Thanks for dragging me into this. I may have said we should have a theiving guild, but I definety don't agree with YOUR take on what it should have in it. Anyways, I just want an herblore guild because I've suddenly become a bit addicted to training it...so my opinions may be more biased then logical at times. Eh...I can dream.
-
We don't need another "champion" "hero" or "legends" guild...we have enough. Plus, Jagex is already planning to expand upon the Hero's guild later this month. Anyways, if you ask me, I think we need an agility, herblore, or theiving guild.

If that wasn't the biggest load of bs I have heard all day.... Please...train defense. You have NO clue how useful it is until you sit down and train it. I was just in castle wars a while ago and killed a level 110 with no bandages and no help from others...and I'm level 103. After he died I looked up his stats. His strength and attack were leaps and bounds above his defense...however, he never hit that often because my defense is high. It's all about being equal, I'm telling you.
-
Actually not raelly, just keep atack and str a bit higher than defence so its easier to own people your level I disagree entirely. One of the very worst things you can do is raise stats unevenly. I strongly believe in keeping them equal...and I'll tell you one thing...with the defense I've got, there are RARELY many level 103's that "own" me very easily in Castle Wars, due to the fact that my defense is better than theirs. It's ALWAYS better to be well balanced in everything, than to excell in one thing. If you put more focus in one thing, the things you're ignoring will be low...and therein lies your weakness.

 everyone knows that lower prayers are useless i was talking about protect prayers. Obviously the strengthen prayers aren't that good. Talk to a bunch of high lvl meleer's and they will tell the benefits of prayer. That's not true at all, either. Prayer is VERY useful...but I can understand why someone with low prayer would find it useless. The 10% bonus prayers are extremely good. For example, you can drink a super defense potion for 20% more defense, put on say, a melee protect prayer, and then switch on the 10% defense prayer. Think of it...it's almost like you're 80% more protected from melee players in the wilderness than you are with JUST the protect prayer. Yes, it uses up more prayer points faster, but that's a small price to pay if it helps you obtain those precious seconds that can determine who wins or loses the battle. Also, the higher your level, the more prayer potions restore. I have 66 prayer, and with the holy wrench and 1 dose of prayer potion, I can restore 24 prayer poins, which is 96 prayer points in one 4-dose potion. This can be quite helpful when up against monsters that require more time to kill. The holy wrench, however, is only worth it when you have more than 13 or 14 potions. I personally think it's a great way to gain some extra prayer points in the fight caves, especially when you're using Saradmon Brews as food. Think of this: Bring 8 or so saradmon brews at level 99 hp. That's 544 hp in 10 inventory slots. Bring 15+ prayer pots with a holy wrench. This will give you 120 more prayer points than 15 potions WITHOUT the wrench would. It all depends on your prayer level, however...so you really need to calculate it before you attempt it. Anyways, those are just a FEW ways prayer is extremely important. People who don't train it I find are the ones who normally can't afford it, or are misinformed of exactly how useful it really can be.

Nice suggestion, but you REALLY should have posted it in either the SITE suggestion boards (these are more for the game itself) or sent it into the staff directly. It'd have much more of a chance that way.

Yep...exactly my point.

This was one of the very first Tip It. Times articles, if I recall correctly. Well, for one, you take all the money skills: Runecrafting Smithing Mining Fishing Woodcutting Theiving Farming Fletching (Which is woodcutting, crafting, and runecrafting all in one) Crafting Herblore Then, you find the total exp all the players in Runescape have in that total. This is were the guess-work comes in. You basically take that amount of exp and try to figure out how much money could be achieved in that amount of exp assuming it was all gained by using the highest means of profit available. Anyways, then you need to factor in that people buy things from shops, sell things to shops, get things as monster drops, and most importantly: DIE. Yes, every time a person dies and no one's around to pick up their loot, the economy can lose a fairly large amount of money. I have known people to die with phats, and no one was around to pick them up. Can you imagine how much money we have lost, just due to simple things like this? In my personal opinion, finding the total amount of gp in circulation is quite impossible. Anyone who claims to be able to do it "and almost be sure they know" is quite insane. No one will EVER know the total gp in circulation because that number changes extremely every single second the game is played. Quite impossible to calcuclate, but I would assume you MIGHT be able to get within the 1-10billion range of it...but I do doubt.

I don't mean to sound rude, but this idea is really terrible. Just leave the accounts alone. I mean, isn't not being able to log into that account and access those items bad enough in the first place? Why delete the items when one day there might be a chance to get a ban appeal? And...even if there wasn't, giving millions of dollars worth of items to random noobs isn't my idea of a fair game. Just because someone messed up doesn't mean the people who did the right thing should get rewarded. Last time I checked, you always do the right thing because it's the right thing, not because you want rewards for doing it.

Bonus XP for finishing Slayer assignments

*Whispers* Use broad arrows with a magic short bow. You can hit the same as adamant arrows with them, and also almost twice as fast as melee. It really seems to help better than melee. At least in my opinion, and my range is way lower than my melee. -
Downloadable ringtones for people out of the UK, pl0x? Lol...just kidding. I don't want a ringtone. Anyways, again I will say: Quit complainging about the updates! There are MANY other rpg's that are lucky if they get updated even twice a month...sometimes we get 4 or 5 updates in one month's time...and they're all fairly nice updates.

