  1. Even equipment. Remember the redesign on the whip, and how the concept art had that purple glow around it. Fire capes can look much better. Ghostly robes could have a bit of eeriness. Also all the dungeons with the fake smoke could possibly be updated when particle effects comes out. Like how the smoke dungeon has that ugly gray filter on top of the screen.
  2. It's the best shield in the game for its money. Hands down. The only shield that can compare is the DFS, but the extra defense doesn't cut the ridiculous price. Keep it. It even has a prayer bonus, which can help tons.
  3. The system is perfectly fine. There are way too many ways to keep alive, and at any rate you've got freaking gravestones already. Consider yourself lucky that you have 6 minutes to get back to your grave, because it used to be 1 minute before your items appeared for everyone elses taking. I don't really want to come off rude, but it's as simple as not dieing. Every game needs a risk, and what you are proposing is taking away a big risk factor away. It's already nearly impossible to ever die in this game, so why make the risk factor even less. The last time a died by a monster was a few years ago. If I am going to die, I want to lose everything I have or else I'll never learn again.
  4. My GE updater txts me when it updates
  5. Because little to no people actually play the minigame. A few months back my cousins stirred up quite a craze on TIF with quite a bit of people doing the minigame. The rewards aren't necessarily rare, but there are so little of them in the game. It's basically like asking why Left Eye Patches were going for 200-500k on the forums at once. Because any items can be bought out if there is not enough of them entering the game. Whip prices could be at 20m right now if enough people decide to buy them out and sell them for that price.
  6. You can solo any boss except for Corp with those stats. The problem is you won't be as efficient. Chances are you would only get a 1 or 2 Bandos kills because your magic level is low. And because of your defense, the rest of the GWD bosses would be a little tuff. KBD is the single easiest boss to kill. It's basically a Black Dragon with three heads.
  7. Bandos :? It's much easier to stay alive, and will in the end help your team out more. If you are constantly slapping those band-aids and needing to restock/suicide you are spending less time fighting. Might as well use bandos because it's only slightly less offensive but has tons more defense.
  8. PK. You made the account the PK, so what better way to make cash.
  9. Use a shield... A BSS would be your best option because it has no negative range and a prayer boost, but a god book would also be okay. Wear D boots instead of snakeskin. More defense bonus, and your range is already 99 so you don't need help hitting anymore. Move your house tele tabs to the bottom of your inventory. One misc-click could [bleep] you up.
  10. You are thinking waaaay too long road for right now. Just train the skills you like to do, and if they get to 99 then -Bang!- you're there. Don't think, "lets train summoning". Think, lets have some fun by killing some monsters on a slayer task while watching The Office on Hulu.com, all the while picking up each charm I find. If you think like that, you will have a much better time.
  11. Don't get a DFS. Just use a defender or a BSS because there is much better things you can do with your money.
  12. Good luck. SwiftKit has had plans for a Stellar Dawn client for a while. Also you might want to watch out. That logo of the swish has been copyrighted by Jagex for a while now. You may want to change it.
  13. You put in the offer for min price and you got it, what are you complaining for? You knew what you were doing. I don't keep up with the rare amrket, a\so I wouldn't know what buys min. Keeping up with the market is as easy as checking the forums before you buy something on the GE. It's what you had to do before the GE. And don't be upset. As long as there is inflation, I do not see a crash in the rares market. It's just a small bump in a long rising road. Get some junk ready to trade with it once the mask goes back up.
  14. Get a better anti-virus program? If you haven't done a single thing about it so far, the guy who 'hacked' you is laughing at every sentence you type. And don't call it hacking. You can't hack runescape. If it was a keylogger its because you were downloading crap you should be downloading. If it was anything else, it would most likely be a butt buddy IRL that you share everything with.
  15. The main thing you have to put together is this skill was once the concept of Thirdscape, Jagex's planned third MMO, the game they had designed to come out after Mechscape. They realized it would play much better in Runescape, so they decided to make it its own skill. Bartering most likely, which has been my guess all along. My suspicions were fed when they released the new shop update. It seemed strange that they would make it work like it does, until I realized that it was most likely an anticipated release for the next skill. There are plenty of ways to train this skill as well, because you could gain XP by buying low and selling high to shops, NPC's and the likes. It could even incorporate the GE, so that merchanting would give xp as well.
