school that I haven't even heard of it! And half the stuff that people are claiming as 'old-school' is very much not! Castle Wars being released? Hah! I'll put this bluntly: if you saw it happen, its not old school. Which is why I don't claim to be anything but a newbie ;)
  17. It's jokes like that that make me want to keep playing... I think they're brilliant. Or, as one of my mates would say: "They're so punny!" #-o
  18. I just like the fact that she always comes to me when I'm ranging Fire Giants... i.e. when I don't need food. The people who happen to be melee-ing always complain about that...
  19. I like the idea of a quest similar to Dragon Slayer to get your hands on the Dragon Plate. Runite Dragon Slayer. It could work. You have to kill the Runite Dragon, but all it drops is a voucher (and you can only kill it once, similar to Elvarg). This voucher could then be exchanged for the plate, or even be the key to starting new quest... which then gives you the plate. In a similar way to Recipie for Disaster being several quests within one quest, maybe they could do the same for this?
  20. Ava's Accumulator it actually has a practical use. While I'm training mining or fishing or whatever, it's making me arrows!
  21. I'm planning on beating RS. This time next year I will be prepared to start my 'industry placement' at Jagex as part of my university course. Jagex of course does not know this yet, but it will happen. Once there, I shall use my awesome JAGEX MOD POWERS to create an account known as 'Mod Mayjest', who has 99 in everything including the two as yet unreleased skills, all mini quests and regular quests completed and is invincible against everything. No matter what bit of the game you mention, my character will have done it. Heck, he'll have done Barbarian Assault solo... Of course, my character will have done this, not me personally. But I'll be with 'Mod Mayjest' in spirit.
  22. Runescape's rating is what is known as a 'self-rated' title. The age limit is set by jagex themselves, and is therefore arbitrary. i.e., what they say goes. The film board (I think it's called the BFCC in the UK, might be wrong though) has absolutely no say in how Jagex's censor works, nor do they set an age limit. This is because, for a game to be officially rated in the UK (i.e., get that nice shiny 18 sticker you see on GTA games) the publisher has to submit it, rather than it automatically getting rated, like with films. Which is why 'adult' titles get the rating while those designed for families don't - because that 15 or 18 sticker is good publicity. And it's a responsible decision by the publishers, but mostly the publicity. PEGI does not currently rate titles resigned for online-only play. This is to soon change when they introduce a new system (although when this happens is unknown). When that is released, Jagex can submit Runescape to PEGI for rating. It will most likely get 6+, possibly higher due to the difficulty of 'play'. However, this is the minimum Jagex much subscribe to - if they wish to set stricter standard they can. The above point is moot however, as Jagex is currently under no restrictions, demands or standards other than those set by players and players parents.
  23. When you find more pages, does the book rearrange itself so it reads in order? Or in the order you found it?
  24. Cool. Is there an advantage to using Caviare when you could have used Roe?
  25. That's what I'm after too. There's no point in me taking the time to get caviar if I only need roe for the potions I'm using...
