  1. I'm glad you...erm...worship (Obsess over!) Saradomin...but I think you need to tone it down just a tad... Anyways, I suppose in Runescape I don't worship one god. I use the different god's strengths to my advantage by harnessing them whenever I see fit. Some might call me cheap and dishonourable, but hey...I come out better then they do. lol
  2. Nononononoononononoo..... I mean come on, why so powerful? You only get +105 with Daroks Greataxe, and thats more powerful then Dragon because its barrows. He already made a topic about it, and trust me, you're not the only one who thinks it's an utterly rubbish idea. I gave my regards to it in the other forum, that's all I'm going to say. Anyways, to further your knowledge, G-Runeit...I REALLY think you'd have some good ideas granted you thought them out before you posted them. Apparently as of now you do not know much about the economy or pking triangle of Runescape. I suggest you take a long while to study both aspects of the game more while playing, THEN come back and give us more realistic, balanced ideas. Take a look at my post a few posts back in this thread. THOSE are an example of balanced weapons. Not too powerful, yet useful and rare. No item in Runescape will EVER come even close to being as powerful as that Warspear...EVER.
  3. Lol....G_Runeit, everything everyone keeps telling you if going in one ear and out the other. The fact that it ruins the PK triangle should be enough, let alone it's way too overpowered anyways. If you want a weapon I'm going to look at, here's what you do: Get rid of the damn defense bonuses! What the heck were you thinking when you typed this?? Weapons RARELY come with defense bonuses, and even when they do, they sure as hell don't come with 105 melee defenses and 70 mage and range defense. You're an idiot for even suggesting it. Second of all, lower the attack and strength bonuses by...oh...say...40 points. Unless you were planning on making this as slow as the great axe, it CAN'T have that high of an attack bonus. If you want it as fast as a regular warspear then it needs to be in the 90-100 range, since the whip is already 82. Third of all, what on EARTH were you thinking when you wrote 35 prayer bonus??? No full set of armor in the game even gives that much! Make it...oh, say, 8 prayer, at the MOST. Fourth, you REALLY need to think things out before you type them, especially the special. What if the person who is using this weapon can't hit 25's? Obviously it'd be rare for a level 70 to be weilding this, but in that event, they wouldn't be able to use the special, or...shouldn't, at least. What you do is make it so the special allows you to always hit in your upper 75% damage range. For example, if you can hit a 30 for the max, and you use the special, you would not be able to hit below a 22-23. That would make it more reasonable for ALL levels. Overall, this is SUCH a poorly thought out idea. It really made my jaw drop (literally) when I read this post. My first initial thought when I started to read was "What the heck was he thinking???" and my last thought after reading was "What the heck was he thinking?????"
  4. Hmmm...let's see...assassins kill things or people when they are ordered to. What on EARTH does that sound like? Oh YES! Slayer! Let's see now...a skill that requires you to go through many courses in order to raise stealth....hmmmm...what could it possibly be? Oh YES! Agility! Now this last one is pretty hard...took me some time to figure out what it reminded me of () but I managed...I say...a skill that requires obvious criminal-like behavior, alongside with possibly looting the people you kill? Oh YES! That sounds like theiving! In simple words: No...we don't need this "Assassins" skill. P.S. Stop it with the putting ninja stuff into Runescape...please. P.S.S. We couldn't have Assassins anyways, since the runescape word censor wouldn't allow us to even say it!
  5. Yeah, but just like the Abyssal Whip I'm sure the price would go down drastically over time as more and more people get 90 slayer. (Not that I'm suggesting they'd even consider releasing something like this, anyways. lol)
  6. I don't mean to come off as a complete jerk, but maybe next time could you please use the search button next time? This is only () about the 2,000,000th post about Player Owned Houses. It gets a bit tiresome when everyone keeps making new topics as opposed to finding an existing one to post in. Sorry...just, yeah.
