  1. I normally stab at a quest when it comes out and dosen't have a quest guide yet, but after the guide is released I do the rest of the quest with guides. As for old ones, that's irrelevant, as I've done all quests and this is how I've been doing it since the first new quest came out after I completed all of them in RSC (with guides :P ).
  2. Umm... does that work with crystal bow to see how many shots left? That will be extremely useful for a certain trick I know of =P~ EDIT: Nvm I checked myself, it dosen't have an operate use :( Darnit, that would have been nice. Here's hoping they will add that in the future.
  3. Looting! Example: Guy with phat in world 2 fally dies to chicken, drops phat. Noob walks up to pick it up "Sorry, you must be level 30 looting to do this." Noob: NOOOOO! I should have Trained my looting skillz! "Congratulations, you are now looting level 70! Members can now attempt to loot at: Barrows" But seriously, the worst ACTUAL skill is firemaking. Utterly useless. Edit: Sw00t, 1337 posts. 8-)
  4. Just choose a good and long alphanumeric password, never tell ANYONE your password (not even yer mum), don't download any third party exes for runescape, and you're fine. I mean come ON, if these people were actual HACKERS, they'd target Jagex staff accounts, or someone with 2+ bil gp, not your little account worth 20-100m at most.
  5. -.- I'm sorry if it sounded like I am flaming Jagex, but I have been very frustrated with Jagex lately, for various reasons, not just IMO the lack of content updates lately. I still stand by my opinion that having Behind the Scenes makes for too much dissapointment. If they didn't make a Behind the Scenes October and then this update came around, everyone would be like 'meh, cool'. And then when capes come they'd be like 'OMG YAAAAY' - appreciate it more. Or they should have at least not outright said they are releasing 99 capes this month - rather, done what they did with PoHs - did they say houses anywhere in that edition of Behind the Scenes? No, indeed they did not. Not nearly as much hype as if they did, and when PLAYER OWNED HOUSES!! was on the frontpage, everyone went nuts.
  6. You are joking right?? Nope, not joking  And yes, I know it takes months for Jagex to come out with a GAME update. You have the concept stage, the actual programming, bug testing, ect. But somthing like this couldn't have taken months to do. I just get the feeling more and more when Jagex pomises somthing good in the Behind the Scenes, it is just going to take backseat to other things and get pushed back months and months. Whatever happened to wilderness tag? That was months ago that they promised that. Mabye they should stop doing Behind the Scenes and let everything be a surprise. That would be better IMO, since like I said, most of what they put in it dosen't get released that month.
  7. Wow, yet again I find myself loosing interest in this game. Thanks Jagex, all you did for the game this week was tweak a few items so their operate option would work, which is somthing you could have done any week along with any update anyway. I get up at 3 in the morning to use the restroom, and I am so excited because I expect an update to the game I have to check; hopefully capes, but at least somthing like a quest to keep me fairly occupied until they DO come out. What do we get? NOTHING. I'm sorry, but this SUCKS. SO you had the entire development team working on this for a full week? For the love of God. I don't believe half of what they put in the behind the scenes anymore, because they don't even produce 1/4th of it in the month they post it. Very dissapointed in Jagex right now.
  8. Sound cool, just make sure the barrows items are noted when you drop them. Else they'll break
  9. Did you do the shrapnel shot yet? You need to do that before you start firing off actual rounds.
  10. Not only that, but it seems like the brothers have a very bad weakness for slayer dart. I can be clad in full barrows armor with obby shield whilst casting the darts and it hits them 80% of the time.
  11. I have always been compliant with rule 8, but I don't like it. There is no reason that you shouldn't be able to spend tons of your main's money to get a pure's level up. You spent YOUR time and the fruit of the skills that YOU triend on your main to get the money, therefore you should be able to make investments in another character to expand your enjoyment of the game. When I start my pure, I don't want to have to waste my damned time at the flax field making money there. It takes away the want to make a pure for me. I'd rather spend my time on my main account making more money per hour and using it to get my main's skills up, instead of wasting my time in the pits of noobville on another account so as to scrounge up meager means to get its skills up. And how is it unfair to the noob who dosen't know what runescape is? You spent time on your main gaining experience both skillwise and knowlegewise, so you automatically have an edge over him, weather your drop trade or not. No, it is not unfair to him, because someday he'll learn the game, get a nicely leveled main of his own, and want to start a pure of HIS own. Anyone can do it, thus it's not UNFAIR.

