I'm not sure if this is the fastest way, but I tele to Camelot, then run to Catherby to take the charter ship. I can't remember how much it costs right now, but it's something above 1k, and below 2k. You could take a charter ship from anywhere; wherever you can tele closest to one. I think charter ships are the fastest way there.

This all sounds really confusing. I really hope that there will be some sort of end to all these quests. However, I really am not so great at remembering the storyline to all these quests. #-o I really can't even remember what happened in most of them, so I guess I'm good without the ending anytime soon. It would be cool though. :D

I'd say just mine iron (or buy it) if you're a member and smith it, then make it into iron knives and sell. You make a profit either way. If you aren't a member I would mine enough iron and coal in steel bars to get you your level.

You can also spin the bowstrings out of your own flax if you want too, which would be shorter than chopping all the yews. However, you would make a lot less profit from that than if you chopped the yews. It's up to you though. If you're only looking to break even I'd say buy the flax and make your own bowstrings.

Thats what my post was about too... I had no idea I was breaking any sort of rule, and I ended up muted without even knowing what had happened. I had to query Jagex about what was going on before I found out that I actually was muted. A warning really would have been nice, and would have worked just as well. :(

Know what I thought of while reading this topic? We still don't have a dragon pickaxe, right? So why not have those randomly generated scenarios, with random bosses at the end, and all of these bosses would have a chance of dropping the dragon pick. However, it would definitely be a challenge, seeing as no one really knows what's going to be thrown their way. It would be a lot of fun too. :D

You would buy willow bows of some sort with the gloves, and could somehow make a profit off of them, but that has nothing to do with getting an onyx gem. Wearing the gloves means that the runes you sell to the Tzhaar store give you more Tokkul, than if you hadn't worn the gloves.

I've heard that getting fish from MTK is supposed to be good also. However, with maples you have the chance of getting magic and yew tree seeds from the birds nests. I would put 100% on coal, and 50% on either fish or woodcutting, depending on whether or not you want to take the gamble for seeds, or just get the fish.

When you first started playing, did YOU know that the pickaxe was no good? For the longest time, my favourite weapon was the rune mace. Why? Because I liked the sound it made when it hit something. :P I thought it rocked. ON TOPIC: I can't say I've ever been a victim of wanna-be modding, however I do believe myself the victim of power happy mods. Once, quite a while ago, (so long ago in fact, that the black marks I received are a legacy punishment, and are non-appealable), I was trying to sell something in a bank. There wasn't many people coming or going, but being in my newby days, that didn't really register that I should go somewhere more crowded. Anyways, I was saying over and over, "Selling such and such." I'm not sure how long I stood there, completely silent to everyone around me, but someone else said they were selling something, and I wanted to buy it. I asked, "How much?" and they gave no reply. He asked me then, "How much?" and I gave my offer, only to be followed by him saying, "??? Can't you talk??" I sat there, and said, "Turn your public chat on!!" I had no idea that I was muted, or that I had done anything wrong at all. I didn't get a PM from Jagex saying anything. It took me ages to figure out that I was muted. I think I sent some sort of query to Jagex, and I eventually got a message back saying that I had been muted because I had been spamming. I'm completely over this now. I don't care, but I still feel that it was completely unjust of the mod who must have muted me. I was never given a single warning, and I would have seen it because I was the only one talking. I'm gonna end my sad excuse for a rant now, and let the discussion about wanna-be mods return.

That's kind of cool to see. Lol, in the last few comparisons, there's only one person with 99 in the 2003 picture, and only one person with 200m exp in the 2008 picture. :D

I'm not sure of the fastest method, but I know you need those crystal chimes so you can actually hurt them. I'm sure melee works well. I don't think they're a very hard monster to kill.

I think haircuts have been free for a while because there have been a lot of graphical glitches and stuff like that. It won't cost you anything to make your hair however you want for now, so go for it. Other people have reported becoming bald after using the lending system also. :P

I don't see why it wouldn't be worth keeping. If you need it, why would you sell it? So what if the price is falling, it's still just as useful as before.

Shouldn't be able to, assuming you mean credit and debit cards... I've had a debit card since I was a kid, but a debit card? Is completely useless over the internet. You need to enter a PIN for a debit card to work, and I've never seen anything over the internet that lets you do that. As far as I know, you have to be at least 16 to be able to apply for a credit card, but it could even be 18. And then you have to be able to keep up with the bills for that, so the banks will want you to have a job and proof that you can keep up with those bills. Point being: Most kids are not able to sign up that easily by by-passing their parents.

I've meleed a lot of iron drags before... and I still don't have even 90 in any melee skill. :P I wear Proselyte, take prayer pots and sharks and just whack away at them. I'm not sure if it would be effective at the levels you actually have, but there's nothing stopping you from trying. I'm also pointing at that it is not suicidal to go there with under 90 melee skills, and in fact works pretty well. :P

I think it's people like my brother who make this game seem so immature to some... He's downloaded macro's (along with viruses at the same time :wall: ) onto our computer and used them. He constantly is getting hacked (probably by his friend whom he shares his passwords with) and losing his account and starting a new one. I haven't watched him actually play the game but I wouldn't be surprised if he was one of those people who beg for money from rich-looking people and refuse to try to work at all just to get pixel money. He's been playing under the age of thirteen for a while. [/rant] Anyways.... I think this game is generally 13+ (ish). Younger kids seem to be able to play and enjoy it, and anyone older than that certainly can. I'm sixteen, seventeen next month, and I definitely enjoy this game. Just to throw you all off a bit, I'm also a girl. :P

Wow that sounds harsh. I got muted for "spamming" once, which I understand. However, had the mod given noobie-me a warning first? That really would have been nice, instead of just an instant mute. EDIT: Oh yeah, I have black marks for it. And it's a "legacy punishment," so there's absolutely nothing I can ever do about it. :wall:

Yeah I wanted the boots that look like presents... I wish we could choose between a few too.. and maybe change them later? Idk. But we would only be allowed one at a time. :P Maybe they'll use them in future years though. I really want those boots. =P~

Now if you could encase the cat in some kind of backpack you would be able to fly around.... This could be the solution to all our energy woes! Millions of cats and buttered toast, perpetually spinning to create an everlasting energy source! As long as the cats don't die. That.. is.. Genius!! =D>