  7. Holy wow...I want to have your children. *confetti* This is great. I love it! Bravo bravo! (Now if only Jagex would listen to us and actually incoporate it...)
  8. Well here's some examples of what I think some dragon items should/would look like: ~I know it'd never happen, but my dream item would be a Dragon Whip. Dragon Whip: Stab: 0 Slash: 86 Crush: 0 Range: 0 Mage: 0 Strength: 86 Prayer: 0 Special: Uses 100% of the special bar. When used, your character is bestowed with the power of the anti-fire shield against dragons, even if they aren't wielding the actual shield. This enables you to wield an actual shield other than the anti-fire shield (Rune kite, Dragon sq, etc). The special lasts until your special bar regenerates back to 60%, so the con to using this against dragons is that there would be a 3 or so minute period where the anti-fire shield effect could not be used. The only monster that would drop the Dragon Whip would be the Dark Beasts, since at the moment they have no rare drop besides Death Talismans. The odds of getting a whip from a Dark Beast would be approximately 1:1000 Dark Beasts. ~The picture to the right of the Dragon Whip is MY version of the Dragon Plateskirt. I made this version long before the actual skirt was released by Jagex. I was a bit disappointed with their rendition. ~The two pictures under the Dragon Whip and Dragon Plateskirt are my versions of what the Dragon Arrows would look like. There are both the poisoned arrows, and the non-poisoned. The arrows would only hit one more max damage than crystal bow's arrows, but the advantage to using them would be that you could use the Magic Bow's specials in combination with the arrows, and also that the breaking-rate of the Dragon Arrows is much less than that of Rune. You could obtain these arrows from every type of dragon (not babydragons, however), but the stronger the dragon, the more arrows you can get, and the more often they drop them. Also, the Kalphite Queen drops them the most often, but in the same amounts as Iron Dragons. Green Dragons: Drop 5 Arrows once in about 200 dragons. Blue Dragons: Drop 7 Arrows once in about 170 dragons. Bronze Dragons: Drop 10 Arrows once in about 140 Dragons. Red Dragons: Drop 13 Arrows once in about 120 Dragons. Iron Dragons: Drop 15 Arrows once in about 100 Dragons. Black Dragons: Drop 17 Arrows once in about 70 Dragons. Steel Dragons: Drop 20 Arrows once in about 40 Dragons. King Black Dragon: Drops 25 Arrows once in about 30 Dragons. Kalphite Queen: Drops 15 Arrows once in about 20 Queens. So, as you can see, Dragon Arrows would be rather impractical to use due to the rare chance of a drop, and would be awful expensive should you buy them from other players. However, this makes it so only the most elite rangers could afford them, so that the pking triangle wouldn't be damaged by their release. Obviously, the best way to go about getting the arrows would be to either kill the KBD or the KQ. Note: Dragon Arrows would NOT be smithable, nor could you fletch them by buying arrowtips from a store. The only way to obtain them would be through drops from all (adult) dragons and the Kalphite Queen.
  9. I find that offensive. I find that VERY offensive. And also, who EVER said Runescape was for kids? Honestly...you need a reality check.
  10. I agree it needs some revamping...but idiots like you who post in all caps and can't even use periods and commas to indicate the start or continuation of a sentence aren't worth my time. So yes, it could do with some changes, but no...you don't need to be able to get red or black dragonhide from it. And better things as in what exactly? Please, don't be so vague. If you're going to suggest something, don't leave it up to others to complete the idea.
  11. Can a mod please close this? All it's going to do is get out of hand and flame-like again. Besides...the last post from the one that bumped it is 6 months older...that's a bit TOO long ago to be bumping a dead topic. lol I seriously wish people who search topics would look at the last date it was posted on. If it hasn't been posted on for like a week, for God's sake...don't post on it.