No, not like betting. He meant WE would actually be the ones fighting. I'm assuming this means that it'd be just like fighting without any weapons, except we're monkeys. lol The armor and weapon idea (the stuff you'd be able to buy) could be made into something great. Maybe we could get some new coconut armor.
-
Oh, we have enough. Rest assured, we do indeed have enough.
-
Defense even helps without any armor at all, if I recall. A person with 1 defense and no armor would have a better chance of being hit with damage than a person with 99 defense and no armor. Defense goes goes for everything. So there's no point in making two more skills for mages and rangers.
-
Sure, you could maybe take a stab in the dark and say those were plain damage spells, but what if they weren't? What if he intended them to be something different? Also, he needs to tell us how much damage each would do, and what the HELL Abyssal Runes are. Sorry, but I'm not convinced...this is a bad post just due to the fact that there's an extreme lack of detail.

i wouldnt expect exp for melting the stuff down, but still get exp for smithing the bars again Um, that's a big problem. You get xp for using 5 bars to smelt a platebody. Then, you melt it down into 5 bars. You smelt a plate again. Double XP! And, even if you weren't ensured to get all the bars back, you'd get more XP than now, and that throws the XP tables out of whack. Thanks for being creative, but no way :) lpinkus Agreed. You beat me to it.

If they felt it was necessary? Hell yes. Point is, it shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. Just don't break rules. It isn't as impossible as everyone tries to make it.

Spells: 1. No 2. No 3. No 4. No 5. No! (And for god's sake....explain your ideas!!! Sheesh!) Emotes: 1. Heck no 2. Fine 3. No way 4. No way 5. Not a chance 6. You're insane
-
Wow dude...just train a skill. Really...hanging out at the party hall? That's pretty....sad.
-
I think it's "do-able" just as long as you don't get exp for "reforging"
-
Here's what I say: You can be like the majority of Runescape's Meleers and be and idiot and train nothing but strength, so you can hit hard, but less, and be hit more... ...or you can train Attack, Strength, and Defense EQUALLY and be a well-balanced fighter. Honestly, the people who train to strength like 25 levels above defense are the ones that get owned SO easily when up against high leveled monsters and whatnot. Honestly...try killing the Kalphite Queen with low defense....I dare you.
-
Well, it definetly IS much better than the 140 attack, 105 defense, 40 prayer, and 140 strength version...but now, lol...(is almost afraid to say it)...it seems too weak. :P Here's a tip I use whenever I'm "inventing" new items for Runescape: Always always think about two aspects over anything else. 1. Are the stats realistic, and if so, are they good enough to be considered a drop from that specific monster? (Aka...Dark Beasts weapon drops should be STRONGER than the whip, but not so amazingly strong that it becomes too unrealistic. 2. Will it destroy the economy? If so, why? Merchants and what not will ALWAYS be an issue, but eventually, like the whip, the prices will fall. However, if the price is high because of the STATS, then maybe that's a reason to lower them. (For example, the first version of the warspear you had would have been sold for cash in the 40-50mill range, not the 21mill range.) So, here's what I say...make the stats better than the whip, but no more than 95 attack, 90 strength, 5 prayer, 5 defense to each stat, and make the special hit a percentage of your max hit, rather than a set amount. Also, make the requirements a BIT tougher than that. Maybe 70 strength and 70 hit points, since the whip I believe is 70 attack. Oh yes, and Mourning's Ends Part 1 AND 2 should be requirements to weild as well. Basically, here's what it would look like, revamped: Dragon Warspear: Requirements: Quests: Lost City, Heroes Quest, Regicide & Legends Quest, Mourning's Ends Part 1, Mourning's Ends Part 2. 60 Attack 70 Strength 60 Defence 70 Hitpoints Attack Bonus: Stab: +92 Slash: +92 Crush: +92 Magic: -8 Range: -8 Defence Bonus: Stab: +5 Slash: +5 Crush: +5 Magic: -8 Range: +5 Other Bonuses: Strength: +90 Prayer: +5 Special Attack: Swift Strike - 100% Charge - Always hits at least 60% of whatever your max damage is. For example, if you can hit a max of 36 with this weapon, when using the special you will ALWAYS hit at least 22 damage. Tradable: Yes. Where Found: Drop from Dark Beasts. Drop Rate approximately 1:350 Dark Beasts Street Price: 20,000,000 Gp for the first few weeks. Price would be expected to drop to around 8-10 Million within the next few months after the release.

No need to close it. Leave it open. I'm sure eventually the idea can be molded into a much better one. I say leave it open for discussion on what could make it a better weapon. It wasdn't a bad idea in theory, but in reality it just couldn't happen...that's all.

Dragon pick axe orginal - dragon arrows and boots?
Outsanity replied to thepo1's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
See, you know what I like about you? You listen to people's criticism and try to fix what's wrong. There used to be a certain person (name started with a B, that's all I will say) that used to grace our Discussion Forums everyday with his tons and tons of wastebasket-worthy ideas...except, whenever anyone would tell him his ideas were horrible, he yelled at us and told us to "leave him alone!" Basically, what I'm saying is, thanks for being mature. -
My face hits my palm, ladies and gentlemen...my face hits my palm... This is just....sad.
