  1. Yes, people would rant and what are we supposed to say, "Do summoning, oh wait you can't." I guess your rant is telling people not to post comments on the rants about the wilderness. :shame: If you don't like the rants about the wilderness, the logical course of action would be to let those threads die. Not keep bumping them up with the same old "get over it" posts. But most people on this forum just can't resist a good bashing. Which I find unfortunate to say the least.
  2. Meh, if they want to travel all the way to the GE to get it for less, let them. Probably what will end up happening to them is once they get there the item won't sell. Then they'll regret not forking over a measly 750 gp more, which by the time they get there will already be far inferior to how much money they could make in the time they wasted. But time/money efficiency isn't something the common 'scaper can seem to grasp.
  3. Ahh good ol' speculators, the only reason prices skyrocket with updates like this. You'd better sell it at whatever it goes up to quickly, because I guarantee it will fall to a bit above what it used to be. And I was going to buy an SGS for 70m. Rats. Well I guess I don't really need it anyway... :?
  4. +1 i love the new mentality in runescape. everything jagex do is right and if you rant you should just stop playing. i think most runescape players have an inferior complex because of people telling them runescape sucks so they talk down any critisism towards their game so they can keep thinking runescape is the "perfect" game or something. even is the bank updates are good it still has flaws and without people ranting jagex wouldnt care about them, they are pointing out whats bad to make runescape better so let them rant. There's a fine line between ranting and Jagex bashing. The title "Another lazy cop out by Jagex" obviously puts this one far over that line. You'd attract much less flaming if you'd at least attempt to be respectful to the developers of the game for which this fansite was founded... is that really so difficult?
  5. Pfft, just about every game developer for every MMO I've ever played has had complaints hurled against them. They get accused of being lazy, jerks, or w/e... Game developers are human beings, not gods. Humans are imperfect therefore human organizations are also imperfect. They can't answer your every prayer. PS: The bold part made me lol. Near as I could tell, the bank update was something we all hoped and dreamed for and that Jagex never said they would be implementing. And they gave it to us; and all you can do is complain?
  6. I don't mind so much the number of withdraw options as the fact that they put withdraw X right in the middle of the three options I would actually use... do you know how many times I have hit that while rcing since the update? Literally at least 50 times. I really hope they stick that one back at the bottom of the list...
  7. /facepalm I keep [bleep] clicking "withdraw x" now when I'm rcing. Good job Jagex... :(
  8. Infinity: Currency and random stuff like greegrees, druid pouch, ect. Nature Rune: Magic stuff, teleports, runecrafting gear, and any item used exclusively to gain access to some area; eg ring of visibility. Saradomin Brew: Combat consumables. Potions, food, ammunition, ect. Dragonfire shield: Armor. Dragon Scimitar: Weapons. Slayer Helm: Slayer + Combat loot. Dragonstone: Raw materials. Blue Charm: Summoning + Pets. Hammer: Skilling tools.

    item lending!!

I think despite the obvious negatives like beggars it will be a good thing for friends who want to lend stuff to each other. As for lending items to complete strangers, I'm okay with it if I'm not planning to use the item for a specific period of time since I like to be helpful, but lending out stuff like godswords is really out of the question. I don't quite trust the system enough yet. I lent someone my whip today because I was rcing and obviously not using it, but then I can afford like 55 of them. No big deal if something glitchy happens.
  10. Ok you know what? I'll say it. WoW is a better game. What of it? Does that mean it's everyone's favorite game? No. Does that mean everyone can afford the $15 a month? No. So what is the point in even asking?
  11. Neither. They're two completely different games. If I ever got bored of RS, I'd go to WoW. And perhaps someone incredibly bored of WoW would try RS for a while... or maybe they could play both so as not to get burned out on either. You don't have to be loyal to one or the other...
  12. I think Kree would win as long as he wasn't Zilanya's first target. If he is, he'd get owned. In that case, it'd be a tossup between Gaardor and Kril (leaning more towards Kril..), because honestly I don't think Zilanya would survive for much longer after enduring Kree's ranged AND melee attacks.
  13. 1-3 seconds? Have you even used one? Abyss trips for me take like ~75 seconds, a graahk trip takes ~60 seconds :? I use on average 11 glory's worth of charges per graahk summon (RARELY messing up the teles... and it balances out with the times I forget one and use duel ring instead anyway) = 44 trips in 49 minutes. Did the math and that comes to more than 5k nats per hour; actually the figure I came up with was more along the lines of 5.2-5.4...
  14. What the hell is wrong with making that much money off of a skill? Aren't skills supposed to be... idk... useful? Not everyone wants to do godwars. (seriously, the PuGs on the RSOF were HORRIBLE.)
  15. (If I'm remembering this correctly) Deposit boxes were implemented along with bank pins as a way to deposit items even if you forget your pin. You'd have to be really stupid to do that, but it would suck to be one of those people and not be able to store anything.
  16. I agree. Personally I vowed that if nats ever fell under 250 ea, I'd stop rc'ing nats and ZMI the rest of the way to 99. I never imagined it would actually go that low... :( ...and they're still dropping. -.-
  17. When I was doing Rocking Out last night I noticed a few glitches. 1: The chat-heads on the charter ship crew in port ph... however you spell that... are still old style. Weird. 2. When I was putting together the brass hand the arrows to move the pieces were invisible. Took me a while to figure out what was wrong lol... 3. The roofs on the sunken ship under Dragontooth Isle and Braindeath Brewery aren't coming off when you set your option to "always". They only come off when you set it to "selectively". A few other glitches: 1. My mounted glory is... invisible? :-k 2. Snowballs are oversized when wielded. 3. There are odd items sticking up through the ground in my PoH in certain rooms called "nothing".
  18. Thing always seem worse when you apply derogatory terms to them, don't they... And if Jagex is making more money because of this update, they're obviously doing something right. If enough people hated this update they'd loose money, not make more.
  19. well the majority of the regulars on here prefer their forum to run smooth. the regulars should have more rights than the guests. you can take your whole 59 posts elsewhere And you can take you 410 posts elsewhere. :shame: And you can take your 800 elsewhere :shame: Haha, but seriously post count doesn't matter. I know some people on this forum with high post count that I find to be total [wagon]... As to not allowing guests to view the forum, I think that would be a bad idea. But I think it would be a great idea to limit the number of guests that can be on the forum at any one time. That way only guests trying to get onto the forum during a game crash get denied.
  20. Yes but frankly it was waaay better than any other spot. I'm not saying chins will be worthless but if this was in fact an intentional nerf then chins are going to drop by quite a fair bit, I'll promise you that.
  21. If they aren't re-appearing from the bones then it's probably a glitch. Why would they just completely remove a unique ability like that? Yes chinning is kind of overpowered, but frankly it's the only thing keeping hunter as a good stable moneymaker. Without that hunter is just another useless skill.
  22. Pfft, range animation looks awesome now. And bows *gasp* actually have strings! [hide=][/hide] How is that [developmentally delayed]ed? I swear if it were up to some of you we'd still be way back in the beginnings of RSC where the most powerful armor was steel... so many of you seem to feel that change = bad no matter what it is.
  23. Graphics look amazing. I'm still in the process of exploring the whole game again. Some places look absolutely stunning. I did a barrows run this morning and gawd it was spooky  Here's a pic though I thought was cool :D [hide=][/hide]
  24. I'm surprised they didn't do this sooner, honestly, and I'm surprised that it's only $.95. I was paying more than $6 anyway before I got my debit card, so I don't really care much.