  12. 1 problem with that: If you want to buy bodies for 3 each, then you would have to wait ages for the store to restock, and it's hard to find such cheap runes around in shops, even with world-hopping. 2nd, it is not "masively fast lvling," after 55 magic. It is quite slow. At 43 magic you can get 85k an hour with superheat, and at 74or something there is ice blitz for 110k xp an hour. It is a cheap method for poor people or for pures, but who is going to shell out 15m for a stick with which to train their pures? :( It is a nice idea, however, for low level training. btw, hp xp owns. All pures want hp. Give it about a month or so and that staff will be what? 500k if that OK. Assuming that, and assuming that the time to buy the runes will take ages, yea, it's gonna take a while. On another note, buying souls for an average of 370 each (it starts at 350 i believe and goes up) that costs about 4 gp per xp, not counting the staff. That makes 52m for 99, plus the 500k for the staff. Not too cheap Souls start at 300 in the magic guild when stocked at 250. If you buy only 50 of them, you end up paying between 300-318 gp for each rune. Just world hop and buy 50 on each world. Works great, and you spend an average of 309 for soul runes...very very cheap. And a very great way to train...especially if you have this staff. ;)
  13. That's like feeding pidgeons. You give them what they want, and then their greedy beaks just want more. If you don't give them anything in the first place, eventually they stop trying and move onto something else. I, for one, don't reward begging. Anyone who does is no better than the beggar in question.
  14. I wouldn't be so sure of that. They are releasing the new dragon equiptment this month...I'm hoping it's a piece of armor rather than a weapon.
  15. Ummm...can some please...erm...translate this for me? It might only be me, but I can't understand what this guy is trying to say...
  16. Not gold trimmed, either...there is ACTUALLY an armor that is Rune Gold Plated. It's pure gold armor with rune stats. Yes, it's expensive. But if you want to look good, you better be willing to pay lots-o-cash for it. lol
  17. As lpinkus said: Bad, bad and bad. These ideas are terrible, and would mess up the economy ten-fold. Plus, use your logic with the shields and lobsters. Raw food sells for more because they give you COOKING EXP while cooked food doesn't. Players who want experience are willing to a pay a bit more. And also, more kiteshields are put into the game than square shields are. More monsters drop kites (I believe) and smithers would more commonly make the kites over the squares. It all makes perfect sense to me.
  18. He clearly stated you couldn't USE them on the free server...just equip them. I for one get annoyed when I accidentally click a member item I am wearing on a free world, and in order to put it back on, I have to log out, switch to a member server, log in, put it back on, log out, and go back to the free server. So yes, I'd like this...but I don't know if Jagex could do it or not, coding-wise.
  19. No...I am entirely against this idea. You know, there IS a reason why they are members items. Noobs would get ripped off by members selling member items to them. I mean, it'd be kind of like a rare in a way. Free players would want to collect them, even though they couldn't use them...thus, Members could charge oodles of cash for them No...it's just bad.
  20. This is a place for thought-out suggestions, not crap like this. this is also a place where we givre educated reasons why they are bad ideas not just "this idea is crap" you have to give a reason why... and the reason behing this is the same reason there are no mind, chaos, or blood staves... that is so that lvling mage would be to easy with those staves in existance I, for one, found the reason so blatantly obvious it didn't require justification, just eradication from all our memories. I agree. If anyone didn't notice, people such as Blaziken have suggested this exact same idea...and we all know how that always turns out...hehehe... Oh yeah, and if this ever was implemented, it'd have to cost 999,999,999,999 Gp in some shop that requires level 99 in all stats and all quests beat to enter.
