So BXP has been confirmed to be a flat, non degrading 2x multiplier, and it has been confirmed to be 2x on summoning, not 1.1x. Does anyone have a large number of charms banked? A construction record through bone running seems possible too.

I think the way to make RS less grindy is through more content, not through faster content. Obviously xp rates are going to increase slightly over time, but I'd certainly prefer more varied content with the same xp rate over some arbitrary increase in xp rates which doesn't really introduce anything new.

48 hours without sleep has been done plenty of times before by people trying to break records on runetracker etc. I think Drumgun probably did far, far more than that during his summoning week.

I knew a 16 year old maxed player, but that was quite a few years ago. Even if you play quite a lot every day, it usually takes at least two years after you start. Also, 1000 pages, wow. If Suomi keeps up the more relaxed pace, do you think we could see another skill released before he hits 200m all? They did say early next year for the resource gathering skill.

WFS in CT with steel titan are certainly faster. Not sure whether or not barraging lobsters is.

Dark beasts shouldn't be blocked. They are faster xp/hr than the average slay xp/hr, (assuming 50k average here) and reduce the time spent making pouches. Again, ice strykes shouldn't be blocked. Cannon with max mage offense makes them near enough the average slay xp/hr, and they significantly reduce the gp/xp cost of slayer. With the new +% damage robes I'm guessing they're even faster now. Iron and steel dragons, and abyssal demons, should all be done with soa. The slay xp/hr might be slightly under 50k/hr, but the charms/hr more than make up for it with the improved kph from using soa over rapier. You never run out of points that way also. Edit: If you have plenty of slayer points and want to get 99 ASAP, use Duradel/whatever his replacement is instead of Kuradal. His tasks are actually better slay xp/hr than Kuradal's, you just can't sustain it for a long period time without a decent amount of slayer points.

But then they doubled the chance of getting the other lamps, which are the slow, non buyable skills. They actually made buying spins more productive with this, they just disguised it slightly.

Practice comes through time, so that doesn't really matter. And the knowledge required for those games is also just acquired through time. There's nothing conceptually difficult in learning how to to play any MMO. Anyone can learn everything about the game - given enough time. At least with RS you have interesting quests to do as a break from the grind, in many MMOs the quests are some of the worst parts of grinding.

They probably told people not to prepare so that no one stocked up on supplies. Meaning the SoF promotion they released 6 hours after the bonus xp weekend announcement - containing packs of skilling supplies which just skyrocketed in price, and so are now very much in demand - would be more popular.

I don't see the problem regarding graphics, maxed out graphics in wow (the only other MMO I've tried) are also shitty for modern standards. As for other stuff, I guess it's because a lot of people try RS as young teens, then stop playing. So they associate the game with that age group, because that's when they played it.

I think it's more that RS has been around for so long now, that there's little left to do for 'casual' players. Since the more serious player is probably more likely to maintain a continuous membership, that's probably why most updates are aimed at them.

Time to PID and claw spec I guess.

Spec restores are a requirement for non shit nex teams, and since nex was the best gp/hr for pvm prior to the addition of boots + gloves, I'm guessing it is by quite a long way the best gp/hr now. So since you need spec restores anyway if you plan on making money through PVM, you might as well use them to slay too. That said, if your sole intention was to slay, Hedgehog has proved that making spec restores isn't worth it.

Around £350-400. Which I'm guessing is no where near what you'd sell it for.

I was trying to box him for a divine, but he insisted on me putting 13m over ge. Few minutes later he's boxing the green, so I'm guessing he lost the divine.

I wouldn't sell it for anything near what I'd get offered. I have something like 170 days playing time, not going to throw that away for a few hundred (or even thousand) pounds.

1. borrow party hat for 2 minutes 2. set as default hat 3. return party hat Not sure if this has been responded to, but on page 10 of the thread in future updates, a Jmod confirmed that you can't use borrowed items, and that whilst the hat is in your cosmetic override slot, you can't sell it either. Hence the spike in prices yesterday. Rares haven't been devalued, the Jmods have actually gone out of their way to ensure this doesn't negatively impact prices. Quite the opposite in fact :P

Updating this to 12b after a recent string of good luck at the arena :cool: . Got to 15b, then was ddos'd for ~ 2.5 and decided to leave as it's no longer safe for me to stake until my damned ISP sorts me out with a new IP.

Funny I should see this thread now. I did a 30 hour fishing session last week to get a daily record on runetrack (6 hours before the 'day' starts so I could get a head start.) That was a one off thing and significantly longer than any other time I've nolifed RS though, normally I'd consider 15+ hours to be pretty extreme.

I want a completionist's cape, and I want to finish my rare set. Perhaps I'll be able to get some sort of 'closure' on RS once I've achieved those, but I doubt it. It's simply an enjoyable way to spend your time.
