You've obviously missed the entire topic of this post, or have never seen an iPad/iPod. Neither have a touchpad and no mention of of one has been made, both devices use a tocuh screen and the cursor jumps to where the screen is touched. For both mice and touchpads however, you barely have to move the mouse or your finger if you have them configured the touchpad to be very sensitive or have a good quality, high DPI mouse. On my laptop moving my finger within a 1 inch square is all I have to do to cover the entire screen, my mouse only needs to be moved a quarter inch in any direction (5600 DPI).
