  1. One can hope that the update includes the ability to "plant" one fairy ring at a time where ever you want one. Or in a fairy ring patch, but same idea. If anything would make me want to do ftp3, that would be it =D Although, it would take a farming level at or near spirit trees, and would require a big load of bittercaps. If not that, then make all the new rings rings that you have finish before you use them.
  2. What could be higher than HD? RLD! Runescape will now come in the highest graphics posable, Real LIfe. :P OT: I wonder if this has anything to do with extended use of Runetech 5? Maybe the bloom effects or such? Can't wait to see
  3. We had a lot of inside jokes in my school. Things like "Mr. Rudmans Purple Sweater" or "Wow". One of my favorites, between me and a good friend of mine, was putting our fingers to our head like a gun, and pretending to spray out blood after firing. We would do it any time someone was giving a booring lecture or going on and on with drama. lol, random as all hell. Linerider was a major fad from my days in high school, as was All The Web. In my last year of high school, the falling sand game and varients started up, and I still play Powder game myself now XD
  4. I think the best way to test this is to use a whip with a rune defender, and then a whip with a obby shield. They have the same offensive bonus, but defender has +20 slash bonus. If you can see a major difference, then yes, accuracy does matter :)
  5. I may ask for clay, and get it, but I always give it back when I get some afterwords. That way, it is no harm to them, and I get clay faster myself. I also help out any people who need stuff made, most of the time at least. 80 smithing ftw \ Oh, and about fast sc...Where is the fun in just skilling? It is much more fun to get a very fast 20k points or so (for a tool) and then pickpocket/fight for the rest of the game  . One of the reasons I don't mind getting tools, and playing a mini game to speed up skills, is that SC is so much freaking fun. I think its the best mini game Jagex has ever made, by far.
  6. [hide=wow, really?] [/hide] I love when people ignore parts of the update just so they can suit their own needs for complaining, its quite funny  . OT: I really love having a mini obelisk in my house. I have wanted it for a long time, and pet storage coming with it makes it even more epic  . Along with choosing what happens when you click the summon meter, I would say about time. It is nice, but it probably should have been that way from the start, even if it was more work for them. Oh well, its nice now \ The bugs are annoying, but can be expected from games this big. I am just glad they fix them as fast as they do, it is quite commendable.
  7. The ogre enclave is my best friend, it has tons of blue dragons with ranging spots, easy access to a bank via dueling ring. Also there, in the cage, are greater demons. While it takes a tele grab to get drops, the fact that the spot is almost always empty, and there are no bloody annoying dogs, I love the spot. Easy task as well. Most tasks can be made better by ranging, including blk demons and dragons. I even range iron dragons, though steels are a bit much. Have not had a steel dragon task yet, though. \ The only task I have blocked (and only one open spot anyways, lol, low qp) is trolls. I really dont know a good place to kill them, and I am too lazy to find out.
  8. My best "luck money" was when I was chilling with friends, playing with the flower weps. For a joke, I attacked a guard to see how long it would take for me to kill it. Low and behold, he gave me my first clue ever, which had trimmed addy in it \ . That one clue made me do many many more, and together they were nearly my sole source of income till I got members the second time, lol. Lets see...The only other "luck money" drop was when I was no iteming in the chaos tunnles for fun. I killed a zammy warrior, and he dropped a rune scim. I used that to get a few more kills before I died anyways
  9. Does this mean that all mages and rangers, even outside of pvp, can now safespot easier?   If so, that part of the update is my favorite part of all of it. The new slayer monster is nice, something for me to look forward to, since I am lv 70 only. Wonder how much that ammy will be when it finally settles? Depends on how good it is, and how hard the new creature is, I guess.
  10. I will probably try it out at least, for a bit. I have quit runescape a few times for other games, but I always came back to runescape. Lets just say that I am too far in the game to just drop it forever, like I did with the rest of the games I have played. I hope the controls for MS (or stellar dawn, that sounds freaking awesome) are based on real time shortcut combat and skill tree's, rather than plain wep speed and cb skills like rs combat. While I enjoy runescapes combat for its simplicity, I like shortcut spamming so much better, as it makes fighting a bit more intense.
  11. And then you have to train Slayer again if you want to max out... So you waste time by not training to 99 Slayer really. Though, it can be said that not all people want to max out, and fewer still do. The one reason I enjoy slayer, is that it provides me a reason to train my ranged up, which was pitifully low for my level when I started slayer. I dislike both of the skills by themselves, but find them quite enjoyable when together. Strange, eh?