  21. Using that logic natures should be cheaper than chaos in-fact they may as well make bloods the easiest to craft and as your rc levels get higher you get to eventually craft airs so long as you make airs give more exp. I mean this in the nicest possible way...but that paragraph makes no sense...unless I'm reading it wrong, which I doubt. Basically what you're saying is that natures should be cheaper than chaos because it takes 74 rc to make as much money off of double chaos as it does with 44 rc to make single natures? Well, I disagree on that account. Chaos runes as a single entity are sold on market for 150 gp each, and natures are sold for 300 each (on average). Well, obviously it would be way more profitable to make natures than chaos if you are below level 74 rc...but that's why it exists. If you want to make as much money crafting chaos as you do off of natures, then you must get 74 rc. Yes, you don't make more money in doing so, but you earn the ability to choose whether you'd like to craft chaos or whether you'd like to craft natures...without having to give up any profit. Now...I'll try to decipher the rest. About the bloods, I am guessing you're saying that my logic of "if you want to make more exp, you have to make less money" doesn't exist there...well yes, you are right...in a way. But did I ever once state anything about runes that aren't craftable at this moment in time? No, I did not. Therefor, you cannot transfer words into my mouth, and call them my own. With bloods, we can only guess Jagex will make them even harder to craft than deaths. (I suppose a mammoth-sized quest, along will oodles of other insane objectives, etc etc) This makes the rule balance itself out. In exchange for having a rune that not only gets you the most exp, but also the most money, you must go through a set of extremely difficult tasks to get it, as opposed to crafting natures which gets you less exp and cash, but has basically no requirements other than 44 rc. Also, again not sure if this is what you mean...but runes don't give you more exp per extra rune you make. If you craft 54 airs at level 75, you make 270 exp, even if you can craft 7x of them. Now, that could have all been sarcasm you were using, or perhaps you just didn't know (which I doubt)...but either way, if you're going to try to insult an idea of mine, at least do it with the proper punctuation and grammar so it's not like translating one language into another. Thanks. I think her/his reply was going on the reply before's question of "Do you want money, or do you want exp". Just because something requires a higer level to do doesn't mean it should be more money. If the thread author finds death prices too low, then he shouldnt make them. And this thread isnt well thought out. You say laws and nats are worth more then death, but REALLY, theyre worth less, in a rune shop. Go to the mage arena rune shop, check prices on laws, deaths, and nats. If I recall death is the most expensive one (I may be completely off, since I havent visited the mage arena in ages) is death. Laws are 300-400 ea off PLAYERS Nats are 300-400 ea off PLAYERS You are talking about general shop prices, so really, death runes probably are the most expensive. Deaths are cheaper, since there is far less demand for them. Even if the shop price is changed, the market price would most likely stay the same. More or less, the author is comparing the street price of laws and nats to the shop price of deaths. I know I reiterated a few times there, but I tried to make as much sense as possible I understand and agree entirely. Though, as you said...the prices really are determined by players, not the shops...so therefor, the natures and laws are still worth more, player wise.
  22. I don't quite understand your point here at all. It's not like fish are being stolen from you. If you don't like other people there, then turn public chat off. You have as much luck with fishing on your own than with 50 people fishing at the same spot. Not necessarily. I once tested out a theory that when fishing for swordfish, you catch way more tuna than swordfish if you're fishing with lots of other people, and more swordfish than tuna if by yourself. It seemed pretty true. I fished 500 swordfish/tuna at the guild with a spot to myself and got around 295 swordfish and 205 tuna. With catherby, catching another 500 and sharing a spot, it was around 270 tuna and 230 swordfish. Could have just been luck...but I don't know...seems pretty fishy to me....(sorry... )
  23. They have Full Rune gold-plated, you know. Hehehehe. Yeah, I never used mithril either. Mainly because there was a time period when I was super poor (poorer than poor to the present me) and couldn't afford mithril, but then one day I just decided "Hmmm...I am going to train combat and make money at the same time!" Well...I did, and by the time I had enough money to buy adamant, I had the level to wear it...lol
  24. I don't agree with it either. What about the countless people who like to become mage or range pures. Combat level isn't everything. It isn't a measurement of your greatness. Stop acting like it is. P.S. My total is 1476 and my Combat is 102. If you wanted Level 102 combat you'd have to have a skill total of 1530. I don't know if you know much about this game or not...but 1530 is VERY difficult to achive. Setting this limit would only hinder the freedom of the game...which is the one reason why I play it. I get to choose what I want to train.
