  1. lol at the evil laugh :ohnoes: Had to change that back actually, Broke the big news, cant have that. xD
  2. BAHAHAHAHHA
  3. Ye, if that's not enough, they'll hold your loans. But, hell; now that I think about it, this will in all likely cases be shot down in Court. But if it isn't... What if people don't want a loan? I mean, I know kids that worked their [wagon] off at 2-3+ jobs so they didn't have to take loans to pay for college. I work, no loans for me.
  4. As an Eagle Scout I have done lots of community service already. 100 Hours for a college student? I work 25+ hours a week with a 15 hour course load, I barely have time to breathe. Not happy with this even hitting the news.
  5. While I understand the need for a sidebar, that has to be the most annoying way to chop up articles I have ever seen.
  6. not exactly what i meant i meant you could have more resource at your disposal to increase content. not to get pay day... Unless this medicine has me high to the point I have lost my abilty to think logically - I was under the impression you were suggesting we were making money / getting paid for this partnership - and we are not. This cold does have me grumpy. So i'll go hit the logout button. :P
  7. we are not "Earning" anything for this Our moderator/Crew/tet/irc teams are volunteer based, as are our admin team. We are here for a love of runescape and tip.it, not to get a pay day
  8. I was a straight A student until my Sophmore year of highschool, then to be blunt, I just didn't give a [bleep]. My school had lots of people no lifing for the top ten. I had a social life and still graduated in the top 50 with minimal effort. Did it impact my college choice? Not really, did it set me back for life? Nah. The top kid in my class? he tried to kill himself after being accepted to top flight school after being socially inept. #2 - She quit school and is in the peacecore - #3 - drinks more beer than anyone I know. Long story short, of my top 10 vs my top 100, the lower part of the top 100 is doing FAR better than the top 10, almost 5 years after highschool. As a freshman in highschoo, My bedtime was 11 or 12, I honestly don't remember having one since middleschool and that was after WWE went off of the air whatever time that was 11:30 maybe? I never complained My parents were originally annoyed when my grades dropped, but i told them I needed space and they gave it to me. n ow i have a nice part time job running an isp support center at night, I am going to graduate with a BSBA in computer information systems in a year and am working on my MSCA. I also had a social life - or freedom in highschool. I think it's a bit jacked that your parents say you have nothing to be proud of. I have an IQ of 142, academically gifted and labeled as such. My college average is a B - C in Maths, but my parents are proud of my work ethic (work a part time job with 15 course hours) and they are proud of my accomplishments. They are proud of me - being me. Negotiation worked well for me on things like hanging out with friends in seedy pool halls, and the "Do this problem" worked well on my parents, they used to insist on checking my work, but my mother - who has done banking on a high level for over 20 years, says "We never use this [cabbage]" LOL. As for video games? In all, I can tell you I sleep/skip my macro/micro economics class and apply what I've learned from rs and pulled a B in macro, A in micro, so in some ways games can be educational. Runescape has helped my own the fly maths quite a bit. it keeps me sharp. I cannot stress what message boards have done for my sorry [wagon] writing skills, and I cannot stress how the online social interaction has helped me become less socially inept over time. As for advice - I don't have much sadly. But I will tell you right now - i took no honors courses, no regrets. You could tell your parents my story, doubt they will care, or the story of my ex-coworker matt, a college degree with honors in engineering and had a hard time getting a real job because he had no work experience. The harsh reality is - your going to need to escape via college and keep working on those grades to get a "Full ride" with dorming and the works, working to pay rent is hard and if you get a scholarship based on grades it's going to be hard to escape and keep your funding. You can get my msn from the editoral board if you ever want to talk. I wish you the best.
  9. Jagex will not demand us or require us to change anything we do here, this includes our articles. They want us to maintain our identity. I want us to maintain our identity. I wouldn't compromise our rules we have now easily. ;) As a result we will maintain our identity. I think they are doing something like sunli mentioned. Highlighting preferred fansites to get people away from bad ones. We have lots of mods, if we get more users, we will handle it, if the userbase outgrows our moderator team, we can easily take more moderators in to help, after all we have a very deep pool of users where moderators etc could be drawn from if need be.
  10. I have like 40 of these in my bank :-D
  11. I was wiped, unfairly on classic, for not logging in for 6+ months after the launch of rs2, while I love classic I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole because no way in hell would I rework for my stats and to be honest I am still annoyed YEARS later about it. , for players like me, who earned high stats to have it wiped due to "inactivity". I feel this is a nice and damn well respectable offer.
  12. Sadly, I know people who do. #-o I am one, and I enjoyed the quest. I dont understand or comprehend the whining.
  13. thats not really true... goin by annoucement posts rhq wins that one as they too where contacted by jagex but that was march 11th the newspost for em was posted... i see no reason for tip it to delay theirs so im assuming rhq was first... just mater of time till i see the other large fan site that sdtarts with a z post a notice... but then again they dont do a good job on blocking rwt ads... i used to see em all the tiome till i blocked em and even then idf still see some... i contacted em several times... all i ever get in response is "we try to block em" well you dont do a good job cause tip it and rhq dont ahve that problem... heck i even got a virus once from one of zy---'s ads... so they gonna have to try harder if they want to impress jagex... Although the dates do not matter, I will confirm that these talks have been ongoing for awhile and they just did not start. we wanted to get as close as possible to being able to announce a lot more. Consider this a warm up post!
  14. Whos saying this, and why dose it say it will provide our fansite with some unique content for tip it? I am saying it on behalf of the administration team in an effort to be as vague as possible while we do work out some content that would be found only Tip.it. I hope to provide examples very soon, as of right now, I cannot.
  15. I may be mistaken, but I've always been under the impression that MENTIONING fan sites is permitted. You can say "Yeah I was reading Tip.it the other day and..." or "I use the Tip.it quest guides," etc. What you CAN'T do is parade around saying "GO TO TIP.IT FOR RUNESCAPE HELP!!!" That's advertising, and that's what Jagex doesn't want. We hope to have that cleared up very soon! ;) Although tripsis interprets the rules the same way I do currently.
  16. While I cannot comment on content yet, They have said they will not ask us to change anything we currently do.
  17. It is *Really* good and very promising. I wish I could provide you guys with more details but those are still being hammered out currently. More soon I promise! ~Das
  18. Hello Everyone! We are proud to announce that we are now involved in a working partnership with Jagex. While we are still working out details with Jagex, It looks like this will provide our fansite with some unique content for Tip.it and it sounds as if they have some surprises and contributions in store. They also really want player feedback on various subjects and we will be starting to get that information for them very soon. We hope to announce more in the following days/weeks. You can read more about it: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=787286

  20. O you mean the "smd vr" spam? If so that would be exer. Toom me 5 views to see that, lol
  21. Didn't see anything bad in the video, watched the VR part twice. Seems normal and nothing foul to me. Infact, I know I talked a bit of smack myself. :P
  22. I've spoken to you guys about a steel war, was told you and the warlords would get back to me sometime, sometime on a sunday probably - looking forward to it whenever it is if we go that route.
