Please go away, troll. OT: By using the streaming video idea only for randoms, the issue of low bandwidth should be possible to address. Jagex could make new randoms which are difficult to computationally solve, yet still require very little bandwidth to stream. These randoms could be less graphically intensive than standard Runescape. Normally, the idea of replacing all current randoms wouldn't be something I would suggest, but in this case it seems like it could result in the permanent eradication of all bots. It's feasible to spend a decent amount of development time on such a large payoff. As for the specific random mentioned above, this is an excellent example of something which would be almost impossible for bots to solve under the idea of a streaming video engine mode. The idea itself could be tweaked to account for poor vision, but honestly regular Runescape is fairly vision-intensive, so there's only so much that can be done. If Jagex developed half a dozen ideas such as this, and implemented them alongside a streaming video engine mode for random events, bots could actually be a thing of the past. Please post with refinements/problems/etc to this idea, but unless something else comes up, it's looking like this thread has indeed come up with a permanent technological solution to bots. You also gain roughly 3 farm exp per point, so to get the shield spell you will earn ~2.1 mil farming exp; gonna see a lot more farming capes in a week or two.

From what I've seen a lot of the trolling is aimed at a few people on these forums who consistently post blatantly wrong or misleading information, I think I speak for a bunch of people when I say that I would love to see something done about those spreading misinformation as well.

They don't work because they can be broken or paid to have solved using a service like decaptcha.com (1000 solved captchas for $2). They do nothing to stop the illegitimate users, and are a pain to the legitimate users.

Yes, but they run the update on several computers well before it even goes "live". Runescape get a content patched update almost every week, one week is barely enough time to test anything. Before any content patch gets released in Wow it has to go through the public test realm for over a month or 2, tests by some of the most knowledgable players. It is not the same time frame. The proper way to release content every week is to build up a queue of updates months in advance. Giving plenty of time to thoroughly test them and ensure they are 100% complete and bug free weeks before the release dates.

So roughly there will be somewhere from 200-400 new owners of a new spirit shield with a sigil attached to it. As for Godswords and Bandos Chestplates/Tassets... I doubt there would me more than 1500 new owners of a godsword/armadyl/bandos gear. Corp was respawning in about 60 seconds on the world I was watching and dying in about 20, so more like 2000+ new sigils

For a task? I usually bring 4-5 + a holy wrench, a cannon set up, black mask, whip, ddef, etc I don't have piety but I don't see the point since the cannon does the vast majority of your damage and the black demons have pretty low defense. I just pray melee defense and let the cannon rip it to shreds With that few pray pots you are better off bringing a pot instead of the wrench

The GE only updates every so often, the only thing that would change due to more GE transactions is the time required to calculate new prices and quantity traded. After that the data is cached until the next GE update, so there is no need to keep updating things. Somewhere jagex has a major load balancing issue or something on the server is failing to work properly.

I believe you can only sell 50k spirit shards at a time. For someone with 2B in spirit shards (approximately one max cash pile) it would require 1600 transactions to sell the 80,000,000 shards (at 25 gp each). That takes a LONG time to do. That's why many uber rich players either invest in rare/expensive items or sacrifice a GE slot to store their extra money (with 6 GE slots, 1 bank space, and your inventory you could potentially have 8 max cash piles or 17,179,869,176 gp). Can also store gp using MTK can't you? Only 7,500,000gp at a time, and every day you loose 75,000 and quadruple your money, in items. Not a great place to store money, really just for a daily 150k or so. Thought it was higher than that for some reason, kind of strange they would even put a limit on it though.