  12. I actually think it kind of looks like a hand mirror. Maybe a tab for customizing your looks/armor? To a more extent than when you start the game though. Spore, anyone? I do like the idea about a global timezone for runescape itself, but has anyone else thought about runescape being split into more than one zone? It may not be big enough, but it would be cool if could be implemented.
  13. On another thread people came up with lots of logical ideas: The best idea was to charge real money to put in an item lost due to bug report. $5 towards this could well cover the costs of labour, as well if it is a fake report than Jagex could keep the $5 but if it's legit than that $5 could be applied to membership. It's very easy for them to see what happens with our accounts, this is how they go about banning people who abuse glitches. Their policy to not give back items due to glitches is outdated, before people could trade items to other accounts and then claim it as lost, now with trade restrictions this is impossible. For dealing with bugs, the best thing I can think of is to release an open beta of new updates. An hour or two with thousands of players testing them would find most of the bugs that make it through QA, they said that themselves. Why they don't already do this I don't know. All they would have to do is say that after the first "set time" of the update, they would roll back the servers to just before the update time. While this may sound like a hassle, it would get more players trying out the update because of not wanting to waste an hour or two on rs, and it would also make it so any items lost or gained by glitches in new updates would be nullified. They could chose not to do this for quests, as fewer bugs are found with them in most cases, and less players would be willing to play through a quest twice than a mini game that is made to be played over and over again. They could also use beta testing to take in comments and suggestions on what to change, what does not work, and what the players like. O.T.: I am going to buy one of these, if they come out with them. Why? I play rs at home and in public places as well, at the local Cybercafe and the library, as well as in the lab at sometimes. I also share my home computer with someone else, and cannot control what they do while they use it. It only takes once to get hacked and ruin the account, so why take the chance. To be honest, I would pay $20+ for this, even if it did not come with bank space. Having played this game for 4+ years, 2 of them being a member, $20 is jack squat for security that is nearly imposable to get around. The issue with f2p not having a billing address is a harder question, though. The only thing I can think of is to have something similar to changing/deleting your bank pin in place. When you log on, a message will pop up and tell you that you ordered a Security Key, and ask if it was you. If you said no, or if your recoveries were sent in, or password changed, they would cancel and refund the order. While not perfect, this would stop the hackers that hold the account before changing the password to try and get a Security Key. Also, if they did not hold it and took it right away, the player sending in recoveries would stop it. This would not be necessary for members who already have billing information stored by JaGex, of course.
  14. I think the tab is for all the extra options they were talking about a while ago, in a DevBlog. You know, the timers, counters, dice, all that jazzy stuff. OT: I really hate that they removed the tab. I am a compulsive time checker when I have a fam out, I always have to know how much time is left. Left clicking, then finding "stats" is just ridiculous. To make matters worse, they had nothing telling you how to get to the old tab, something that freaked me out. I had my Guthix Raptor out and I could not find out how to check its feeding status till someone told me how to get to the tab. To be honest, I think a real easy fix for this is to A: Combine quest/diary tabs like they were and put summon back. B: Make the shortcut that went to the summon tab before go there again. A is the preferred option of course, but B would work as well. ATM, the shortcuts are screwed anyways, or so I hear. I also really hate not being able to instantly dismiss my creatures. I think a lot of people are correct, this is one step forward in two or more back.
  15. Remember in the DevBlog, I think it was, where they were talking about having areas in the game different for different people? That could totally work for this, with a quest showing the coming of Zaros only to those who complete it. I can imagine them making two copies of the wild, and players going into either one depending on if they have done the quest or not. I can also imagine them making this a long process of renewal, so that in a few years the wild will be much more lively than it is now, as nature reclaims the destruction that was there so long ago. It would introduce a very neat aging aspect to runescape, if they decided to go with something like this. If the changes were slow enough, it could also go unnoticed by a lot of players till they look at old screenshots, or have not been there in a while. Cool ideas = =P~
  16. I would buy this, even if it did not come with bank space and was priced at the $20 they had in the pole  . Why? Because security is security. I have never been hacked, and may never be, but like someone else said in here, it only takes once. Don't want it? Don't buy it. But don't call people like me who would buy it stupid or incapable because they want extra security. About entering in the pin in while switching worlds, you have to wait 30 seconds anyways, as if taking a few seconds to enter in the pin would make much of a difference  . @ Jagex: Bravo for keeping the company up with current security measures. Even adding extra bank space as a bonus, a nice touch! Also, the DevBlog was really informative, and really neat \ . Its good to be informed of the interruptions that are planned as well.