  16. Taking out 76k'ing will NOT stop inflation. It will only slow it down a little bit. There are more actual pkers than there are 76k'ers. Real pkers are doing more harm to the economy than 76k'ers, because when they die they lose all there items. So that's one less set of bandos and an AGS in the economy AND an amount of pure cash put into the economy, thus rising the price of those items AND every other item in game. PvP artifacts are just as much to blame as 76k'ers. They are both the downfall to this game. I don't see why Jagex is taking so long to remove artifacts. Are they waiting to see if they can hinder 76k'ing?
  17. Update quality has improved quite a bit in recent months. Jagex is doing a really good job of paying attention to player feedback--hence the string of high-level updates and storyline-continuation quests in lieu of a new minigame every other month. Even if there were a couple misses (Woodcutting rebalance, ugh, that was the epitome of lameness), for the most part I'm happy with how things are being handled. It is hardly "Utterly massive." It is, in fact, rather small even compared to some single player RPG games. Note the fact that you said Single Player, rather than 150,000 at once player.
  18. @Nagrom_17 You've basically got it down.
  19. Here are my simple to follow steps to making millions in runescape. 1. Put a few offers for rising items in the GE (approximately 10 minutes). 2. Play some CoD: 4, Halo 3, HL2, LBP, MGS4, Pokemon, etc. 3. Go outside and get a tan. 4. Go to the mall and get some snazzy clothes. 5. Later that night go to a party, talk to a few girls, invite them over. 6. Delete the computer history and bookmarks of everything runescape (just in case the girls are nosey). 7. Have some fun. 8. Next morning, stumble out of bed from the invigorating hangover. 9. Get on your computer and put back the runescape bookmarks. 10. Get one runescape, check the GE, and sell the items bought for more than you got them for. Repeat.
  20. Yup it seems like they were. In the description of the video on youtube it had the name 13 planets. The game, at the time, was supposed to have a total of 13 planets as well.
  21. Let me give you guys the low down of what I've learned. Don't listen to websites like that; all they look for is a hot article. Mechscapeworld was given a live Q and A of Mechscape exactly 1 week ago with Mod MMG and another Mod (Spaceone, or Mod Flash on funorb). We were told that they had replanned the idea of Mechscape, and decided to rebuild it from the ground up with all the technology they have come upon while creating it. So to answer all the hub hub of this forums overload title, no it has not been canceled. Don't slip into what someone else says, and read into everything so profoundly. Stellar Dawn is mechscape. Stellar Dawn will be released in 2010. Stellar Dawn is the second MMO by Jagex. Forget mechscape, and remember the name Stellar Dawn. Edit: I'll even throw in the live Q and A link. http://www.mechscapeworld.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9997
  22. Yeah soloing is a bad idea if you are in it for the money. The only reason I see to solo is just for the fun of it. Doing a team CS or even LSP will be more rewarding than soloing.
  23. The market is stupid :( I don't have any junk at all because everything I own is completely liquid on the GE within an hours time. And I want to sell some stuff for over market price, but I can't.
  24. In the end it's not costing them anything really. They've learned so much from creating Mechscape that even runescape has been effected. Without the work done on Mechscape we would not have HD, full screen, and tons of new features that are not even out yet (Specular Lighting, Bloom, skybox's). Not to mention Stellar Dawn, which is the new Mechscape, is going to be so much better than what they had created before. Although, I do sort of wish they could start a small limited game of the unreleased Mechscape. It would be cool to play the game that never got released, and in it's own way should be considered SDC (Stellar Dawn Classic). They could take the game off servers when it's time to release Stellar Dawn.
  25. I think it is. This was made around the time they were experimenting with HD. Runescape hadn't even had HD yet, so chances are this was probably a small clip taken from one of the few HD areas.
