  1. There's an online petition with about 10,000 signatures so far. I'll try to dig up the link. On a side-note, do online petitions ever actually have any effect, or political weight? http://petitions.takingitglobal.org/oznetcensorship (Jeez, they got about 1,000 signatures in less than 24 hours)
  2. - The Sun is a big burning ball of gas. - I can throw a shot put ball at the Earth's escape velocity, and put it into orbit. - God is real. Cling to the first, concede the second, and therefore claim the third is correct. Haven't we forgotten what the title of this thread is?
  3. So, the Dragonkin anvils are in the Barbarian dungeon. Does this mean they were in league with the Barbarians? Well, not "in league", but you get the idea. As of yet, we don't know much about the Gods in that region of RuneScape. Of course, the most famous aspect of that particular dungeon is the Mithril Dragon, which when examined displays: "Experimenting with mithril gone bad!". Is it possible that the Dragonkin created the metal dragons? When you think about it, the Dragon Full Helm was released from the Mithril Dragon. The Dragon Platelegs and Plateskirt were released with the Brimhaven Dungeon. The Dragonkin knew the secret to creating and smithing dragon armour, so obviously the anvils have something to do with that. At any rate, I don't think the Dragon metal set is done yet. And it goes without saying that the Stone of Jas has something to do with it, so I won't make that revelation. Here's a copypaste from the RuneScape Wiki: On a completely different tangent, has anyone ever talked to Bob the Jagex Cat, and heard the following dialogue?: The Stone of Jas, or perhaps the Armadyl Staff, is really the only artifact in Gleilinor powerful enough to motivate an entire army to plot and scheme, right? Or perhaps not...
  4. The only player mod I've really had a chance to get to know would probably make a good president. It's a small sample size, but it can't be a coincidence. In fact, half of his playtime has probably been clocked up standing in the Lumbridge/Varrock courtyards muting bots; he's just that dedicated.
  5. Thisaone, Alex D T. I've been playing since the start of 2004, and I've never had a black mark or a coin over 10m.
  6. Pking is only part of the F2P demo, just like P2P. One of the reasons members have such powerful weapons at their disposal is because we also have access to some ridiculously powerful monsters. The most powerful beastie an F2P player is going to face would probably be a revenant, or a greater demon. Of course, if you want access to more sophisticated PKing, you could always, perhaps, maybe, pay Jagex $8 per month?
  7. yes it belongs in help and advice forum ;) oh and btw welcome to 2007 No, it is against Runescape, and thus tip.it's, rules to have two accounts owned by the same person ineracting in any way. oh and gtfo I think we were all just hoping for a touch of poetic justice.
  8. I did it at lower stats, but reasonably better equipment. But then again, I finished with about 9 super restores left, so you'll be fine. Just don't mess up. : Oh, and you really won't need the crystal bow. I can't imagine a scenario where you can't move up close to Jad, use longrange and distract the healers. It's a better idea to be 2-3 squares away from him anyway, it makes seeing his attacks a little easier. Oh, and in my humble opinion, any skillcape is tougher to get than a firecape.

Agility just costs a couple million coins in food and perhaps energy potions, but it isn't very easy. Then again, it'll save you a ton of time when training other skills... But I'd probably say firemaking, in terms of time and money.

I wear relatively skinny jeans, but they don't look skinny on me, so I have no idea what I'm wearing. :|
  11. Um, your initial post never really made it clear. Will the skiller be able to use their hard-earned money to buy extra materials from the grand exchange, or is it only the meleer who is allowed to do that? After all, melee is significantly faster if you're using a whip, and you can only get that at 85 slayer, unless you've bought one. I'm not accusing you of making this competition unbalanced, it's just that you've worded it in a very ambiguous manner.
  12. Very, very nice thread. Although, one thing confuses me. When you say you need both the Penance hat and the helmet of Neitiznot, which Penance helm are you talking about? There are four, as far as I know.
  13. It's now pretty much impossible to sell any of the 3 sizes of granite. Still, if they do sell, I just made 3m in two hours, which isn't too bad.
  14. Is there really any discussion left? I'm almost certain that any skillcape master is now in an area which doesn't require any other skills or achievements.

It's finally been released! I'll install now, and let all you non-Aussies know how good it is.
  16. I've gotta say, I agree with the OP. The only [remotely] recent update that's changed my playing style in any significant way was the G.E. At level 62 summoning, I can't see any real uses for the skill, so I'm disappointed there. Most recent quests have been underwhelming, and the stories seem forced. I'd probably love the God Wars Dungeon, but I've never had the opportunity to go. The G.E totally sneaked up on me, and I'm thankful that it did. I'd rather Jagex give us almost no indication of an imminent update, instead of hyping it so dramatically.
  17. I wouldn't have had a problem with it if the charms were tradeable on summoning's release, but I wouldn't want to see the change destroy the work of all those with high summoning levels. But then again, it wouldn't have affected me, since I can't afford to train buyable skills anyway.
  18. Unabusable bugs cannot be reported, because you report people for "Bug abuse". I'm pretty sure Jagex officially stated that in the rules.
  19. Uh, maybe people want to play the minigame because it's enjoyable. Also, runecrafting isn't really that great for money...
  20. Yesterday I planted five papaya trees, in the five runescape fruit tree patches. I was planning on getting a farming level tonight, since fruit trees apparently only take about 14.6 hours to grow. I asked the farmers to protect them, so it's possible that one or two may have become diseased, and missed one or two growth cycles. However, I don't understand why after 30 hours, every single tree is still at the stage before being fully grown. This would have to mean that every tree became diseased at least 4 or 5 times, which seems very unlikely. From what I can gather on the RSOF, a number of people seem to be experiencing this. So, is it just me, or is it a bug?
  21. Alex D T: P2P
  22. Eh, I never played Precursor's Legacy, so the storyline was a little confusing at times. Plus, I gave up on Jak 3 during one of the later missions, where you have to chase a few Marauders through the desert, taking each one down before time runs out. Perhaps someday I'll find the AV cables for my PS2 and replay it...
  23. Try http://www.recuva.com/ It works like a charm, every time. It's freeware, by the way. Well, actually, it only works every time if you haven't used your HDD much since the files were deleted, since you may have written over the old data. Try as soon as possible, otherwise they will be corrupted, and lost.

Singularly while listening to Coldplay's A Rush of Blood to the Head album. Oh, and maybe the end of LOTR3...