  17. I got an hp level in ffa clan wars, totally not expecting it =D> . The guy I was fighting was like "gratz, now die" . The only other surprise I can remember was while I was training slayer after smoking kills came about. I had not trained it for a hell of a long time, more than a year, and still had a cave crawler task to do. So, I sat in lumby killing them, gaining a few slayer levels. I could not figure out why my task was not ending, and I was still gaining slayer xp, until I decided to go check with a slayer master, only to learn I was lost in the shuffle from smoking kills  .
  18. People say it kind of looks like a dark bow...could it be a dark crossbow, and involved in a higher level slayer update? Just running it past, lol. Also, what do you think the reqs on a dragon/dark crossbow would be? Rune requires 61, and addy 46, a 15 level climb. Would a dragon crossbow be somewhere around the 76-80 mark?
  19. To be honest, I think the non aggro glitch has been there for a while, but today's quick bug fix made it come out of the codework. At least at Tzhaar a few days ago, I noticed that they would sit there for a few attack rounds and not attack me back, randomly. It did not always happen, but it appears the broken code was there. Could just be my imagination, or lag, but I don't think so. To the people wondering how a running fix could affect other code, remember that running is used with almost everything else you do, including mini games and monster fights. One piece of code that interacts with a ton of other code can do a lot of damage, as seen by all these glitches. OT: The update is win, with run/hp recharge. Did notice though, the hp recharge seems to not work with regen brace, I only got 1 hp at a time, even though it was faster. Unless, of course, the hp regen from resting is not connected to normal hp regen, then that would make sense. Other than that, this update is awesome =D>
  20. I dont know if it has been said before, but I think using a ring of wealth on creatures that drop lots of herbs/herb seeds to be a bad idea. If the ring works on high alch values, herbs and their seeds have some of the lowest values in the game. Even high end herbs like ranarr and snapdragon alch for a lot less than other drops. If the high end herbs/seeds are counted as rare or uncommon drops, they may be replaced by less wanted items when the ROW kicks in. Because of this, I never use a ROW for specters, mighty banshee, or other common herb droppers. Use a macaw instead, as they were introduced to improve herb drops. :
  21. Hate to say it, but I noticed this a lot when mining mithril ore in the mining guild. Even when I was at 60 mining and fresh into the guild, I was beating people with 70+ mining and getting the ore, sometimes even when they started first. I would even have to say that it went faster when someone else was at a rock with me, than when I was by myself. :? I am starting to think, that this is kind of like clay resources with one resource in it. All players are clicking on it, and only one of them will get it. Could each ore spot have some kind of timer, that a certain number of "clicks" is needed to get the ore, and whoever gets the final "click" gets the ore? That is the only way I would think of this working out so that faster miners don't always win, and in fact lose more often. if I can get 3/5 of the mithril rocks that are in the mining guild vs someone with 70 or higher mining, and I am only at 60, surely something is wrong :wall: .
  22. You know....I highly doubt they would make a slayer update and only release one creature in one spot, level 78 nonetheless. I am glad they are including us, in no small way, in the naming though =D> . I read a few on the forum post, and there are some good ones :
  23. Cockroach soldiers are a great source of mithril ore, and to a lesser extent addy ore. They drop both noted, along with laws and deaths, as someone here stated. Chaos druids remain the easiest way to collect herbs at any level, I have used them for as long as I can remember. They also supply a good amount of mithril bolts. Ankous (not sure of the spelling) from the stronghold of security drop loads of bloods and deaths, as well as noted pure ess. Mighty banshee are a favorite task of mine, easy to range, and drop lots of herbs and noted pure ess. Eclectic imps are good for noted oak planks, addy ore, and gold bars. Just a few that I know. \
  24. "Here lies Yorik." "Alas, poor Horatio." "RIP Ophelia - beloved daughter and sister." "...let, last P..nce of ..." Graves outside the church south of Port Sarim, in reference to Shakespeare's play, Hamlet.
  25. Heh....The Early Bird Fights for the Worm reminded me of a cockroach soldier trip I had. I was only level 113 at the time, using just whip + defender + fury, ect. This level 130, out of nowhere, came next to me and started stealing my kills. Or, should I say, trying to steal my kills #-o . He had a SS, torso, nez helm, ect, for max str bonus. Yet, every single kill, he failed. I had so much fun goading him every time, as he got more and more ticked off at me every kill. He kept at it for about 7-8 kills, then he logged. I felt so good, seeing somebody 17 levels higher than me, trying to take advantage of that fact, failing so hard. 8-) You may say that I was the immature one, but hell, I was having a blast, so I don't care
