82-85 Herblore
Eh, each feather is like 18 minutes of antifire, so you can get 10/3 feathers per hour you ever intend to fight dragons. That is, you probably don't need more than a few hundred, which should be 30 mins work or so.

Godsword Discussion
The costs to get an EEE are higher than those for any godsword - by far. That's why I still like to get a godsword for slayer (saradomin).. The healing + prayer regen is better than every other item. I would say that you get much more if you are getting an EEE - extremes, for one, and a perfect lantern for two, and then a no-risk great healing weapon which serves as an overload timer for three. It's not like you're getting extremes with every sgs you buy, after sgs you still want those.

when should i buy my bcp,tassy and fury back?
I got my bcp a day ago and it bought at med after a few minutes. E.g. bcp was already turning around. Take a good look at the GE graphs, if they are flattening out, you're late.

82-85 Herblore
OrTradeMe is right in that herblore really depends on the markets, and if you can find out how it all works you can make herblore a lot cheaper. However it's probably not as easy as he made it sound :P. I'd start using mature greenman's ale to make special recovers at 82, then go for superantifires (as many as you care to get feathers for) from 83, spec recovers/antifires all the way to 84 then stew for xatt/xstr till 85 and make xdef there. That's the extremes you need for slayer.

Hunt xp options
Butterflies provide agility xp and are more relaxed than jadinkos, I think. Jadinkos provide seeds which are useful in farming herbs and in hunting with traps (scentless). If you want to max out, I'd do butterflies as you are 99 farming and herblore anyway, and the juju potions won't help your xp rates. If you want to do jadinko's, however, you would need to obtain the camouflage first, which takes a while (you need to gain the top & bottom in separate weeks, resetting on wednesday along with pengs/circus).

Godsword Discussion
The godsword is not considered useless because of its stats (it's a big part, but not all) but also because of its cost. For example the dragon scimitar or the whip may be superior to the rapier in risky/costly situations (pvp, cannoning dagganoths). Similarly the obsidian shield is not useless because you can use it instead of the dfs and not risk a chaotic (@ DKS). The godsword is never useful as a cheap alternative because it's not cheaper than the whip and has higher requirements (in attack). It's true that a low-defence pure has no access to defenders, which makes the whip worse on very high defence. However I don't think low defence pures fight high defence accounts or monsters (high defence = boss, mithril dragon) very often (might be wrong of course).

Protect Prayers looked down upon
Dangerous pvp reflects combat ability for the account as a whole less because you can't use extremes, chaotics, general expensive gear and such (without limit). That is, an account with very high herblore/dungoneering will have little advantage over an account without those levels but which is otherwise equal in a dangerous fight. So in that sense only a safe pvp environment can reflect an account's combat power (same deal with summoning, to some degree; fighting in single-combat sort of doesn't reflect the power of a high-summoning person). Ideally you'd have a safe multicombat area, no level restrictions and no gear restrictions to just go around and see who can win more fights (of whatever makeup you want, 1v1, ffa with 300 people and so forth). On the other hand, pvp skill can come without moneymaking/levelling skill, so maybe we should go around handing out free maxed accounts with an infinite supply of all gear :P. However the ability to make money from pvp is also something you can value, as is the ability to win fights with as little gear (in gp) as possible.

Returning after long time absence
If he wants to range, he can range. I'd first get a focus sight (+15% ranged on task) and a dwarven cannon (latter requires a quest). For ranging overall, you need defence, ranged, constitution and prayer levels, with perhaps summoning. Do quests that give xp in those skills. Dungeoneering to ~85 for a chaotic crossbow and rigour is probably a good idea, the crossbow only for high-defence opponents such as steels and mithrils. You can also get mercenary's gloves which are really not worth it but a fun accessory (they have the highest ranged attack of all gloves, but only by 1 point). Before you can start slayer, get around 50 ranged, defence and a bit of prayer. A magic shortbow can do pretty well in most cases. Final tip: Don't hold back on ammo costs/prayer use. Use eagle eye if you can, use ranging potions all the time, use runite bolts (or diamonds on high-defence things).

Barrowing
Sell Guthan's spear, skirt, helmet and dfs, get a dragonstone ring (i) or seer's ring (or berserker I guess), get barrows gloves and god cape, Verac's skirt, Neitiznot, don't bother with the holy wrench. I'm not sure but magic potions might be worth it (unlikely, but you can try). Consider simply meleeing the lot using either Verac's or a chaotic (which you don't have, but you can get one).

What herbs to farm
I'd do avantoe once you can for the xp, and go for level 68 to do snaps pretty soon.

TDs worth it without SS/turm?
If you are very good at switching you're using a steel and ss flashing as well, reducing food consumption to a minimum. But yeah, w/o turmoil you can at least use eagle eye or rigour which helps a bit, and a unicorn should basically be all the healing you need (perhaps an emergency brew).

Dungeoneering help
I have to warn against the maul, as you can't use berserker with a secondary style with a maul (because it doesn't have any). You want at least two agressive attack styles on a weapon, and you want a 2h weapon (as you're not using a good shield, which is the only advantage of a 1h weapon), which leaves the 2h as the best weapon.

Same dps, less work risked. In your case, either you camp abyssals for a few hours, or dungeoneer for 20+ hours if you die. And all that for the same performance (supreme having low melee defence & prime being ranged).

Master Penance Horn rates
I have heard it doesn't depend on the score you'd have recieved, and that the fastest horn charging is therefore doing the fastest waves (1-6 or similar).

Successful? Paid for turmoil and overloads, it did. And all without lunars (got no spellbook swap anyway or I'd have to carry an xmage pot). Fun fact: you need to apply compost before planting a seed, but the fertile soil spell also works afterwards. Gratz on the quest :thumbup:.

Dungeoneering prestige xp
You would have floor xp of level 1 and prestige xp of level 30, averaged to create base xp for a dungeon. Under exactly the same circumstances I believe each floor has a certain xp and the prestige xp of that level is the same. A great many factors affect this xp though so it's not really common to see the same xp twice in a row.

See if I can kick you into action, Opeth :P. New (well for me to own, lol) & improved slayer setup, now with rapier, ddefender, extremes, bcp, berserker (i), bonecruncher, gem bag, spec recovers. Notes: Don't use a bonecruncher on things that don't drop bones (hehe). Use herbicide if you have it and the monster drops herbs. Use claws if you have them, use tassets if you have them, use a fire cape if you have one. Repot at 5-6 levels, don't use berserker. Leave out the cannon on Kuradal tasks, of course, and use a ferocious ring in there. Use an offensive familar, a unicorn or a yak (already summoned). Bring scrolls for iron/steel titans, unicorns and yaks*. This is a setup for a fairly long task, you usually need less pots (and more cannonballs). The special recovers last perhaps 10 minutes. *(and perhaps geysers, not sure on those, you'll have to add/remove them as you see fit)

happy to watch a ten minute fight where neither player goes below 500 lp and one bolts after? sure... It sure used to be fun to chase scum in the pirates bar with ten people, only to have them teleport. Yeah I actually enjoy longer fights, yes. Seeing someone run would be a downer, I guess, but that's why you watch duels/clan wars and not Edge pking. A chase across the wilderness near the Chaos Elemental could be fun though. By the way this seems to be an efficiency issue (somewhat) that is very heavily influenced by fun and other people's perception of fun. Interesting to note imo.