Mabye your account was locked because they think someone got into it? It's not like Jagex to ban someone and not tell them immediatly. I mean, how hard would it be to send the message after hitting the 'ban' button?
  13. People always seem compelled to shorten my name to 'per' or 'pero' or somthing like that. It bugs me. But once, someone called me 'perv'. That person went straight to my ignore list.
  14. Can't be bothered to look if this was already posted, but there is an obvious austin powers reference when you examine the piglets in draynor village. "I shall call him, mini pig!". And then there is the guy from the 'Slug Menace' quest called "Col Jake O'Nial", possibly a reference one of the main characters in the popular Sci Fi series, Stargate SG1
  15. I'd work my behind off and buy a few santas. Then I wouln't be so poor now. Ooh yeah, and right before the whole world ends when they release pure ess, I'd spend every penny on rune essence and then wait a month and sell it. Then buy my rares back. Not sure if you meant the time I first became a member or the stats I had. If it were the latter, I'd quit.
  16. Generally any game you find is going to have references to things outside of it. Doubtful that any game developers, being human, can't abstain completely from putting some kind of reference in their games. Although it does look a bit dorky when they are blatant references, rather than subtle ones. This one is definatly blatant, and certainly dorky :?
  17. I've gotten to Jad 5 attempts out of 5. Every time I die within like 30 seconds. I just can't switch prayers fast enough. It seems like fire cape is more a test of reflexes than endurance - the whole caves up to Jad is easy. Then after that you have to be perfect else it will be all over in 5 seconds. How fair is that to those high levels that either have a laggy computer or are naturally born with slow reflexes? Not fair at ALL. But yeah, you definatly take the cake. Good luck in the future. I sure hope I get it without having to go thorugh all of that.
  18. I only reccomend crystal bow if you have gotten the recharge price down already. Even then, it is kind of pricy. But, it is very good range xp, so if you have the bow with a low recharge fee, go for it. BTW, ardy dungeun is generally the best because in taverly dungeun it is almost ALWAYS packed.
  19. Just use RS forums, it's much more reliable. I don't think there is a definative spot in Fally world 2 where they are commonly sold yet.
  20. Here's what I suggest: Powermine in the al karil mine with the three ores, and hire a noob to haul it to the bank, and let him keep the ores for his trouble. Faster than dropping IMO, but not as reliable I'd imagine. He'll probally get bored and leave without warning :?
  21. Sounds generic: But yew and magic longs are the only thing I have alched, because y'know, if I can fletch both of those things, why not get some free fletching + mage xp for a bit of my time?
  22. Yeah, if any of you actually remember back to the official release of RS2, there was no tutorial island. They eventually got around to designing one for RS2 later on. If anyone remembers the RSC tutorial island - it didn't introduce you to ranging, or smithing. Those were things they added in with the new tutorial island - as well as the introduction to the new 'run' feature that came with RS2. And yes, early on in the days of RSC I believe you started out with 9 HP instead of 10, thus why some people still have level 3 accounts now with 9 HP.
  23. When you turn on the valve on the right, nothing happens, then you turn the one on the left on, water comes in, then you turn the one on the right off again and the tank fills up with water. Then you turn the right one on again, then the left one off - but at that point it looks like there is no water in the tank, but you still need to turn the one on the right off again to open the tank.
  24. Having 2 is a good thing though. Or at least I keep telling that to justify my supidity. You need 2 for fight caves, I have two. Also, there is a trick so where you can have a 10/10 bow through the whole thing, but it requires having two. Fire off 249 shots on the 10/10, then switch to the other one for the last shot and IT will degrade instead of the other one. Then switch back to the 10/10 and fire off 249 more shots, the one on the other one, and it will degrade to 8/10. When the other bow reverts to seed, recharge it. This way you are essentially paying 180k (or higher if you haven't gotten it down yet) for a bow that stays 10/10 at all times. Though, it requires you to either count your shots or kills, and then make a few kills on the degraded bow to be safe.
  25. ~Peronix I always have private chat on, I see no reason to turn it off. I don't mind being HYT'd, just don't be annoying. If I'm doing somthing like a fight cave attempt (especially if I'm on JAD  ) I simply cannot reply, so don't get offended if I don't, although I will if I can. And hopefully soon I won't have to 'attempt' the fight caves anymore =P~ Anyway, I'm not much of a people-person, never had any lasting friends in RS - kind of a loner, but I'm not incapable of making friends. Kind of demoralizing to watch fight cave attempts on Youtube and in every one of them the person has someone PMing them giving encouragement, though
